Now that I think about it, they never released a CE guide for Reaper of Souls.... Ugh, I'm hoping they haven't quit on CE guides (but they probably have). Poor incomplete collection :(.

Never mind - just found my answer to Legacy's launch in the EU/UK here. The OP is correct. It's 11pm GMT so just under an hour from now. I can play this in an hour!

I wonder if simply playing on the EU server would let me play it then (in US)? Obviously without keeping saves and such if so. Wouldn't play campaign but might check out co-op missions (lame name change) and get used to the new units a bit.

Did they remove or change the macro mechanics for LotV multiplayer?
I keep wondering if the Zerg still have that fucking Larvae Injection. I might actually like the Zerg if they didn't have that... I never remember to use it and missing it hurts a lot.

I hadn't been following it that closely, but the team liquid list posted earlier in the thread says injects are not truly automatic, but can now be queued as soon as you have enough energy for another like unit production. So it gives you some leeway to cast a bit early, or multiple in a row if you get behind or your queen is threatened.

Also says Chrono boost is automatic in the sense that is now a permanent 15% boost to a (changeable) building rather than a 50% short burst.

Doesn't say anything about mules there, just that they've been nerfed to 25 minerals instead of 30.

T-minus 20 minutes for those in Europe. Excited to start the campaign. Probably going to play until I get too tired and then resume tomorrow night.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
So I'm watching the Flash vs Jaedong LotV event match and why was this EPIC fucking match casted by two terrible, TERRIBLE casters?

It's a legendary match between legendary players and these trash got to cast? Why?

Just got my StarCraft 2: Legacy of The Void Collector's Edition from my local bestbuy! Box looks amazing but the physical contents are definitely lackluster compared to other Blizzard CE's. Got it for $53.89 after gcu discount and some gift cards.

was about to ask that, thx.

One of those that really like the SP campaigns, so hope this one delivers like the previous SC2 two did (gameplay/level wise).

Meant to get a few hours of sleep before waking up to play. Can't sleep. Just minutes to launch.

Fuck it, allnighter it is.

I'm pretty sure the woman had no idea what the new units did, and the guy only a vague idea. Thought the adept in the other match died when it teleported away. On the cyclone - "Why don't you tell me what it does - for the viewers".

yeah, the meta part of the campaign was fantastic.

Still, i would have loved some more laid-back classic RTS missions.

It's hard recalling a single mission in HotS that didn't have some kind of mechanic that pushed (forced) you into progressing.

Be it Zagara collecting baneling eggs, the Gorgon Battlecruisers, the Protoss transport ships, the Psi Destroyer, the Hybrids being woken up, Narud challenging his beam,
Which is why my favourite mission in HotS might just be the one where you start off with those 4 infestors - there's no forced "complete this mission before ..." deadline. That and the very last mission.

I ran out of resources in that Infestor mission on Hard. And i think i had to restart it... lol.

I said somewhere else that i'd like more traditional RTS missions where i can do things on my own time. Forced tasks are an annoyance, not fun.

This is basically what I want from SC2 every day for the rest of my life.

Terrible.

Huh, it appears the maintenance will last 1 hour more...

The fuck? The maintenance lasts an hour into the release time?

Wait what? Battle.net is down for maintenance until midnight GMT? Then we can play the game? The fuck? Why advertise 11pm then? Damn you Blizzard. Okay I know it's only an hour but I've been hanging around waiting for the past hour hoping to play this. Do you guys know if it definitely say the game is playable at midnight?

i'm not gonna wait this one out, i'll just take the afternoon off, tomorrow...

how the fuck am I downloading a 6go patch at 4Mo/s wtf

My max download speed has always been 1,5Mo/s

i think some of it is unpacking pre-loaded content. It showed 60Mb/s for me at times, and my connection maxes out at like 8Mb/s

Yeah Blizzard's EU Twitter (posted in the link above) says the same:

UPDATE: Due to a technical issue, the Legacy of the Void deployment is now scheduled to complete at 01:00 CET. Sorry for the inconvenience.

So it's basically midnight GMT/1am CET as a kind of maybe if Blizzard pulls it off in time? Uh yeah I might just leave this until tomorrow. I was only going to get about a couple of hours of playtime tonight anyway. Still looking forward to playing this once the technical issues have been resolved though.

That speed gauge has always been broken, now just moreso than ever. I remember getting slightly more than was possible in the past, but now it almost looked like it mixed up megabits and megabytes or something.

I was wondering the same thing. Task Manager gives my download speed as 16 Mbps ie 2MB/S, whereas Battle.net claims 10MB/s... which is simply impossible.
Guess it counts installation and other tasks to the number?

Hmm. Wait 40 minutes to save Aiur or just wind down to go to sleep relatively soon. Decisions. Usually what happens is the campaign becomes super addictive and I can't actually stop playing so I may need to hold off just so I actually sleep later.

Might just try it out at midnight and play the first mission or something, see how it runs and then just call it a night.

That both reassures and disappoints me

For a minute I thought my isp unlocked something

Not so into the MP (due to not being that good) but look forward to playing the campaign when I finish replaying the first and finally getting round to playing the second.

This is me! Maybe in a few years I will get around to them all lol
