No, they shouldn't. They should just remove whatever rules they have and allow medium sized lists. It's either 200(psn/small) or 1000(plat/full), there's no in between. So you either have awfully padded games such as ico(a ps2 game filled with golds that involve beating the game multiple times quickly) or games with missing achievements like Call of Juarez Gunslinger.
Why do these star wars ps2 games need platinums, just because they were retail games at one point? That means nothing, if they are dearth on content, then just let them have small lists and be done with it. Ico should've not had a plat, driveclub bikes should not have a plat, everybodys gone to the rapture should not have a plat, etc. I'm sick of every other damn game coming LOADED with golds and then when something doesn't get a plat they just turn their nose away in disgust.

I think your dream of having consistent trophy lists is exactly that, a dream. They're meaningless points, regulating them as heavily as you suggest would be laughable. Just be glad they aren't a joke like Steam Achievements.
In my ideal system, every game would get a platinum but the devs could decide themselves on how many points their game awarded, with the ceiling being ~1000. So some games may still only award 200 points for completing everything but you'd still get the platinum at the end.

I did the console version first, but I'll be doing the Vita version eventually. It's a great game, the trophies are just gravy.
What regulations? I want them to be free of rules and have odd numbers of trophies. Bounty hunter should have a plat and it's a shame it doesn't, the other 3 are fine the way they are.
I wish sony would put like a checkmark or something to indicate how many 100%'s you have.

You said games like Driveclub Bikes and Ico shouldn't have a platinum. The only way to actually figure out which games "deserve" a platinum or not would be to set up a team that determines (or regulates) this.
They already have odd numbers of trophies btw.

I'm now working on Snoopy's Grand Adventure. The graphics are REALLY nice( I feel like I'm playing the cartoon) and it's a gold trophy goldmine. Redbox had a free code on all movies/games this weekend so I said sure, I'll take a free plat.
Pro tip for anyone playing who wants a very easy dodgeball gold trophy(survive the boss without getting hit) if you stay on the very far left corner and just throw the ball that is there you will never get hit. Works every time.

Good story, kind of boring for some of the game, fun gun play and extremely easy platinum.
Beating a game shouldn't be the entire trophy list that earns you a platinum is what I'm getting at.

Anyway, anyone holding any Neogaf trophy boosting parties for Star Wars PS4? How big a party do you think we would need/could get so we could do all trophies. Since they are all multiplayer trophies it looks like it could be a easy plat for all of us. Just a thought if anyone here is interested. Not like I need any more trophies this month.
Without dipping into spoilers, the game didn't quite complete. It just ends rather than resolving, a ton of plot points left in the air. But I started playing it in January, so this was a 10 month long wait to see the ending. If you play it as one big game it may be a better experience, or if you play it right before the newly announced season two starts up.
You should play Game of Thrones to know what a true disappointing finale is. I would honestly like to hear your comparison thoughts between the two.
And OP, not to nag, but have you thought about what to do for this month since it's so late in the game. I mean making a thread that will be obsolete in a week and need a new one for next month sounds pointless to me. Also next week is a major holiday week in the US so I don't see this thread getting much traction anyway. I also think IMO I'd like no thread this month IF it meant next month's thread would be put up in a timely matter (say within the first week and a half) but then how would the points be handled would you combine October's scores with November or just do separate brackets for each month with the trophy stats for each month (winner/most trophies earned that month, etc)?
I don't know what does the thread think we should do about this month/ next month?

I was thinking, maybe this thread could just be a general trophy thread and the OP can be updated with everyone's new numbers at the start of the month and added to the trophy card wall at the start. That way the thread remains the same and it's a general trophy chatter without a ton of work redoing it all every month.

No-one should play Game of Thrones. What an absolute garbage game.
That's exactly why I want a monthly trophy thread. IMHO I actually like to see the stats/rankings of the trophy hunters on GAF as I like competing with them each month. I'm sure many would agree with me. Creating that is what's holding up the new threads every month. So if OP's doing that much work he should just go ahead and make a new thread as 90% of his work is done.
IF we keep this thread I guess a mod can edit in the new thread title for the month (as I like that too- we had so many cool thread titles we could of had this month) and PLEASE do an edit to the OP where the trophy cards are in order as I could just reference that to see where I compare to others monthly/during the month. Right now it is so hard to find my card because they are out of order. And I guess new members wont every get added then either.
I say we at least do one more thread with the trophy cards in proper order and then OP can do what he wants. But if we are keeping the monthly trophy stats (which I want) I don't see why creating monthly threads is that big of a deal as that's 90% of the hold up between months. Just my thoughts.

Im the guy who said to abandon this month's thread and start over next month BECAUSE I know how much work this is AND because next week is an american holiday and I don't want to see the OP go through all the work just to see it wasted as not many would reply next week (I believe he's not US, so he may not have known and I wanted to stop him from doing all that work for nothing). I dont know why people are glossing over that I suggested to abandon this month's thread because I know the work involved but whatever. Also, OP saying I'm coming here every other day to request a new thread is stretching it as my posts have been a week apart and I was just checking in as I am interested in this thread.
That being said, I'm still interested in doing Battlefront with GAF members to help us all get the plat. I've also seen OP on my friend's list do going through the BLOPS 3 campaign. I had a group of non gaf members but they all quit after the 2nd mission. Any thread members interested in going through that game with me?

I honestly had to boost the entire journeys during 100% risk events. During regular multiplayer, it's not 'bad,' but the people playing multiplayer now are a bunch of aholes (even after you politely explain what you are doing).
Getting the wins and 40 people trophies are fairly easy.
If you're talking about the various collectibles and Survival Plus....ooh boy, yup I was ready to give up with that too.
I thought they were pretty easy once you get the mechanics down.
Honestly, the hardest race to me was the RC car one on a roof top. My advice is to just use the D-pad only for steering as it doesn't operate like the actual in-game cars.
Just got platinum, was a pretty great game for the $15 I spent on it.
On to Infamous: Second Son (I just got a PS4 in October, so I'm playing catch up)
I don't know what I'm doing...I finished the game on Normal, which was probably a bad move. Then I moved onto Left Behind in Survival mode and just keep get my ass handed to me in one of the rooms in the mall.
I loved the hell out of Infamous: Second Son. The platinum is a good time, too!
Oh sweet, those are my favorite ones to platinum as long as you're having fun.

I wanted to win the most trophies gained in November (which I guess I won't find out until the 15th). I swear, if I don't win this month I'm giving up and just playing games for fun again because I put in major work this month.
Also Drawn To Death's trophies were just revealed and I think they just might take the cake for weirdest trophy titles ever (can anyone think of a weirder titled list). You be the judge.

Really easy platinum and a really fun game.
Platinum #33 - Bloodborne
I was completely blown away by this game. I had never played a souls game before and I was hesitant because I'm not too great at these types of games, and I don't really like to be frustrated, but the game was much more doable than I thought it would be. I really enjoyed the experience and will definitely play some of the older souls games some day.
Really easy platinum and a really fun game.

I was completely blown away by this game. I had never played a souls game before and I was hesitant because I'm not too great at these types of games, and I don't really like to be frustrated, but the game was much more doable than I thought it would be. I really enjoyed the experience and will definitely play some of the older souls games some day.

When I did the thread for a month, it was done manually, calculating the numbers and entering them into a spreadsheet. It was a massive pain in the ass and took me hours to do. Yes, there's nothing "complicated" about it all. It's just a massive soul-crushing time-sink.
I'm not sure if Rtbeoh managed to get it more streamlined after he took over, but either way, everyone should just cool it. This thing is a pain to do.
What about that LA Cops game you told me you'd do this month? LOL

I got the Platty for The Walking Dead at the beginning of the month. Working on The Wolf Among Us (not as easy as TWD but should still be fairly straightforward), and I may have Grim Fandango soon, although probably won't be this month. Not a big fan of the game to be honest, so I'm using a walkthrough.
I'm trying to avoid adding new games to my profile if I don't have to, as I want to reach 40% completion rate by the end of the year (currently at 38.96%!).

I'm debating on whether or not it's worth getting the Platinum for Shadow of Mordor. I finished the main story and most of the sidequests, but I'm just kinda done with the game now. Maybe I'll save it for December.

I ran out of motivation before finishing everything in that game. I had to make a matriarch ghoul appear (or whatever they're called) but she wouldn't spawn, so I gave up chasing the trophies once I'd reached 70-something percent.
