I have seen a lot of dudes with Brock Jerseys since last season.

Don't jump the gun unless you want 100s of Broncos jerseys I guess. lol

For anyone that's curious, Vernon is a slightly above average DE who had the benefit of playing with an amazing DE in Wake and a really good DT in Suh which are responsible for his higher than average sack numbers.

He was pretty good 2 years ago though.

i'm assuming he could beat out gabbert in a competition but no one knows what cheatin' chip would decide!

If the Broncos offered something, and he was to get beat out by Gabbert then it's a lose/lose because you eat his cap and get no picks in return. Otherwise, you'd have something to show for it.

Maybe he returns to glory though?

not really. this is a league where fucking Brock just got paid close to $20 mil a year. i think the niners could take it or leave it. what is the point of trading kap for a 4th rounder?

p.s.

its down to the niners and raiders for sean smith!

Signing a guy is much different than trading for a guy. No team is generally going to be stupid enough to trade a first round pick for a bad qb hoping that a change of scenery will cure him. Might as well just keep him if they are asking for a first. I can understand not selling low, but if Kap isn't the guy might as well get something for him.

Why sign Bradford if Chase Daniel has a chance to win the job out of camp? How can you pay Bradford $22 million to sit on the bench?

we already have plenty of picks, more than can make our roster. don't need the cap room either. we currently have the most cap room in the NFL and i don't see us signing many FA's going forward either.

the point is teams are desperate for QB's, even average ones. unlike a lot of these QB's, kap has proven he can perform in the league. he has won playoff games, ROAD playoff games, taken his team to the superbowl. if you were to put him on the broncos, with that defense and kubiaks offense, i guarantee he is going to have a great year because that is similar to what we had years ago.

as for "might as well get something for him", nah. 4th rounder for kap is nothing and just a waste. rather he rots on the bench for another year if that's the case.

Fair enough, but the dead cap escalates dramatically after this year.

It wouldn't surprise me if the money is holding things up more so than draft picks.

kaps contract is structured on a year to year basis. as long as we cut him before april 1st of each year, we are off the hook. so he is essentially on a 1 year, $15 mil deal or whatever it is. we have something like $65 mil in cap space (and that is with kaps contract already considered). we good brah!

Wait so did Brock sign with Houston? Can't find any confirmation? Don't care at all

EDIT: 4 YEARS $72 MILLION DOLLARS JHWIAUHFUIAHD HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

I am just done. Wow. Brock got paid though congrats. But lmao what the fuck

On one hand, I'm REALLY fucking bummed about losing Mebane.

On the other, that frees up a lot of money for other stuff.

Losing Sweezy is pretty big too as much as I didn't like him. We REALLY need Okung back now.

I feel like we're losing a ton of people and not really bringing in anybody. Remember when everyone wanted to come play for Seattle? :(

Fuck let just build a new line from scratch.

Andy Reid stole Jeremy Maclin from us.

Also, how does Chase Daniel have a chance to win the job when Bradford is basically playing on a franchise tag?

I get how his deal works, but the point is are you going to vest his salary this year only to have him get beat out by Gabbert? It's a $15M cap hit to test the waters. Then you have to do it all over again, but to the tune of $19M the following year. Assuming he makes the roster.

Plus there's the whole "the backup quarterback makes more than the starter and that will piss off the starter" thing. If Kaep isn't the starter, they will not keep him on the roster.

Tracy Porter resigns with the Bears. He allowed a passer rating of 107.2 when quarterbacks targeted his coverage.

#Bears give RT Bobby Massie a 3 year $18M deal.
NARZ's RT Bobby Massie had the 15th Worst Pass Blocking grade among Tackles (7 sacks, 6 hits, 39 hurries allowed)

Da Bears?

Media generating headlines.

Bradford is your starter, Daniel is your insurance policy.

bucs gaf your team got swindled by his agent

I am still laughing 3 years 45 million was the highest offer Broncos could do. Texans went 4 years 72 million.

I don't blame you at all Elway. Still laughing.

we don't have to pay him anything next year. if he is beat out by gabbo this year then yes, he's an expensive backup.... who cares? we don't need the money this year anyways and then he is cut or traded before april 1st of next year and he's off the books forever.

Very nice, the only suggestion I have is to fill the rock "blank space" up with something, whether it be another gradient or something overlaying it.
