I also think the guy the Rams want is Wentz. Partly b/c that is the guy the Eagles want, and they were the other team in on the bidding. Seems pretty obvious that CLE wanted Goff, but I'm sure they'd trade out if they could get what TEN got

Anyone got any netflix/amazon movie recommendations?

If you like action movies, and don't mind subtitles, there's lots of good stuff on Netflix. The Man from Nowhere and The New World are good starters

e: disrespectful, paper

I'll say this, any NFL writers that are declaring one guy was the Browns guy for sure I wouldn't trust at this point.

Before the trade I wasn't sure the Browns would stay at 2 and now I'm still not sure. I'd want a Qb at at 2, but can't say I'm confident it would happen (Goff or Wentz). But I know both are liked to some degrees

I know Browns have looked at a lot of other qbs too, if some trade down did happen guys like Cook or lynch could be targets later.

i would again just say any reporter declaring one guy is our definite favorite I wouldn't read into it much right now.

No way to know for sure I've heard both that Eagles love Goff or Wentz. Depends on who is reporting.

Browns should just trade their pick, they'll win the division with RG3.

Wentz hurt his ankle against Montana but kept playing. Probably why NDSU lost that game. That's either a general liability or a locker room strength.

Sorry all, I grew up an NDSU football fan. There are literally dozens of us (seriously though we bring 10k plus to Frisco, TX for championship games, the stadium only holds 20k).

You know thats a cool thing. Having a guy you grew up with potentially being a franchise QB and overall #1 pick. I went to high school with David Carr so i know exactly where you're coming from. At the same time, every single one of his plays is now being dissected and scrutinized, and that's also fair game. He can potentially set a franchise back for 4 years, or get you in the playoffs for the next 10. I dont see a 3 TD game without him also throwing 2 Ints to go with it, he passed for 300 yards only once (in two years). To his credit he rushed a good chunk of yards. That's a fair concern to have. But the guy didnt play against bowl teams. If he played for Kentucky would he have gotten his team to a bowl game in the SEC? I have no idea. That's what makes this research fun. When you defended him ewrlier i figured you were either his agent or a relative.

Just going by the brief footage I saw of Carson Wentz on Gruden he has the Andrew Luck/Cam Newton/Big Ben power movement in the pocket combined with speed. His arm looked solid hitting an out route to a WR.

But looking at his accuracy he completed 62.5% of his passes his last season at North Dakota State. Against the competition he faced he should at least be throwing 65% IMO.

For comparison when Ben Roethlisberger came out of a relatively small school, Miami of Ohio, he completed 69.1% of his passes..

Just looking at Carson Wentz game logs against teams like Montana or Jacksonville State nothing from his passing statistics wows me. I don't think he threw 200 yards against Montana.

What did stand out to me in Wentz game logs is his running ability, but is he going to run like against NFL defenders?

Jared Goff played against much better talent against underrated PAC 12 defenders, so if I had to choose it would be Goff.

Luckily the Lions don't because we have a franchise QB.

Wentz didn't play in a pass happy offense. You actually have to watch tape, not just read game logs. He averaged 26 attempts per game in a pro-style run first offense that featured west coast concepts. He made all the protection calls and pre-snap reads, his OC used NFL verbiage to call plays. The kid is a day 1 starter. The only thing he is gonna struggle with is the speed of the game, but that's what rookie years are for.

In a division with the Ravens, the Rapist, and the Red Rifle?

Okay.

Pretty much.
Ravens: As long as the team stay healthy this year they are a wild card contender.
Steelers: Easy playoff contenders
Bengals: I see them being just okay this year record wise.
Browns: Hue will be dead inside by game 13.

Rosenhaus officially drop Manziel yet?

Nah, there's still 2 or 3 days for Johnny to magically gain a conscience, care about someone other than himself, and check into rehab for good

It's not happening, so we've got 2 or 3 more days of waiting for nothing except maybe an obituary

It's fair, FCS is a double edged sword. While almost 1/2 of the Missouri Valley Football Conference was ranked higher than many P5 conference teams (Sagarin) and higher than a lot of FBS teams it's legit to wonder how he will do with NFL talent.

One thing that has been discussed though, is whether the jump from top of the FCS to a P5 FBS conference is at all comparable to the jump from a P5 FBS conference to the NFL. I think the jump from FCS to say ACC where Winston played is less drastic when putting the jump to the NFL on the same graph (so to speak). I mean, The top of the FCS can compete with the middle (and some times higher) of P5 teams, but even the best P5 team would likely get blown out b the worst NFL team.

Kid can make reads and can make throws. I don't think anyone can say whether the sacks and INT's were as much about waiting for the play to develop with lesser talent or due to inadequacies in his game. The optimist would argue that he saw and knew where the play should be long before his teammates and that defenses could lock in on that or key up blitzes on that. The pessimist would argue that he got sacked and intercepted because of lack of knowledge of the game. NFL coaches seem to think he knows the game so it might be the former; that is, he looked worse due to being surrounded by lesser talent.

Just a thought.

If he's a bust I will still be happy that he got drafted in the first round, if not 1st overall. But, I would feel bad for the team that drafted him in such a case.

I thought new year was like early February?

Cambodia has a different calendar?

Bitch. We Cambodians don't associate with the Vietnamese or Chinese.

That being said. I'm on call tomorrow. Think I'm gonna play some Fire Emblem and go to bed. Is this what life is like as an old with a job where you don't drink?

He struggles reading defenses and his progressions are slow. See a lot of staring down his first read and then forcing the ball or going to the check down. Even worse, sometimes he'll get stuck looking for his receivers. That's from watching the tape. NFL defenses will be much faster and more complex than those of teams in the FCS. Physically, he has all the tools. No question about it. Does he have the mental make up to progress to NFL star? That's why teams do all these visits and workouts.

I hope he makes it. Seems like a good guy. But there's no way I'd put him down as a sure thing.

You can't be going out to sushi without having a beer with your meal. Common man!

Was Fire Emblem Awakening's story as bad as Fates? Also nobody answered me, Earthbound or Link to the Past?
