Thor movies seems to be the only one with decent villains

Not really surprising since Loki is Thor (adopted) Brother and had the most screen time of the villains.

Taika Waititi directing. dude made What We Do In The Shadows which was the secret best movie of 2015 plus he worked on Flight of the Conchords and a couple of critically acclaimed films i haven't seen yet. fuck it i'm hyped as hell.

I don't know the director nor have I seen his movies, so I can't tell how good he is. I think there was another (rumoured) actor/actress to play in Ragnarok, but I can't remember.

We're getting Skurge? Hopefully we get this at some point:

Don't know a lot about these characters, but a quick googling is giving me the basics. Grandmaster makes me think Thanos will be a part of this, but what I'm really interested in is Skurge. It says he was a member of the Masters of Evil with Zemo. Is there really a chance of us actually getting a cool villain team?

GLORIOUS casting.

Both the cast and crew of this movie is VERY inspired.

My only doubt is ... Karl Urban means that Skurge will be a CG character, right ?
Or Urban needs to SERIOUSLY hit the gym =P

Very surprising that they're confirming the new cast *and* their roles this far from release, given that they still haven't announced who Mikkelsen and McAdams are playing in Doctor Strange, or who any of the new cast in GotG2 is playing, aside from Klementieff as Mantis.

I want to believe but Marvel has let me down twice with Thor already. They also keep screwing him over in the Avengers film.

He will get on the "Marvel Diet" and be just fine

Holy shit, Goldblum is an amazing get.

Who's Skurge? Sounds like a villain, which worries me that he'll be some grim muscle. I don't want Urban wasted like Adewale was as Kurse

Its Marvel Newsday, would be surprised if we dont get this today.

Disney have played it well. A normal Thor movie following Thor 2 and a middling script could risk not doing very well. So they add Hulk, make it happen in space, add Goldblum etc. They have basically made it a certainty it will out gross Thor 2.

I am in awe of the MCU on the business side.

Taika Waititi
Hulk
Cate Blanchett
Jeff Goldblum
95% off-earth
No earth cast

There's no way this movie isn't fun as shit.

Seriously, which awkward eccentric mad scientist is he playing?

He's the Grandmaster, the master of all of the games in the universe. He's extremely intelligent and has the Power Primordial (not the Power Cosmic) is pretty much immortal.

Interestingly, he was the owner of the Mind gem, which Thanos already had in the MCU. Who knows what they're going to do with him, but I imagine he's the one that sets up the Planet Hulk-esque gladiator games in this movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Glenn Close, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, Kurt Russell, Sylvester Stallone

Spider-Man: Homecoming - Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori

Thor: Ragnarok - Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban

All of these are downright INSANE.

Man, this movie is going to suck. But, can it manage to be worse than the other 2? (Thor 2 was the worst by far, but both sucked.)

These guys aren't going to make it better. Just campier.

At some point every major actor and actress will be involved with the MCU in some fashion.

Edit: Everyone keep mentioning Hulk...Hulk is still on earth. The ship the exiled himself in didn't seem like something that would be capable of leaving Earth's atmosphere.
