There was an explosion inside a dumpster in New York City. A few with minor injuries, but there hasn't been any confirmation of a bomb or terrorist attack, although another explosion occurred earlier in New Jersey right before a charity race, and they did find a pipe bomb-type device, but no relation between the two events have been found.

Nothing else has been reported.

Thank you.

Hopefully Trump does not try to opportunistically spin this into a thing about muslims and claim "I was right all along" like he did with the gay club shooting.

It will be days before any motive will be devised. It's incredibly unlikely it's organized terrorism.
We've been pretty good about catching the funded organized groups, it's the lone wolfs and idiots that are the problem to catch.

Spends 3 paragraph criticizing a dude. Ends with his disdain for critics. Checks out.

I literally cannot believe that someone whose writing style would not pass a middle school English class is the preferred choice of literally tens of millions of Americans to the the President of the United States. My mind cannot comprehend the level of willful ignorance required to believe such things.

I wonder how long it'll take teh right to start saying that Obama sounds angry and gives off a bad characteristic. Inciting race baiting at the black caucus.

Would you say that you are so much better at doing what he's doing than what he is?

They will do that and follow it up by a verbatim reconstruction of the K&P black republican sketch.

That's his speaking transcribed, not his writing.

Most politicians look terrible when transcribed fully, especially with any "uhhs" or other verbal ticks. Obama can read like a real doofus when not cleaned up* because he can drop in an "uh" or six every other word at times.
Obama: So, if if if, you're voting for the other team, it’s not because of the economy. It’s not because of the economy, you gotta be. You gotta be clear about that. I mean even, even, even, even, even the, uh, even the, uh, the, the Republicans on the other side don’t really know what the guy’s talking about.

Hillary is too reckless in not committing troops for him:
Robert Gates said:
Neither has addressed what the broader U.S. strategy should be toward a Middle East in flames, from Syria to Iraq to Libya, and where Gulf Arab states worry about their own stability amid growing doubts they can rely on the U.S.; both Egypt and Turkey are ruled by increasingly authoritarian strongmen; and an Israeli-Palestinian conflict further from resolution than ever.

Mr. Trump has suggested we should walk away from the region and hope for the best. This is a dangerous approach oblivious to the reality that what happens in the Middle East doesn’t stay in the Middle East. Mrs. Clinton has ruled out putting U.S. ground troops in Iraq and Syria “ever again.” That is a politically driven categorical declaration of a sort no president (or candidate) should make, and it raises the question whether she would pull out the 5,000 U.S. troops now in Iraq. She has expressed no new ideas to deal with the boiling caldron that is today’s Middle East.

Except when she isn't:
Robert Gates said:
Both candidates have a credibility problem in foreign affairs. Mrs. Clinton was the senior-most advocate for using the U.S. military to bring ill-fated regime change in Libya and, further, failed to anticipate the chaos that would follow—the same failure she and other Democrats hung around the neck of the Bush 43 administration in post-Saddam Iraq. She was for trade agreements before she turned against them in this election campaign, just as she voted for the Iraq war in 2003 and then, several years later—in her first campaign for president—opposed the troop surge there. She has much-discussed credibility issues apart from national security, but these also influence foreign perceptions of reliability and trust.

Trump wasting no time jumping on the explosion in NYC, even before details came out.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told a crowd at a rally that a “bomb” went off in New York City before any confirmation came from official sources about what caused an explosion in Manhattan on Saturday night.

“I must tell you that just before I got off the plane, a bomb went off in New York. And nobody knows exactly what’s going on. But boy, we are living in a time — we’ve better get very tough folks. We’ve better get very, very tough,” Trump told his supporters in Colorado Springs, Colo.

“It just happened,” he added. “So we’ll find out, but it’s a terrible thing going on in our world and in our country. And we are going to get tough and smart and vigilant. And we’re going to end it. We’re going to end it. We’ll see what it is. We’ll see what it is.”

Trump, who made the remarks at the start of his speech, quickly pivoted to tout his poll numbers. Trump’s campaign has not responded to multiple requests for comment from Yahoo News about how he may have obtained information about the cause of the explosion that was not publicly available.

According to the NYPD Counterterrorism Unit’s Twitter page, 25 people were “confirmed wounded” and none had “life threatening injuries.”

Trump's incoherence isn't just because of transcription of verbal tics and pauses though.

It's because everything that comes out of his mouth is incoherent waffling bullshit to begin with.

Well, true, except he writes EXACTLY like he speaks. His Twitter is just "Loser is so low energy. Sad!" I mean, I know you only get 140 characters, but that's enough to make a salient point and write in full sentences, and he's utterly incapable of that (that sentence was fewer than 140 characters, incidentally).

Would you say that you are so much better at doing what he's doing than what he is?

Oh hell no. I'd be terrible as a politician. Or a reality TV star. Or a business magnate. Or a duplicitous greedy lying shitbag. It's not my forte. Trump is very good at what he does, I'll give him credit for that. What he does is absolutely shitty, however, and the exact opposite of what anyone should want in a leader. I mean, for God's sake, if any of these blue-collar folk who are voting for Trump had a boss who acted exactly like him, they would HATE that person. He's just completely and utterly irredeemable in every regard and the world is a worse place with people like him in it.

So, what the fuck happened to Conway? Her touch has been notably absent from the past 48 hours and it feels like we are back in vintage Trump mode. I could understand yesterday morning being a fluke, but Trump's given two rally speeches off-script. Just looking at some website headlines, it's like we're back in the height of Trump's lunacy. Was there some major internal power struggle that we didn't hear about?

Also, GODDAMN at Obama's speech. He is the GOAT, no doubt.
