I had the exact same problem with Puyo Puyo. I got the run around after contacting support via chat. I persisted and got a $5 credit applied. /shrugs. I got Puyo today instead of "promised" launch day.

I have a feeling this is going to happen with MK8D as well. I'll complain again, and get another credit applied. If I get a $5 credit, my total for MK8D will be $6.47 lol.

Really? I can notice a pretty big improvement over the Wii U originally, especially when playing with split joycons.

The problem i see is that HD rumble doesn't make much difference when you can't visually relate it with a specific action, i mean, the ball count or milking games feel great because the game gives you visual clues, so the brain associate the vibration to the context.

In other games, like Mario Kart, i think it's harder to make this connection between what you see and what you feel.

Good grief, this is gorgeous on that handheld screen.

The shift to 1080p on the TV has impressed me too. I'm usually a framerate guy more than a resolution guy, but it was instantly evident how much the higher res helps this game over the Wii U version.

I downloaded this from the Japanese eshop a few hours ago. My first time playing MK8. I played a few courses in handheld mode and it plays well and looks pretty good. Have not tried it on my TV yet.

So far it does not wow me like BOTW did, but I need to give it more time.

Start at 50 so you learn the basics and get a good idea of the tracks. Then slowly ramp up to 200cc. We'll be waiting for you there.

Successfully bought the Japanese eShop version from Amazon JP, now downloading! Saved around $18 Canadian dollars. Had to switch the location of my Nintendo account from Canada to Japan and will do the reverse once the game has been downloaded. That's the way to do it, right? Read on reddit that this method works if the account has no funds, which is my case.

2.5 hours. Then I got an email in Japanese advising me to update my payment method. 5 minutes later it charged my US Visa debit card with no issues. I used a Japanese address on the Amazon profile, but the card was my regular billing address.
