So the electronics not working for her (automatic door, hand dryer) is that reference to the leftovers?
if not that plot point is an interesting coincidence.

I was waiting for the payoff for the orchestra introduction in the beginning
😐
I was too psyched just to hear the Peter and the Wolf narration to be annoyed with the fact that it didn't really seem to go anywhere. I used to listen to my cassette tape with that performance piece every night as a kid.

They went pretty easy on her all things considered. The sfx made it sound like they turned her face into pulp.
What exactly were the goons hoping to accomplish there?

Yeah, I'm not sure either.

If they had killed her, they would've ended a loose end with the brother but leaving her alive just causes more problems. Maybe they want to make the brother's feud so big that they kill one of them and end it all? Then again, they're the type to just do it right off the bat and not give a fuck.

I thought this episode was a big improvement, it gives me hope for the rest of the season. Things felt a lot more focused and less self indulgent. Really liked the scene between Emmit and Sy.

Not Wario
Went through season 1 hoping "incompetent everyman" in Freeman would meet justice. In season 2, thought Peggy's insanity really dug them into a grave that poor Ed ended up jumping in.

Season 3 though, man, Emmit and Sy do not deserve this. At all. This is just sadism.

This is the first season of Fargo where I'm 100% hoping the bad guys lose.
Malvo was a charismatic sociopath, but Varga and his goons are just disgusting.

It's a slow burn but this season's getting good. I think all the actors are just terrifically cast (and I have a huge celeb crush on Winstead tbh). Varga's just so disgusting in every way, even his awful teeth make more sense when you know he throws up after every meal.

The one thing I like least this season is the color palette. Why they decided to completely desaturate the entire thing is beyond me. This thing's grayer than Saving Private Ryan.
