Put the rematch feature in lobbies so i don't have to go back and wait for the long loading after every match

The music in this game is on point! Whoever did this music please let them on the team making Ridge Racer 8 (common namco make ridge racer 8) Also the visual design of this game along with sound is just great. They really nailed the feeling of the hits and combat that I hope a lot of people took and take note on. Now that I have it at home and not on a fairly bad monitor at the arcade, I can really appreciate it. The subtle zoom ins, the massive zoom ins the slowmo's and what not is just so good.

To be honest I think god-tier soundtrack really came together before this, in Tekken Tag 2. This is just as good though; taken together it feels as if they decided to emphasize Tekken's roots as Rave War with high energy and a celebratory atmosphere. It's a carnival of punching.

This so damn much. It's funny that this option exists, but it's only available against random people you get matched up with in Quick Match.

One other thing they should add: Multi-game lobbies. The functionality is already in-game, as the tournament mode can do it. And they should also make the tournament mode pay out whenever people lose and the payouts dependent on the entrants you had, not how many people stick around to the end (and that's assuming the host sticks around and doesn't kill the bracket for everyone).

So many little annoying things... -_-. (With the matchmaking connection issue being a bit more than little and annoying....)

I don't understand why every fighter doesn't adopt ASW multi-game lobbies

The online stuff with PS4 is so unacceptable. I wish I had gone with the PC version.

I joined a tournament and was automatically marked as losing. I wasn't even put into a round. I couldn't voice or text chat or do anything at all, and had to close the application to get out of the tournament menu. I never even got to play a round, the menu just locked up and never even left the bracket screen.

I would much rather have Tekken's kind of garbo lobbies and netplay that actually works than ArcSys' nice lobbies and trash netcode, 100 times out of 100.

Ideally we would have a fighting game that manages to get everything right, but beyond Skullgirls and KI we're probably going to have to wait on Riot's fighter (if that's even still a thing) for that.

And on that note, they really should have done some kind of beta for the online modes in this game. Launching a big game with online functionality with no public test of any kind in this day and age seems really hairy, even if it's something they've managed in the past.

All I want are Lilis princess curls. :(
This, so goddamn much. Why does the drill hair have to be such a pain in the ass to unlock? Namco plz. :<

The west doing something better with fighters compared to Japan
What a time to be alive but Skullgirls and KI are no joke tbh

was doing the character stories and they're pretty smooth with the exception of the one where you play as eddy, don't like the character at all, lost 4 times to Chloe. Just decided to take a break was starting to get salty lmfao

I really don't want to get started on this or I'm going to be ranting for pages. -_-

To me, it's just sad how hacks for random doujin fighters (like IaMP and EFZ) have better netcode than most fighters released today. And with NRS finally addressing the issue in their engine with MKXL and Injustice 2, it's squarely an issue with Japanese-developed fighters at this point. That's the most frustrating thing -- this has been a solved problem for a long time, but developers do not want to implement those solutions for one reason or another. It's not easy, but videogame development in general isn't easy.

Hell, I would say those hacks work online better than T7 does -- but at least T7 manages to get close, which is better than most releases.

I haven't been keeping up, but is there no way to make online work on PS4? I heard there were issues, but figured they'd be fixed by now (haven't had time to play casually until now). There's no work around or anything?

Picked this up as my first 3D fighter and have been having a blast. Worked my way up to Brawler as Eliza in ranked but it's become instantly clear how much worse my movement is compared to everyone else. Any good guides/videos on the subject?

Pretty much have 0 idea when to sidestep or just in general how to move as well as everyone else seems to.

lol i remember your last rant in FGW

NRS had to get their shit together they were too huge and the noise about their trashy online was simply too big
I don't think Capcom cares about anything seeing this past year. Been getting failed to send data for 10 months straight.
Tag 2 was great for me and if this new online for 7 has issues due to being early release and will smooth out later i'm cool
I'm just a lobby monster tho and don't see these rank issues but i don't doubt them

Find King Jae on youtube. He has an ok set of tutorials for newbs. I learned a few things from watching.

Back back downback, repeat is how to dash backwards hella fast.

Whew. Been kinda under the weather this weekend (who gets a bug in summer, wtf) so I haven't done much beyond some lazy treasure mode. Just hopped on to try a few player matches on PS4, and I actually got a match quickly and it went right in with no trouble. Was also pleased to see that revenge match doesn't seem to have a cap like it apparently does in ranked, so I got to play a few rounds back to back. Went 2-2 and now it's break time. Shit's intense.

Question though -- is there not a replay system in this? I'm not having any luck digging through the menu.

Tekken 7 DLC files datamined (from reddit)

Both DLC characters have some placeholder files in the game

The first character has some sort of meter system like Eliza and Akuma (SF guest again?)

Swimsuits, Idolmaster cosplay, and school uniforms will be DLC (despite all already being in the arcade version)

Tekken Bowl is the $10 DLC game mode

All of the PS4's exclusive content is still in the data, hinting at either timed exclusivity or eventual DLC

Not SF
Maybe KOF. Harada likes Geese

If that turns out to be true, Namco can take their season pass and stuff it.

Never in my life did I think Tekken Bowl was coming back, holy shit.

Just got embarrassed by a one move over and over King. I need to work on my defense. I tense up in lobbies and private matches compared to quick match.

Kiryu with heat meter, projectiles are things he throws at you, believe. Or Geese.

Dammit. I was doing so much Treasure Battle grinding because I thought the swimsuits were unlockable. =/

There's a couple of swimsuits available. Lili for example has a top and bottom you can unlock but some characters only have a top. You get Eliza's swimsuit automatically.

Wait, they took out the DLC from the arcade version and then put it back in to charge people?

People seem to be glancing over that. Didn't they claim, back when the season pass was announced, that they hadn't even started working on the DLC?

Like I said, if this is true, then Namco can go screw themselves. This practice is pathetic.

TEKKEN BOWL

FUCK YES
Nah, that shouldn't be the extra mode as part of a season pass.

Unless it's part of a free update.

Edit: Oh it actually says it's part of dlc LOL. I called it and was told "Harada/Murray said it wouldn't be something that's been in Tekken before"

*cringe
