I just saw the movie and im about to go to sleep but i need to know something: why does peter need vials of web stuff ? Can't he just shoot it out of himself?

What does the last sentence in the movie mean: If I would know spiderman name, you would be already dead?
What does that mean ?

He doesn't shoot webs out of himself traditionally.

Web shooters are usually mechanical in the comics.

Raimi's movies had organic ones, while Webb's and now Watt's movies use the mechanical ones. Peter in both ASM and SMH can't naturally shoot web from their hands.

As for your first question, no, spider-man cannot shoot webs himself. Normally in most media, Peter invented the web shooters himself to go along with his spider powers/motif. In the previous Raimi films it was changed so that it came out of him, but now in this series it's back to being an invention.

Secondly, the Vulture was doing Spider-man a favor. Since Spider-man saved him (and his daughter), he decided to lie and pretend that he did not know who Spider-man was. He was acting tough, but in reality he didn't want to reveal Spider-man's secret.

What's Scorpion gonna do with that information? Travel 3,000 miles to Oregon and kidnap his family?

Toomes family was in the same prison as the Scorpion in the end, they visited him.
Its more that Adrian knows who Spider-Man is and Scorpion could threat his Family to get to this information

Way I prefer it TBH.

Like, I can understand the argument for organic webshooters, and I don't even hate them like many do, but even so, when when the mechanical webshooters made a return in the Webb films, I was happy about that change.

Granted, TAS on Fox Kids was my bread/butter growing up, and TAS used mechanical webshooters, so I come from that perspective on my Spidey fandom.

That they pulled off this scene to a tee was magnificent

IT'S MAHVEL BAYBEE!!

I've never felt so happy to being trolled, and by Captain America no less.

So fucking good.... like literally can't even be mad because what a punchline for a great running joke.

This is the first Spider-Man movie that really felt like the comics come to life

Also best usage of the out of web fluid sequence.... That's why mechanical shooters and chemistry made fluid is best

Just saw it. Really good. Laughed a lot.

What surprised me the most was how integral this movie felt as connective tissue for the MCU.

The Vulture-is-Liz's dad twist blinsided me yet felt absolutely necessary to pulling off the plot. It really humanized the villian in a way that most of these super hero movies fail to do.

Another thing I really enjoyed was the reveal that Michelle is MJ and the spin of having her be the one with the obsessive crush while acting aloof.

God damn it i missed the 2nd end credits scene, tho.

What does that even mean in this context...

It means you have a movie where Tom Holland is great from start to finish and Michael Keaton is one of the best Marvel villains yet but apparently some character sat at a desk who says a couple of sarcastic lines stole the movie from them....

If they didn't add her name was MJ right at the end I doubt most people would have given the character a second thought. And for the record I have no clue who the actress is or what was said about her before hand, I'm just going off what I saw on screen.

What it means is I really enjoyed her character.

But lol at getting this upset because of a turn of phrase. Like you're acting like I'm now shitting on Holland who I literally called the best Spider-Man and Keaton who I haven't spoken yet ut yes also agree that he was one of the best Marvel villains. Glad they kept him alive.

I'd never seen the actress before this movie either and I loved her before she was MJ, her being MJ was just the cherry on top.

Except no, I was laughing my ass off before the reveal, so yes, I did care about the character regardless of whether she'd get the obvious confirmation of her being this universe's take on MJ.

But yes, please get so hot and bothered by that phrase, despite it just meaning that she liked Michelle.

Didn't know that Zendaya girl before and think she had 1-2 funny scenes, nothing more. Danny Glover stuck more in my head than her.

Seems like she is a big deal with others. (She looks older and way different when i look at the google picture search)
