I think if, come 2018 and 2020, republicans--especially Trump--remain in power, then there really isn't any hope left. At that point they get to redraw district lines, continue voting suppression, stack the supreme court even more, and pass god knows what else.

I'm not sure what much else could be done outside of revolution [if republicans keep control in 2018 & 2020]. These next 3 years are going to be extremely scary.

Yah: sadly it has been my experience bigots and racists just love to try and make their kids even more bigoted and racist than they are and as proud when they embrace their ideals.

Real shame as of course the kid starts out innocent then gets programmed accordingly.

Many of these people are wimps who are not expecting much, if any physical backlash, they are expecting to feel powerful as a group. Sometimes this is all it takes terrify them. Problem is as they gain more and more people it's going to be harder to shake their sense of security. The longer people protest passively the stronger they get. A sign saying I hate you means little when the president is telling you he loves you and they've publicly admitted that.

It is indeed the sad and undeniable truth that my list was far from complete. I was taught about the post-war dealings of Wernher von Braun as a young lad when my parents took me to Camp Mittelbau-Dora on an educational trip.

I will never forget the feeling when I realised that this Nazi war criminal was rewarded for his work, his smug face smiling down at me from one of the portraits.

So do exactly what was done here. The problem has been folks defining non-violence as passivity. It's not.

I think this is specifically discussing the incident in the OP but mods made it clear general discussion about violence and nazis is off limits now so it's probably best to leave it at that.

I think a lot people have very loose definitions on what it means, but yeah, I just woke up so I hadn't seen the mods mention that. Sorry for bringing it up again.

A Nazi terrorist just killed someone and injured many others and we have people on both sides of the 2016 primary trying to relitigate it in this topic. That's the kind of tactic that worked so well for all involved in Germany.

+1 to this, I'm all for free speech but if the wider people don't agree with it then you're going to have to accept that, after the side you're on killed innocent people you're going to get dropped in a huge pile of shit and deservedly so.

These people are scumbags, and videos/things like this should be published even more to show that it is unacceptable and if you hold these beliefs the majority won't accept you.
