Best case? Just want a case to protect the back and the screen, don't give one lick about being able to stand it up.

I just use a Smart Cover and a ColcaSac. Though the ColcaSac might be slightly too tight for the new iPad. The back of the iPad is mich more scratch proof than you might think.

Apple is selling a tablet with an amazing screen, large amount of ram and HD space, fast cpu, camera etc etc for 499.99. Meanwhile Wacom is charging 1,000 for this

and 2,000 for a 21 inch monitor with horrible resolution. God i wish Apple make something that a proffesional artist can use without having to fucking finger paint.

The Toblino 2 case for the ipad 2 was a thing of beauty. Really high quality, offered a ton a viewing angles, and protected both sides of the ipad2. I just hope the case is released before my ipad 3 arrives.

Which is not a bad deal at all when you think about it. I only wish I could do this with my cell phone. Ends up costing me about $300/year to "upgrade" my cell phone.

We're just going to have to settle with the Galaxy Note 10.1 until some windows 8 tablet comes out with a wacom digitzer.

Just realized how awesome it will be playing back recorded 1080P video at that resolution. Or 1080P videos from iPhone. I know some of them probably record it, but no tablet displays have hit 1080P yet have they?

The Asus Infinity is 1920x1200. It's releasing later though.

Placed an order for mine on the Japan Apple website this morning. Email confirmation received right as soon as I hit the place order button. Will be delivered on the 16th and paid for with COD. I didn't know they did COD for Apple website purchases here. I should have figured they did though since most every other online retailer here does. Wish I knew last year. Though last year we ended up having to wait a few extra months thanks to a mega quake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. Hopefully another won't hit this year!

Black 64GB wi-fi. Bit sad there's no 128GB version (next year...). I'm always having to delete stuff off my 64GB iPad2. Can't wait for the new display. I have a collection of pdf ebooks and comics that are going to look incredible now and no need for zooming to read them!

Just realized if it's taking 6-8 weeks for these manufacturers to make ipad 3 cases (such as the Grove), I might just order an ipad 2 smartcover off ebay to hold me off, until the 3rd parties can catch up. For the ASUS Transformer Prime it took about 2 months before decent cases to come out, and when they came they were not even that good (nothing on the level of the Toblino 2 case).

I assume it will be different with Apple as they have more support from 3rd parties but I still don't want my ipad naked for weeks.

I'm buying two, one for me and the other for my brother. I can't decide if I should be going for the 16GB or the 32GB. I don't watch videos on it. I have iPad 2 16GB right now and I think I've used about 70% of the space in the past year or so...

However now that the sizes for the apps increases due to higher resolutions, I am rethinking.

I went with 32gb because of apps especially now its retina.
I was deleting apps on my iPad 2 even though I don't have music or movies

I just bought the 16gb black! And it's my birthday as of midnight! Super excited, mostly going to use this for browsing, work notes/email and Netflix.

iPad 16GB Black Wifi ordered! My order status has instantly changed to "Dispatched" though, so I can't cancel. Not that I want to, but that's a bit strange, there's no way it would have dispatched within 10 seconds!

I also didn't get an email, but my order does show up on the site. Should I have got an email?

Ordered my 32gb wifi in white and am currently considering this case by Switcheasy:

Are there any good slip cases? Something with a fabric interior.

I'm currently rocking my iPhone raw, but in a velvet slip pouch. The iPad feels amazing in the hand so I don't want to uglify it with a horrible thick case that's permanently on

I am a huge fan of Proporta cases, I use one of their 'maya' cases for my iPhone and currently considering one for the iPad.

I'm at 80% battery after 2 hours of usage on my 4S.

Might be a bit too early to tell but it seems 5.1 has helped.

After watching the keynote I'm convinced that Apple think "retina" is the future and will transition all it's devices when possible to hi DPI.

I think the new actual Apple TV will wait till panels are available for retina quality at the recommended distance from the viewer. Anyone want to hazard a guess at the set viewing distance for a 40 / 50" tv and what resolution it would require to qualify?

Aren't 1080p TVs already retina from regular viewing distances? There was a good chart showing various devices and how close they are to retina from recommended viewing distances, some other Apple devices are already there.

I'm not positive, but I assume any weirdness will work itself out. I have never seen the Apple online store in such bad shape. Today was absolutely unprecedented.

The same thing with me. I don't think there is a problem though. Well this is my first time ordering from Apple store.

Hmmmm so after I managed to order one last night on the UK Apple store, where it went to the 'oops' page many times during 'processing', I woke up this morning to find two confirmation emails, with two separate order numbers.

So now I'm wondering... should I cancel one... or just let both of them arrive...

Two reasons:

1) I had a problem with three iPad 2s for backlight bleed, so I have two chances for it to be right...

2) They're in high demand so... I might be able to sell one on without any loss... maybe even a profit?
