New news new thread, get with the program you lazy bums!
Thanks to SolidSnakex for the info-

Kiryu Taxi-
Your goal in the Race Battle is to avoid other cars and construction areas and get to the goal first. You'll be able to customize your taxi, adding tires, turbos, wheels, body decals, and other items. While driving, you can drift and make use of special moves like "Explosive Race Heat Action" and "Secret Explosive Acceleration."

Outside of the Race Battle, you'll also be able to drive passengers to and from their destination. Famitsu shows Kiryu in conversation with his passengers.

Saejima Hunting-
Saejima's Another Drama is described as "hunting survival." Equipped with a hunting gun, you'll need to use stealth to approach and catch beasts. You'll also be able to make use of traps to catch your prey.

Haruka-
You'll need to help Haruka out in her live performances by playing a rhythm game. This involves tapping circle, triangle, square and X buttons as they move across a cursor. Different from the Hatsune Miku series, the cursor stays in one position. Sokuho says that it looks more like the rhythm-based games in Dream Club.

Outside of the rhythm game, you'll need to take part in hand shake meetings, where you use the d-pad to determine Haruka's reaction. You'll also take part in simple quiz programs, respond to magazine interviews, and make talk show appearances. These will contribute to Haruka's idol knowledge.

Shinda Baseballin'
This, of course, is played like a batting mini game. As you bat, you'll learn skills, gaining the ability to make the ball slow down for instance. Shinada will also meet his former coach and will be able to strengthen his skills even further.

Bring that shit Sega. They should do kickstarters for their games, honestly. Secure a targeted number of preorders and they begin the localization process.

As a recent Yakuza player (played Yakuza 4 earlier this year), this new one is sounding so awesome.

Now I know how it feels to sit back and wish for a game to be localized. :(

I was thinking stealth-approach wrestling moves + deer, but close enough. They have to top Kiryu punching out tigers, and I believe they are crazy enough to go there.

Oh that's what I want to see Saejima do too, it'd be friggin' awesome X3

Crazy. Taxi sounds fun.

Please be optional. Please be optional. Please be optional.

Holy fuck at that Haruka game. lol

Also, I guess we should stop calling this Yakuza because it's never coming here. :p

This game keeps looking better and better. I really wonder how this team is able to design games with such a ridiculous amount of content in such a short time span.

Quick random somewhat off-topic question... is it worth jumping into Yakuza 4 if you have little/no experience with the series? I've played the first one but didn't get around to grabbing the second one, then I didn't bother with the PS3 games because I missed out on 2.

There are recap videos that you can watch, but as one of the few defenders of Yakuza 3 on GAF, I think you should consider playing that one first. Sunshine Orphanage/Okinawa is still one of my highlights of the series (if you're not going to play 2 anyway).

How certain are we that this will not be released in the US?
Maybe it'll be announced alongside VC3 HD for Vita.

play them all if you can. while all sequels include recaps, they leave out so many cool moments. if you can't, Y4 is fine...i.guess

It's the series Tony Hawk 4. It's not worth playing unless Yakuza appeals to you primarily because you're a weaboo.

Hopefully Yakuza 5 adds back some of the substance to the gameplay and boss battles.
