Sven apparently used the words "cautiously optimistic" during the stream. There's a link to a recorded version of the chat here (it's the first question asked), but I can't get the video to work. :/"We're still considering it" is basically an easy way of not doing anything while keeping the fans off their back.

I'm already seeing AAI2 being a preorder bonus for AA5 in the States and Europe, only at selected stores.
Perhaps they could release it as DD for the 3DS, with this new Nintendo Network stuff coming it could be a higher profile release for the eshop.
$60 LE I could see maybe, but pre-order bonus? lolzI'm already seeing AAI2 being a preorder bonus for AA5 in the States and Europe, only at selected stores.

This. Ace Attorney is probably my favorite game series ever, but I'm not really willing to support Capcom anymore at this point.Localize Ace Detective Miles Edgeworth 2 first !!!
Even though a retail release would be my ideal, any sort of 3DS release would be great. We just can't be skipping games in this series, it'll only be detrimental to the series and the fan base.
Vita+3DS would be a totally reasonable expectation for AA5, no?
Also, 1-3 will be right at home on iOS.
Ace Attorney never was on PSP why would this be a reasonable expectation then ?

No it doesn't. The lines are thinker and the coloring is different so it just looks like they traced the old sprites in photoshop.
Also they were all originally hand drawn and have those assets readily available. They've used it for some of the japanese promos.
Badly compressed image but it gets the idea across:
The whole touchscreen thing isn't really a good argument considering the original games were for GBA. You can still play the DS versions without ever using the touchscreen.
This iOS trend is making me mad.
Touch screen.
There was never a Xbox Devil May Cry 1-3 (until the HD collection was announced) yet a 360 version of DMC4 came.
Basically, if it comes to the 3DS exclusively or not, I won't be surprised by neither way. If it comes the Vita or iOS exclusively however, then I'll definitely be surprised.

Anyway the blue logo in the AA5 title is making me think of phoenix *swoon*
Why? The games would play perfectly on any iOS system.
Why? The games would play perfectly on any iOS system.
Because I don't have the money to get an iOS device and I would kill to replay those games in HD
Then I suppose nobody should put games on any systems you can't get/don't have.
I wouldn't make such a fuss about it if the said systems were actually real consoles with other games that interest me.
anyone with a japanese itunes account wanna check this out for me?

Apparently it has a demo for phoenix wright 1, and it does seem to have hdfied visuals, so it should be a good estimate of the actual game.
Maybe take a quick cellphone video as well ;P
It's still using the original artwork anyway, it's just using the more common art style because all the poses are available this way.ah, I see. It probably would require a bit more work then they would like... Still it does look better than that ios megaman X.
Wonder if this would include case 5 from 1.
Aha, I don't think they'll go that far. I'd love for AAI2 to come out here, though (and I'd prefer it to come out here first; and I don't take much stock in a single thing Sven says anymore). The localizations are generally very good, so I prefer playing the English versions of those games.I'm already seeing AAI2 being a preorder bonus for AA5 in the States and Europe, only at selected stores.
I guess I hope he is, since I doubt he's working on another Ghost Trick. Most important question is: Who's writing the story and script. If Shu Takumi isn't involved, that dampens my hype a lot. After all, Capcom is responsible for forcing Phoenix into AA4 as much as he was from what I read.
I really hope we see more chances for Apollo to shine. I can also see a game were you both play him and Phoenix I guess.
I'm sure that if Takumi is in charge the protagonist will be a totally new character which would be awesome.
