well..
This thread is a riot.
I used to beat the "reviewer played it wrong" drum and there's still a few I'd fight to the death about today (IGN God Hand), but this is embarassing.
well..
Anti-consumer among whiney circles of gamers means 'anything I don't like or don't wanna pay for.'
I would argue that Destiny walling off MP maps and modes that you already own because you don't own the next expansion is anti-consumer
No, just... noThose clips are Polygon-tier, wtf Joe?
Holy shit at some of the vicious posts in this thread. People just disparaging his opinion cause he didn't finish the raid or put in ___ amount of hours into the game.
Now I can understand why Shinobi left GAF. It's just the reverse happening here.

?Can't stand Angry baby Joe and his ugly leather jacket. I review you angry Joe and I you deserve a 5
Real shitpeople really do have a hard time with opinions, huh?
Real shit
"Yeah its his opinion
But its wrong!"

Why do I have to read immature shit like this on GAF, for example (just the latest post I'm seeing, incidentally) ...
?
Are you 12 and frustrated?

Joe is mainly frustrated because of how promising the Destiny series is, and how he feels that he's been letdown for a second time now. Towards the end of the video (which I'm assuming most people didn't watch), he actually praises the PvP and says it's a lot better than the first game. If Joe wasn't actually invested in the game, then I'm not sure he would have forced himself to play 40+ hours of it and discuss it so passionately.
Damn, I wish Bungie would start using the Kingdom Hearts numbering system. That would be awesome.

my post was directly related to his opinion on the raid, and now after it's come out that he hasn't even played it, it's even more appropriate. there's nothing wrong with not having finished the raid, or not enjoying the raid, but to not even have tried it and still try to rake it over the coals is a bit ridiculous. again, i can completely understand not liking something or finding it tedious or repetitive but to put forward that opinion without trying it is just mind boggling.

it's funny seeing people hide behind the opinion word when claiming someone else's opinion is wrong
"it's my opinion that his opinion is wrong! are you saying my opinion is wrong???"

An opinion can't be "wrong". You can disagree with someone elses subjective opinion, but that doesn't make you right and them wrong and arguing otherwise is ridiculous.Just because its an opinion doesn't mean you need to agree with it... his opinion on destiny 2 is a 6 , whereas others might think thats "wrong" and it should be higher such as an 8.
Are you Joe's number one fan? The thread it's about him and the score not about what you think about my post move onYeah, it's disappointing. Certain kind of games really bring out the worst of this forum.

Wait, you're not going to debate, refute, or counter-point me with sound logic?Alrighty then. I think I've seen enough.
Oh... yeah you're probably better off notMillions voted for Trump too. Humans go against their self-interests quite often.
He makes a lot of good points.
I think of it this way. I liked Destiny and it has enough to make me want to keep playing. But it has tons of flaws which could easily be fixed. I'd give it a 7 and it would be my GOTY only because it's the one game I'm playing this year.

If you disagree you disagree, that's fine. But no one is wrong for not liking something as much as you and that's literally what this boils down to, complaining about someone else not liking something as much as you did.
I can only dream about so passionate defence force when next KillZone will comes out lol
I think you're taking the word "wrong" too seriously. A score can be "wrong" in someones eyes if they see the game differently. It doesn't mean Joe's review of the game is "wrong" it means that the person finds the final score "wrong". Either way, I never said the word wrong. This whole thing started a couple pages back when people quoted a post that said they found the final score "wrong".

People like you shouldn't be on GAF. I'll leave it at that. Are you Joe's number one fan? The thread it's about him and the score not about what you think about my post move on

It's always amazing people that have an issue discussing things when something is posted to a discussion forum. Are we all supposed to say "yep, I agree" repeatedly, or what's the point of there being a topic about it?It's always amazing how people get so rowdy when a popular YT gives a game polarizing review they don't agree with. I mean who gives a shit if you enjoy it? It's not like it's going to stop you and the other people who enjoy it to stop playing it because he said 'he' didn't like it.
That's not his score being wrong, that's the individual's score being different.
Stop using "wrong," it's not the correct word to use. By definition an opinion (which includes an arbitrary score) cannot be "wrong."
I think Killzone Shadowfall made even the most diehard Killzone fans realize that missteps can happen.
Also it's odd for people to be saying "but what about the raid!" when the raids are a tiny chunk of great content compared to everything else. The argument should be why everything else isn't as well designed as the raids.
Wait...why are people saying he hasn't even touched the raid when he did? But because he thought it was so poorly designed he refused to push on. He only did one portion, right? I dont play destiny, so I'm genuinely curious how it works.
It'll never cease to amaze me how bent out of shape people get over another persons opinion on their oh so beloved franchise!
Then write your own review, what's so hard to understand? Its not your content based on your opinion. Its his, christ. It is the correct word to use though.
Once again it all started with a user posting:
"That doesn't change the fact that I think a 6 is straight up wrong. Personally I'd give the game an 8"
That guy thought a 6 is straight up wrong and I agree with him. Its his opinion and he thinks the final score is wrong and would personally rate it higher. Whats so hard to understand?
Bungie/Activision PR and Marketing did good, they created such hardcore fans for their games
Can't stand Angry baby Joe and his ugly leather jacket. I review you angry Joe and I you deserve a 5

This is a discussion thread; not everyone has to agree with the final score. Please get that through your head, thanks!
