Which is funny considering the venom directed toward companies in general for not being more honest/candid about announcements. This seems like the studio behind a game being pretty candid. I sort of like it.
Sure, I can see what you mean by that. However, if the PR strategy is to be honest, and being honest means admitting things like, "Yeah, the frame rate is probably going to be all over the place, but we're hoping to hit 30fps," or "Yeah, we won't be in 1080p either," I think that's a pretty bad plan for selling the game. Maybe I come out of it thinking, "Those folks seem like nice people," but my ultimate conclusion is going to be, "I'm not going to buy that game." It seems like a bad PR strategy.
So I'm only commented on the PR under the assumption that they still want the game to sound good, and that the comments definitely don't convey that.
