With Yemma and King Kai, he wanted to train under them since he knew they were stronger than him, so why would he want to fight them?
So what, he wanted to fight with Roshi too. Roshi is the one that didn't want to ...
And since when has the knowledge of the opponent being stronger ever stopped Goku ?
I have seen all the series, and Goku isn't that much different from before, although Toei do play up his childishness for comedy, just like they did in that driving episode that fans seems to love.
His actions are not the problem. I'd agree his actions are pretty much the same as usual.
His overall behavior is. He wasn't like that even as a child. His portrayal has changed a lot.
Toriyama helped write Battle of Gods and he had him picked a fight with Beerus.
Yeah but it worked fine in Battle of Gods.
It had been years since Buu, Goku didn't have a proper adversary in forever. That was representing our excitement for new dragon ball stories, Goku was getting a new enemy to fight and couldn't wait to face him !
It works. The problem is that, making this Goku's new personality when he is fighting powerful people regularly, makes it tiresome.
In both the anime and the extra in the Super manga, he picked a fight with Monaka so it was most likely in Toriyama's notes.
Yeah except he did not. In the manga he only said he wanted to fight Monaka, and Beerus refused.
In Super he insisted several times, he hit Monaka, OK. What I don't accept is how he dragged a crying Monaka that clearly refused to fight him, and Goku gave no shit. Thus why I called him a bully.
Just like Zamasu refused to fight him, and Goku kept insisting until people lost patience and just agreed. This is insufferable to watch, for me.
He never tried to fight Zen-O, so I am not sure where you're getting that from. He only wanted to shake his hand. He also never tried to fight the Grant Priest, only saying that he felt a lot of power from him.
Because he was being heavily controlled by the other Gods to force him not to mess up. He totally would have done so otherwise.
No, he isn't hyper all the time. He's more hyper than in Z, where crap was happening everyone five minutes, but he isn't hyper 24/7.
He is hyper 90% of the time in Super though.
And he wasn't hyper in Dragon Ball where shit didn't happen for long period of times. I'm rereading the first books right now actually, and I'm loving it. Goku is patient and tolerant most of the time. He's cute and naive.
That's not what I'm seeing in Super. So I disagree that he is like his child counterpart.
I don't agree with those who say Goku is more stupid in Super
I never said he was more stupid in Super.
I said his depiction is different. And that he was hyper and impatient. I didn't say he was more stupid. I said his actions were pretty much equal to himself.
His actions and his portrayal are two different things.
, and it's my right to voice my opinion. Just like you have no problem voicing yours. And why would I care if many people disagree or agree with me?
Well if you don't care about us why should we care about you ? It's a forum, it's a discussion.
But we state our opinion accepting that other people can disagree, whenever it is subjective, if it has to do with objective matter, you have to be prepared to reconsider things.
If you see that a huge chunk of people have a different opinion, the least you can do is understand why. That doesn't mean your opinion has to change, but it would be a more educated one.
Trying to see the two sides of an argument, there might be good points in both.
