Hey Brad. The New 3DS (non XL) coming to the US does have removable backplates as well as frontplates. So, you can remove the Animal Crossing design if you so wish.

i tried to watch their pax panel and it was unbearable. people constantly scream things out from the audience, the mic lvls being inconsistent. same reasons i generally avoid those types of things.

I'm shocked Dan hasn't gotten to play MGSV yet. I figured he would have gotten the review copy, but I guess Brad pulled rank on him. He did review 4 on the site so it makes sense he would want to review 5.

I'm like 5 hours into MGSV and I've seen like. Four cutscenes. And I'm doing all the side ops. I have no idea what Brad is talking about.

Just saw him, he has the miles teller face. Also the show names their episodes with numbers and shit like a computer

70% of each episode is incredible, and then the scenes with Slater and his rag tag group of hackers come on, and it feels so tonally off from the rest of the show. I absolutely despise his character (not slater, but his character) and how they're shoehorned in.

it's like each episode is this rough, sleek cyber drama that somehow manages to do the miraculous task of representing hacking in a somewhat realistic fashion. And then you meet up with Slater in his carnival hideout with all these caricatures, and it's just...ugh.

It's good enough to be worth watching but you're not missing that much. It's got a lot of clunky storylines and clumsy writing that I hope will be tightened up next season. And it spends a lot of time aping Fight Club and American Psycho without really adding anything new to those ideas. The hacking at least feels mostly authentic, as much as it can be and still be entertaining.

it is the BEST show of the summer. I'd put its overall quality right next to Hannibal/Mad Men/Breaking Bad easily.
