Lame

I'll stick with the class, though, currently at level 62 with my Guard and I like the general aesthetic of it with the light blue flames.

Retreat!+Staff 3 is it then, for now.

Guard has insane survivalbility with the passive Aegis blocks, Blindness, Virtues heal and that Focus passive that grant Protect on every Focus skill usage.

I think regarding movement speed it doesnt help that Norns feel slow already or is it me?

I love the Viking-esque aesthetic of the race, though.

Honestly this is something that could be fixed with mounts, I mean I know the zones arent huge but it would be nice.

While Engineer does have a passive speed buff it's only available via trait(spec) and if your build doesn't use the spec line, you are screwed, my current Engineer build doesn't use the passive speed buff trait, and i only have ONE UTILITY SKILL granting speed, so currently i worse than Guardian..

I've yet to do any of the dungeons in the game. I dont want to do them with pugs, if any gaffer is willing to do them I'm interested.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe

you can also use the triait that gives swiftness when you equip a kit, simply stow away the kit then equip it again.

Living World Season Finale- “One Path Ends”

Balthazar has disappeared again, and it’s top priority to find him—especially if what he’s planning could bring disaster to Tyria. And if one thing’s for sure, it’s that he’s gearing up for something big. He’s already managed to collect magical power from a bloodstone, and now he’s set his sights on an Elder Dragon. With Taimi’s device broken, you’re on your own—for now.

New Legendary Sword
A new legendary weapon is now available. Speak to Grandmaster Craftsman Hobbs in Lion’s Arch to learn how to craft the new sword precursor, Save the Queen, and forge the new legendary sword.

New Legendary Hammer
A new legendary weapon is now available. Speak to Grandmaster Craftsman Hobbs in Lion’s Arch to learn how to craft the new hammer precursor, Might of Arah, and forge the new legendary hammer.

New rewards are available from BLING-9009 in the Mistlock Observatory.
The continued perseverance of adventurers has again caught the eye of the Harbinger.

Molten Boss

Falling from the platform during the battle against the Molten Berserker and Molten Firestorm will now result in death.

Nightmare
Fixed a bug in which completing the fractal would not award some daily achievement progress.
The Nightmare fractal is now accessible at scales 24, 49, 74, and 99, replacing the fractals previously at those scales.

Mistlock Instabilities

Adrenaline Rush now permanently enrages enemies and applies a 150% damage increase instead of a 200% damage increase.

I need to find time to get back into this and buy the expansion. Might make more sense to just wait for the next one though to get everything in one neat package. I have 4 lvl 70 duders and like 400 hours in vanilla. My computer just isn't fast enough anymore to consistently get a good frame rate.

Is there any way to quit an episode? I must have re-started one of the LS2 episodes a while back, and now it seems like I'll have to replay it to remove the "Continue this story" prompt. Not a big deal, but I was wondering if there were any alternatives.

You should be able to do that in your story journal. Pick the chapter that is active and you can quit it via the same button that would reactivate it.

Some of the concept art in this episode is great. I don' t see it on the website yet though.

Edit: One of the items on the new map is a bucket to put portal scrolls into:

Yeah, my issue (it's not an actual issue at all, to be clear) is that it leaves a "Continue your story" under Living Story Season 2. I was wondering if I could remove that somehow without replaying the whole episode.

Yeah there's a backpack like that for each god. They all have different forms.

I think you can just ignore that. LWS3 should also have that when it's not active.

Can the new map at least have a WP in the back areas?<.<

Dwayna's backpiece is the best I have seen so far and I like the place where you get it.

Story was fun, but I have a MASSIVE problem with it.

Being someone that hasn't played the original GW, and knowing what has been explained to me through the game, and from other sources, I just can't keep wondering how someone that has never played the original and that only received information about the story/lore by playing the game casually is supposed to know anything about what's actually happening in this story.
(Short story, if not for WoodenPotatoes videos I wouldn't have understood half of what happened and it would have fallen completely flat ...)

It really feels like they have their heads a little too deep in fan-service these days ...

It has at every 'location' but you have to unlock them through a specific thing.

Ooooh the thing is at the unbound vendor right?

Enjoyed the new story. Feels like a tad bit of a non sequitur, definitely not what I expected, but it was good.
Always appreciate more GW1-related stuff.

New zone and the actual instances for the story were... not my favourite, however. Probably the weakest of the season, imo.

The hammer's the better one, imo, since it has a ton of lore to it. It represents the majesty and corruption of Orr in a single item.

The sword is just another weird robo-item and pales in comparison to the almighty Bolt!

I think I am seriously tempted of making a 2nd gen legendary now lol. Both Sharur and Shining Blade are so cool looking, but I would probably just make Sharur.:p I really love the the idea of it (and do like the daytime version alongside the night version), and the design is really nice.

The only reason why I didn't go after Bolt is that the blade clips the ground while in stored mode. But this 2nd gen legendary addresses that since it animates into a shorter blade while stored. <sigh> Another legendary "journey," wōöôõ

I don't need Gift of Exploration for the 2nd gens? Nice.

You still need map comp from the HoT maps..

Well think I will get general stuff for 2nd gen legendary done and maybe stock up a little of those chests of legendary shards least, before really deciding what I want. And yeah bonus points for Shining Blade for the more compact form when put away. I am not a fan of Bolt at all anyway through.

Whats the most efficient way to level crafting professions?

gw2crafts.net

if you use a crafting booster, you wont even need as much as it says on that site.

Basically gives you a recipe list of stuff you need, how much it will cost, and then you just make stuff in the order it says.

As a GW1 player, gotta say I enjoyed wrapping up these loose ends.

Though some part of me would have loved to go through a redemption arc for spoiler name:
Lazarus or the Mursat in general
but being as they are evil, selfish asshats, its probably not tenable.

Also loved the lore on the Shining Blade. Shine on you crazy
Seers
.

Side lore thing from GW1: Some spoilers will follow!

With
Livia
in this episode, and Ogden in previous and even Jora's statue, MOX, Zhinn, and so on, its a bit weird that the human ascended has never showed up or so much as been mentioned. I wonder if this is because bringing them back in any capacity would require them to effectively be game breaking by the standards of GW2's power curve? In GW2 the PC has to use technology or devices, the PC of GW1 was a god-slaying, rift walking, mist destroying/conquering hooligan who stole power from the mightiest of champions and slayed an Envoy, multiple Gods, God-imbued servant, a God-army, Treegod, Sea Deamon, and god knows what else I am forgetting. (Also due to the being ascended part, I believe the GW1 Chosen is effectively immortal as well in some capacity.)

Like in this episode,
Lazarus
is actually a challenge. In GW1 you curb stomp the shit out of hundreds of the species to the point of extinction. We're clearly not as powerful as the ascended human was in GW1 (we also not being ascended is likely a contributing factor) but it remains weird to me that they go by nearly completely unmentioned in the lore despite the fact that we (the PC) basically bent the world to its knee in GW1 and a ton of old characters have shown up.

The GW1 character seems to have basically disappeared from the face of the earth post EotN.

Would this be a good time to get into GW2? Getting a new PC, which was the only thing keeping me away before but I've heard complaints about the game changing for the worse and Apparently removing a lot of what was unique about it in the first place. Opinions?
Edit: that new expansion does not sound too great :/

is anyone having connection error when trying to download the update? I have tried stuff like changing dns and using different ips in the game shortcut, still get connection errors.

Enjoyed the JP for the new map. Was generally straight forward and not too hard, but still quite thrilling as you get pretty damn high.:p The end at the very top pretty cool and there is a dive master spot.

Core game is F2P with some restrictions so you could try it and see if you like it enough to buy.
