I mean you obviously don't have to use action camera at all, if it isn't beneficial for you. In theory just fudging mouselook by using a script to permanently hold doing the RMB still works. But if you can't get autohokey to do what you want with the mouse then I'm not sure. If it's just that it positions the cursor somewhere other than you want, but is still able to reset the cursor in the first place, I'm sure it can be modified.

edit: In rereading my old posts about this, I realize I was never able to get AutoHotKey working properly with Windows 8, let alone 10, and Action Cam was what basically saved me in order to still be able to play GW2 with a pad at all after upgrading. So I have no idea about the best solution to the way you use cursor aiming. :(

In the new iteration here Cursor Mode is also back to being a "hold"- I'm not sure if this makes it more or less annoying to use for you. In playing around with it I know what you mean about the cursor not resetting if you're going to aim like that frequently. You can manually "drop off" the cursor back in the position you want it after you cast the skill, which is not an ideal solution at all but might help you.

Thanks for looking into it. I managed to get it working by moving the Mousemove code from the end of the script to the beginning, as part of the trigger when F7 is pressed. I guess something near the middle or end of the script falls apart in Windows 10.

Working perfectly now - I can once again cast phantasms against enemies I'm not directly looking at.

What can Firebrand do with Tomes? Is it going to be like with Virtues?



To me, Spellbreaker seems really interesting. As a anti-mage this is a game changer in the game.
But I am still the most excited about Weaver. And I say this as someone who has never been interested in Elementalist.


Reaper and Daredevil are two of my favorite professions, and I had no prior interest in Thief or Necro prior. They to me, where the star elite professions of the last expansion along with Druid.

But I still understand that Druid was not what all Rangers wanted. I just think Druid is really cool thematically, and I am not sure if Soulbeast can live up to that. The idea is great, but I just see a green glow effect, and not a strong fantasy or lore behind it. The idea about getting rid of the Pet is a great idea for a Ranger class though!

So between now and the new expansion what would be the best use of my time?

I used two of my 80 boosts to get an 80 guardian, and an 80 revenant. I already have an 80 necro that I am slowly unlocking reaper on. Necro was the class I played before HoT dropped and I lost interest. (Spoiler: I don't like the HoT maps). So I guess the question is.. should I suffer in the HoT maps to get the hero points or should I run these characters through the vanilla maps to get the hero points instead?

Tomes are kits that you can equip. People have detailed all of the new skills the tomes give you.

The healing tome's auto attack does 700 healing with a half second activation time. That seems like a fuck ton of healing. I don't know how long these tomes last or if there is ammo though. Bunker guardian back?

I contemplated Deluxe edition, but in the end i got Standard...Balthazar Mini is fucking tall...and those Elona skin don't translate well into GW2. most of them are FUGLY..

My Asuran ain't too happy about this Mini height lol..

I would go for group contents first (so HoT) as I'm guessing groups running it will be much rarer once the expansion hits.

We see golden version of the sunspear weapons in the trailer. I'm betting they're like the plated and machined weapons in hot. I'm saving it to hopefully get a head start a on the specialisation weapon I decide to get first.

i just bought heart of thorns yesterday, doing the HoT story, on step 13 - "buried insight"

and taimi is stuck!

i typed in "buried insight taimi" and stuck came up as the fourth word as an autocomplete option.

people have been reporting this bug for quite some time now: https://forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum/support/bugs/Buried-Insight-broken-Hot-Story/first

annoyed that i have to restart this level because of this longstanding bug they haven't bothered to fix. i would have expected such a bug at launch of the expansion, but not now, almost two years later. i'll try it again, hopefully taimi doesn't glitch out again

I got the elite specs done on five of my nine characters last night thanks to HP trains. 4 more to go and then I can relax and finish up some story mission.

One thing I hope Arenanet do in PoF is not lock off so many of the Hero points behind group content. It's not really fair for the basics and heaven help the people hitting HoT after PoF launches.

Does anyone know of a guild that teaches raids and doesn't require repping? I've been so inconsistent about my playtime that I've missed out on a lot of the end game PvE (didn't play when fractals were released, so i'm behind on that. Same for raids). I've raided in other games for years so i'm not worried about being awful at mechanics, that skillset transfers fairly well. Just need a group.

Ive played for around 3k hours but im not very good at the game combat wise, I usually just play pve and a bit of wvw. I really want to see the raids but it may be a bit frustrating for anyone on the same team as me lol.

That's awesome- so the mouse hook for AHK can at least work in Windows 10. That's really good to know. Could you send or link me the script somehow so I have an easy thing to toss anyone who runs into your issue?

As long as you're in NA, server literally has no impact for guild stuff. :) We're on Stormbluff Isle but it doesn't matter- choose the server you want to be a part of for WvW purposes. If you don't care, Stormbluff Isle is a perfectly respectable WvW server should you want to jump in, just not top tier.

I rebuilt him from the ground up with a total make over kit, he was a ugly rat with crappy hair lol, he was made day 1 along with my main character, i level both of them at the same time, i level my main with my friends, and when they weren't on because of different work schedules i level him..he's an Engineer about to turn 5, in 18 days..

I can do banners but of course if you want to or have some ideas, shoot them by me!

Edit: I mostly want to scope this out in the same ballpark as the FFXIV OT. Not too ornate or gaudy, but a decent amount of art, some nice banners, and links to useful places.

Urgh, I encountered somewhat a weird error in the game. I can get into the game with all my characters, except the one in Black Citadel. It stuck at loading screen.

I love pretty much all the concept art.

For being imo the most "boring" reveal (trying to sell a rifle class is going to be tough no matter what), the concept art for Deadeye is neat also.

Despite that, polling on reddit has Deadeye as the 2nd most anticipated elite spec, after weaver of course.

Soulbeast is the most poorly presented in my opinion. I've always wanted a petless ranger, but the reveal did a poor job explaining exactly what you get from it and why it's cool. You don't see any cool transformation or exciting abilities. The reveal was basically "Rangers are these guys with animal pets. And now you don't have one!" Despite that I'm still excited for it.

Honestly I felt that the presentation was kinda poor for more than one of the specializations. I'm still quite excited about them though, Soulbeast first, as the Ranger is my main.

I think with Soulbeast, it just looks like a green spell effect around you? What exactly is the idea behind it; lore, logic, thematic, purpose?

You know- Dervish was so cool because its shape shifting modes with being able to represent each of the gods, not only looked really cool, but there was also a logical explanation.

You have a Ranger whose theme is nature, and Druid fit that. But when I see the Soulbeast effect my mind is drawn towards Monster Energy, not an adventurer who channels nature.

So...finally trying to do Hearts and Minds mission on my second character...and after the first fight it just crashes.

It has happened twice in a row.

Anyone getting this issue?

Also going back in doesn't allow me to start from where it crashed...always resets.
