Nunes just told me he's never heard of Carter Page or Roger Stone. And he's in charge of the investigation?

This is getting more ridiculous by the minute

Haha saw a clip of nunes asking nsa guy about if he knew if votes were affected in certain states and him explaining they deal with foreign issues and nunes kept asking him about the states. Smh
Not sure if posted yet.
That was interesting - it actually makes me suspicious.

I certainly don't expect Trump to be impeached, but if he were I would hope it could break the confidence of the GOP voter base and force some serious introspection.Reading this thread, I feel like people need to keep expectations in check.
What if the investigation finds nothing to impeach Trump?
Even if Trump is impeached, how does Pence becoming President improve anything?
Nunes must be the sweatiest person in the world nowadays.
The twist is that he's the mole.
It is when you consider it your job to try and make Trump look as good as possible.WTF? Is this even possible?
Heck even said it in his speech - nothing that comes out of this will somehow make a Democrat President. The fact that Nunes and others are continually harping on the insane idea that Russia hacked voting machines means they are either fucking idiots, trying to deflect the actual investigation, or both.

He just found out through Comey at the hearing that lying to the press isn't a crime.WTF? Is this even possible?

Ugh...
I really really wish there was some kind of direct piece of irrefutable evidence that the Trump campaign colluded or cooperated with Russia. If something like that exists, I really hope it comes out. Short of that, I'm not sure we'll see any action. Even if it does, we probably won't see any action (which is depressing as hell), but at least it will taint Trump and his team for the rest of their time in office.
Pence instantly saves millions of dollars a year going to protecting Trump's horrible wife and mar a largo vacations and takes countless business interests out of the picture. Even if Pence were completely identical to Trump policy-wise it'd be a huuuuuuuuuuge win.

So Nunes probably has dirt on him related to this? Or its simply a case of party over country. But either way, the lady doth protest too much.

it's not like those dollars would go anywhere but miltar spending
Pence would be worse cause he'd not have the incompetence that Trump brings; executive orders would not be so easily challenged, there would be a better alignment between what the presidency wants and what the congress wants
it'd be a more efficient government, but you actually want the clumsy bad guys, not the efficient ones
The FBI may already have damning evidence. I doubt they'd come forward to this extent if they didn't. A proper investigation still needs to go through, though.Ugh...

I'll assume a non-trivial segment of the GOP is compromised in one way or another. So Nunes probably has dirt on him related to this? Or its simply a case of party over country. But either way, the lady doth protest too much.
Nunes went straight to Trump Tower when the first briefings were held.
He was also on transition team.

No, getting rid of Bannon and Miller is absolutely critical. Pence is nothing compared to an administration that includes those two, Bannon especially.

How hot does it have to get before people start seeking plea deals?
Trump is already tainted forever, and actionable evidence won't matter because the GOP controls congress. He could legitimately be impeached if the democrats take over in 2018, but I just want to urge people to keep expectations in check unless and until that happens. Remember, this is the GOP we're talking about.
Trump and his family too. That would clear a lot up, business ties and opportunists would be severed. I know it's a side issue to a degree but I can't stand them profiting from the Presidency. Still, you can agree it leaves them very open to manipulation etc.
If Trump is found guilty, how would impeachment even be on the table? Wouldn't he go right to jail? This is high treason. If he can't go to jail than that means the dude can legit murder people or do anything he wants because he has control of the government.
The president cannot be arrested or tried.
It does matter. If there is real proof they would absolutely have to impeach. There would be no choice at that point
So tried after possible impeachment or out of office?
The president cannot be arrested or tried.
Absolutely.
The president cannot be arrested or tried.

Exactly the GOP won't vote to impeach him. They aren't ethical.why not
you just saw them trying to evade the topic, what makes you think they will change this behavior just because there is actual evidence
why are you assuming the gop would behave ethically
why not

Pence is better by default because he isn't guilty of treason and is actually qualified to be president unlike Trump. A Pence presidency would be short and likely a disaster due to fallout. We're discussing a hypothetical that has never happened before: a president being removed from office due to treason. That's a disaster of epic proportions and the longer republicans aide Trump, the worse it'll be for them.
The entire country (minus the 30% or so of die hard Trumpers, but they're lost anyway) rallying against a traitorous president?
Also the pressure from European allies due to now having evidence.
The GOP will kick trump to the curb as soon as it's too hot and he isn't useful anymore.
After he is impeached does that change?
The president cannot be arrested or tried.
assuming the gop won't win in 2020, trump or not
which is a strong assumption

you guys need to start considering the possibility the gop will fix the next elections
Absolutely.

Straight from the Constitution (edit: okay, wikipedia technically). And impeachment doesn't do anything by itself except send the matter to the Senate for a trial for removal, which requires a 2/3 majority. Then, if convicted, the official is removed from office and can stand trial. The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High crimes and Misdemeanors.
The Senate enters judgment on its decision, whether that be to convict or acquit, and a copy of the judgment is filed with the Secretary of State.[3] Upon conviction, the official is automatically removed from office and may also be barred from holding future office. The removed official is also liable to criminal prosecution. The President may not grant a pardon in the impeachment case, but may in any resulting criminal case.
Is this true? I have a hard time believing the President would be above this depending on the crime committed
What is this Nunes clown's connection to Russia? I thought he was just some typical Trump fanboy.
