I mean existing ones.
After the way they treated him, and the inside shit between the two of them we're not privy to, do you really think they want him on stage accepting an award for the game?
Pretty sure it's the case. They probably saw Kojima as a threat with his distinctly international, high-profile image. He could have easily become the CEO if shareholders were told to cast vote. They're trying to shitcan him hard and fast. But like if that was truly the case...isn't this a little harsh? There has to be more to it than just that, especially considering how much bad PR they've taken for the last few months, building up to tonight.
The whole situation doesn't make sense. Just from Konami's perspective they have to see how bad this makes them look.
In all fairness why would Konami want a former employee to accept the award for their game? Granted it was Kojima's game, but it does make sense.
This is loads of bullshit
I keep thinking that one day Konami will have a whole bunch of firings and an apology from the ownership saying that the management was to blame. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure all of this is coming straight from the top.
that image has never been truer then now.

They're trying to disassociate Metal Gear IP from him as he's leaving, with it being known as the "Hideo Kojima game", would look really bad when they announce a new one without Kojima being part of Konami. Of course it's having the exact opposite effect right now. What did Kojima do to get this type of treatment? Like is there any rumor?
Insubordination? Trying to take over the company from within? I mean like, there has to be another side to this...right?

this has never been more appropriate.

He's just on a holiday though! In all fairness why would Konami want a former employee to accept the award for their game? Granted it was Kojima's game, but it does make sense.

Because that employee is one of the most famous developers in the world, and well known for Metal Gear being his star creation. In all fairness why would Konami want a former employee to accept the award for their game? Granted it was Kojima's game, but it does make sense.
What existing ones? Do they have any? I guess they released Silent Hill Homecoming or something. Wasn't that like 2008? Rocket Knight Adventures too
It's crazy they have that much control on him. Is this just a cultural difference or what? After the way they treated him, and the inside shit between the two of them we're not privy to, do you really think they want him on stage accepting an award for the game?
Pretty sure? It was confirmed back in March or April this is exactly what happened. You really didn't read those articles.
