I'm in agreement with everybody that the outfit is incredibly stupid, but I still have high hopes for the series. We'll see how it plays out come October.

Well this is.. something

I'll be giving this a watch because Gurren Lagann totally surprised me when I watched it, totally was bored the first few episodes.

If there's one thing that I love, it's anime featuring student councils with seemingly godlike authority and power.

I also have a large soft spot for transforming seifuku

Probably intentional.

I'm hoping so. They did a different version of a dystopic future with Gurren, so it would be nice to see a more...mmm..subversive level of control, and not just "live underground or die; Fuckers".

Confirmed to be streaming "within hours of [its] original air time in Japan" on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Daisuki, so whatever your preferred simulcast site is, you'll have a way to watch it.

Thank god Aniplex USA is too fucking lazy to put that on their own page instead of linking ANN. I swear most PR people in the US anime & manga industry are down right incompetent.

It also mildly amuses me that AoA is still doing official subs for the PVs... two and half weeks late. Here's an official English subbed version, just uploaded today, of the 30-sec PV from the end of August.

I suppose they might have an official subbed version of the most recent PV from this weekend by the time the show actually starts airing?

Crunchyroll simulcast time and regions revealed: Thursdays at 11:30am PDT for North America, South America, and South Africa only.

As noted above, Madman Entertainment will be streaming a same-day simulcast for Australian and New Zealand.

I hope there will be some awesome male lead badasses. schoolgirls with swords is great and all, but I also like a good male character!

Not sure if serious.

I just hope that the story is entertaining and the characters (regardless of gender) are cool. I'm really looking forward to this but I haven't been following it too closely because I'd like to go in with at least somewhat fresh eyes.

completely serious. I am male, and like awesome male anime hero characters like Spike! Not sure what the problem is with that...

I think the problem is that you could watch a hundred other action shows with a male lead. No need for every fucking show in the universe to have to appeal directly to your oddly specific need.

Which one of the streaming services is going to post this first? I guess Crunchy requires a subscription to watch brand new stuff, so I'd need to sign up for a free trial. I'm trying to find a schedule, but I only see the dates listed and not the times.

"KILL la KILL" production report

Nice to meet you fellow subscribers! My name is Higuchi, and I am the script writer's literary assistant. Through this past year and a half, I was able to witness the raw production of "KILL la KILL" and I would like to take my time to share some of my wonderful experience with all of you!
I bet all of you are familiar, but "KILL la KILL" is produced by Hiroyuki Imaishi and Kazuki Nakashima, the duo from "Gurren Lagann." With the staffs being close with each other, each and every staff meeting was filled with jokes and laughter. Each and every staff was really having fun! Despite the staffs horsing around at time, their boldness to create what they truly enjoy, and not catering to the popular trend is something I admire. "KILL la KILL" definitely reflects on the creators passion, and it just might be the punch Japan needs in this laid back times. So please don't miss out on the first episode of "KILL la KILL!"

I hope the people who watched Attack on Titan will give this show a shot. I loved the first episode.

People are probably going to rage quit the moment Matoi's true outfit is revealed.
