I love how Hillary44 constantly brown-noses John McCain. So shit-faced.
And no, Obama has never articulated why people should vote for him. Never.

Oh, and..

Democratic Party by the Dean/Brazile/Pelosi Axis

Have they resorted to Bush rhetoric now?

Why are these hillaryis44 people calling him Obambi? What the fuck does it mean?
It was from earlier in the year when Obama was perceived to have been 'soft and 'weak' during the primaries, thus he wouldn't have been able to fight back against the 'gop machine'. But Hillary can, because she's a 'fighter'.

Explain this to me. In the SAME Clinton speech from yesterday (or the day before) she talked about how it's unfair Obama is treating some states unequally to others (I'm assuming MI and FL), and THEN turns around and says Obama can't win the "important" states come this November. So... wouldn't that be treating some states differently than others?

In her effort to get MI and FL seated she's acted like she's been on their side saying that it's unfair to disenfranchise those voters, then turn around and say that caucus states don't really count and they aren't really democratic (this of course after Obama was winning them).

She also had said that her voice has been consistent in getting MI & FL seated when in fact she signed the damn agreement with the DNC regarding the rules. Consistent my ass.

Hillary changes her tune and agenda based off of whatever makes her look good. The sad thing is, people eat it up and don't seem to either see or care that's how she is.

I've come to the conclusion that Hillary quitting now would be worse for Obama than her staying in.

Remember the crap McCain got when Huckabee won a state after dropping out? Obama doesn't need to loose states against someone who has dropped out.

Here's the one that really gets me.

She argues that the Michigan popular vote should count, and the delegates should be seated. Part of her argument for this is that while Obama chose to remove his name from the ballot, there was an "active campaign" to have his supporters vote "uncommitted", which made it a fair vote.

But while that's part of her argument for counting her votes in Michigan, at the same time she refuses to count any of the "uncommitted" votes for Obama. (Edwards was still in the race at the time.) So the uncommitted vote both validates her votes, and should not be counted themselves.

Not to mention it runs against her whole "count every vote" theme. That's the case she's taking to the commission on the 31st. I don't think anyone is going to swallow it.

I really wish Hillary could find a more productive way to exit than bitching and moaning about the media and acting like she's being forced out of the race. As if some of her supporters weren't insane enough, she's making them even more mad at democrats. :p

yeah...some of us in KY didn't know that unless you registered for a specific party by december 31st, you can't vote in the primary (given that you were already a registered voter, like me.)

if you, however, werent registered to vote, you had until april 20th to register and choose whatever party you wanted.

so those of us who are I's, and those who are R's, and were registered as such, were given until dec 31 to change parties, but those who were never registered had until april 20th.

it just kinda seems unfair to give them until the end of the april to chose a party, but limiting those pre-registered to have to know which primary they wanted to vote in/etc to changing by dec 31. ugg.

needless to say, i will not be voting in a primary election tomorrow in Ky.

You would think Oliver North would be pulled off the air with the election happening, considering his Iran Contra connections and that, if anything, could be really considered Appeasement.:lol

Heard on the local NPR station on the way home that over 51% of democratic ballots were returned as of yesterday. Over 2 million were mailed. Should hit 75-80% by the end of the day tomorrow.

If these feminazis weren't so bitter from their years of being barren, childrenless Tom&Jerry chunksters then maybe they wouldn't want to risk the damage a McCain presidency will bring to their actual lesbian crusades.

Gotta say. Now that it's such common knowledge that Barack has it in the bag, I'm starting to lose some attention. We should have a PoliGAF General Election thread going.

I'm assuming after everything is all neat and tidy we'll have a PoliGAF General Election Summer Campaign thread, then we'll move to convention threads, then to debate threads, then to a final campaigning thread, then a final election day thread. That is, if we want to keep the threads from getting too massive, and we follow the same format we used for the primaries.

It's funny to think about how big PoliGAF is now, whereas it was pretty much non-existant in 2004.

Well he has been a closet Obama supporter so he never counted to began with. ;)

This brings up a point to me about the Democratic party. This contest could have been done if Richardson would have endorsed a day before Texas (yes I know Obama won), if Edwards would have endorsed before Penn or before NC/IN primary.

This slow off the starting block seems to be a continuing theme amongst Democrats. Maybe they are trying to figure out where they stand in the re-organization of the democratic party because in a real sense that what Obama really means to the party once he makes it Clinton's influence (Bill not Hiliary) becomes lessened. And the Obama/Dean style of Democratic organization will begin. That has to be scary for some of the rank and file democratic power players. But I digress, my question is why do the wait until after their involvement makes no difference?

Maybe they think it might hurt them if they endorse someone before their home base votes and the person they endorse gets crushed. They're not putting their influence to a direct immediate test.

In the 1960 World Series, the New York Yankees, scored 28 more total runs than the Pittsburgh Pirates in the seven-game battle. Yet because of the distribution of those runs, the New York Yankees lost the World Series on that important technicality called games won, 4-3. I don't think the 1960 Yankees take much solace in scoring more runs than the Pirates in that series.

i like it as a response to anyone talking about the popular vote, but thats just me

I never thought I would be cheering the republicans on. It a shame that the Dems put up such a crook to be our nominee. We have had a crook for 8 years, we want change, we want hope, we want a new style of politics!

At least use your own slogans, you dumb-fucks.

NO. The proper response to anyone talking about the popular vote is that Obama won the popular vote. Clinton doesn't count uncommitted for Obama at all in Michigan... that's a huge fucking difference
