I still can't believe they're doing a horror anthology season based on "Candle Cove". I can only assume they'll be trawling the SCP archives looking for future seasons.

There's definitely some stuff in there I'm curious about (Atlanta, Incorporated), but what I'm most curious about is just how badly Gotham is going to handle its utterly stupefying recasting/storyline decision. That should be a nicely horrifying trainwreck.

I'd somehow missed that "Stan vs. Evil" stars John C. McGinley. That increases my interest in the show substantially.

Great job Ratsky!

Saw the pilot for Swedish Dicks last night and found it to be promising. Will take some time to get through the entire list, but it looks solid.

Peak TV is so real.

Definitely sticking with:
  • Atlanta - This show looks gorgeous, first and foremost. The teasers have all had an extremely unique style and I hope the show capitalizes on it. I have high hopes for Atlanta and I hope the show sustains the creative energy the teasers promised for 10 episodes.
  • Luke Cage - It's a Marvel show, nuff said. Well, that and everything about this show looks extremely promising. Here's hoping the show is as good as all the pre-release materials have indicated.
  • Westworld - I'm always in for more dark sci-fi, and with a cast as stacked as this, Jonathan Nolan, and some gorgeous looking cinematography, this looks like it can't fail.
  • The Grand Tour - Top Gear without limits. In like Flynn.
  • Documentary Now! - Bill Hader, Seth Meyers, and Fred Armisen spoof classic documentaries in their own style. What's not to love?
  • Black Mirror - Charlie Brooker gets the budget he deserves to be as cutting and ruthless as before, but I just want to see Rashida Jones & Mike Schur's episode.
Checking out an episode or two:
  • Son of Zorn - Animated/live-action hybrids seem to be getting new life this season, and Zorn looks pretty good. At best, it'll be one of those underappreciated comedies that'll be a one hit wonder and at worst, it'll play too heavily on "look at this wacky dude from his medieval world adjust to our normal one! Oh he uses birds instead of cars! Oh he's super boorish but people love him!".
  • The Crown - Looks like an interesting regal drama from a writer who's made his name writing material about the Queen. I like Matt Smith and the rest of the cast looks interesting. Here's hoping it's not as droll as its color palette would imply.
  • Insecure - I'm down for any unique voice in comedy, and considering how long this has been in development, I'd hope it found its way onto the big screen because of how good the show is.
  • High Maintenance - Heard a lot of acclaim about the original Vimeo show, so I'm in to see what a higher budget does for this show.
  • Search Party - All the "Arrested Development" actors have infinite good will for me, so I'll check this out. I'm down for some more melancholy comedy.

Also, Hallmark has a lot of Christmas movies or Christmas based shows. Branch out a bit, exploit the lesser known holidays for next season.

It's 2016 and we get new episodes of Gilmore Girls. godisreal.gif

I'm also looking forward to Luke Cage, This Is Us, Kevin Can Wait and Easy but there's probably a ton of more good stuff I don't have on my map right now that internet hype will hopefully guide me towards once they air.

On a side note ... damn, Katy Mixon looks more like Molly than Victoria these days.

Designated Survivor because I can't say no to Jack Bauer/Venom Snake as president.

Other than that, probably just The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers and Star Wars Rebels (does that premiere in the Fall or next year?). I don't have a DVR and I prefer to watch on my own schedule (I really should get a DVR), so I'll wait for other people's recommendations on the other shows I'm interested in, but not enough to tune in every week.

I will be continuing to watch the shows I'm already familiar with.
As a rule, I never watch any series until its first season ends and I can get some feedback on its quality, and of course until I can watch it all at once.

The Strain - S3 - will wait for it to end before watching, not a particularly good show, but it's fun
Blindspot - S2 - Thought of dropping it after S1, but made a decision to give it a chance for the first three episodes. If I don't like where it's going, it's getting dropped.
South Park - S20 - still one of my favorite shows. Trimming the number of episodes and focusing on current events mostly is positive for me, and I love watching it every week.
Ash vs. Evil Dead - S2 - The funnest and funniest show currently on TV.
Blunt Talk - S2 - Love the humor, love Patrick stewart, I'm very glad I decided to watch it.
Black Mirror - S3 - I'm a bit apprehensive about the show's move over to the US. I'm afraid it might lose some of its edge and wit. Hope I'm wrong, though.
The Walking Dead - S7 - My guess is - Abraham. 52 days until I find out.
Rectify - S4 - The best depressing show I like to watch. I'm expecting an equally depressing resolution.
The Fall - S3 - even though they could have easily called it quits after season 2 and that would have been satisfactory, I'm looking forward to see what happens to the characters.
The Man in the High Castle - S2 - Liked the first few episodes, got really boring in the middle, I almost dropped it, and now I'm intrigued to see where it goes after a weird and somewhat unexpected season 1 finale. I will not be very sad if i end up dropping it.
Homeland - S6 - By now, I'm watching it due to inertia. For me, the series ended after season 3. Not that 4 and 5 were bad, just not as interesting.

Aiii

So not worth it
Thanks, once again, for the list, I haven't noted down which programs I've added to my automatron, but I will check out at least a good twenty of 'em I reckon. Some potentially good stuff in there.

Fuzzy

I would bang a hot farmer!
Here's a list of the new stuff I'm interested in. I won't bother listing the stuff I already watch.

Harley and the Davidsons
Atlanta
Queen Sugar
Luke Cage
Westworld
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

There are a bunch of others that I'll probably check out (like the Canadian shows).

A+ on the thread Ratsky! Your photoshop skills are coming along nicely.

Will watch:
Narcos - Rather liked the first season
Swedish Dicks - I still can't believe this show is real.
Berlin Station - By now it should be clear that spy fiction is catnip to me
Black Mirror - So far it hasn't disappointed me, and the cast & crew behind the upcoming episodes is insane.
Midnight Sun - I'm pretty sure I'm legally obligated to watch this.
Rectify - Best show currently on TV, will be sad to see it go.
Please Like Me - It doesn't have an American home anymore (rip Pivot), but it is still the best least watched show on TV.
The Fall - Season 2 wan't as good as the first, but still good enough to keep me watching.

Will watch if well received:
The Collection - Could be a bore. Could be a lot of fun.
Atlanta - Not that I think it won't be well received. But still.
Quarry - I like the premise well enough, comes down to the execution.
Insecure - Liked the trailers so far, looking forward to if it is as good full length
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency - I rather liked the Stephen Mangan version that the BBC made a couple of years ago.
The Crown - Not entirely sold on the premise, but it comes from a very talented writer.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life - pls, don't ruin Gilmore Girls Netflix.
Close to the Enemy - Poliakoff can be the best writer in the world. He can also be the best at sticking his head up his own arse in the world.
SS-GB - A bit The Man in the High Castle-ish but British. Hopefully it is better than its American cousin.
Westworld - Don't fuck this up HBO

Will watch whenever they make it over here:
Fleabag
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Outstanding achievement in berzeli not watching this despite overwhelming critical acclaim and nagging from friends:
Transparent

Oh, and if someone needs a pick–me–up, just watch the footage from Neandertaler. It is amazing.

First off, hats off to Ratsky for yet again delivering a great thread. This is the only source I use for what's coming to TV and when the premieres are on.

THANK YOU, RATSKY!!! YOU ROCK!!!

I've culled my watching over the last year. Some of that is due to the fact that I figure I'll get to some of these when they're on Netflix vs. watching them now.

Returning:
Shameless
The Walking Dead
The Odd Couple
Vikings

New:
Luke Cage
Westworld
No Tomorrow - this looks intriguing to me, though my wife was "meh" on the trailer
Frequency
Pure Genius - Jason Katims? I'm in

?
ARQ
Notorious - my wife thought this trailer looked good, but I was "meh" - maybe I'll watch this with her if she'll watch No Tomorrow with me, or maybe we'll just watch different stuff
Conviction - huge maybe... thought the premise sounded interesting
Timeless - another huge maybe

Edit - oh, and why do all the Syfy (good lord that name still sucks to even type) look like complete ass? I was like, "oh, Van Helsing but it's Vanessa Helsing, let's see what this looks like" and ugh at that trailer.

Thanks, Ratsky. Excellent work as always.

I'm swamped this Fall, so I'll be sampling Atlanta, Better Things, Quarry, Westworld, and Insecure. That'll probably be it. Not sure how many of those I'll stick with.

In terms of OTs, I think I'm only doing Better Things.

There will likely be more to that one, but according to the list of premieres I checked, those are the returning shows that I'll be watching. I might add The Flash, Arrow and Agents of SHIELD to the list, if I catch up on those finally before they air.

As for new shows (these count as giving a try or sticking with them):

The Case of: JonBenet Ramsey (CBS)
StartUp (Crackle)
Atlanta (FX)
Better Things (FX)
One Mississippi (Amazon)
Quarry (Cinemax)
Easy (Netflix)
Fleabag (Amazon)
High Maintenance (HBO)
The Good Place (NBC)
This Is Us (NBC)
Lethal Weapon (Fox)
Designated Survivor (ABC)
Son of Zorn (Fox)
Crisis in Six Scenes (Amazon)
Luke Cage (Netflix)
Westworld (HBO)
Timeless (NBC)
Divorce (HBO)
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (BBC America)
The Crown (Netflix)
Shut Eye (Hulu)
Sneaky Pete (Amazon)

...help. Some of those shows I don't have much faith in, so I'll give them a chance and that'll be it. But holy hell, that's a lot of shows. And November/December hasn't really been fully slotted yet, so there can always be more!

Great job with the thread! It is always helpful in deciding what I will watch in the Fall.

This past year the whole Peak TV thing finally caught up with me. I was just watching too much to handle. So this summer I ended up dropping a bunch of shows (some airing new in the summer, some I had fell behind on last season). Some I had just started watching and were never really good, so dropping them was easy. Others I had been watching for a while, they were once great, but had fallen off and I was watching them out of inertia. So some stuff is gone from my DVR and other stuff I watch on Netflix got removed from my TV app thing. It has been pretty liberating, so I'm going to take a hard look at the shows I still watch this Fall and see what else I might cut. Anyway, here is stuff I will be watching, plus stuff I may drop (still thinking about it).

New (I'll at least try these, feel pretty positive I will stick with the bolded)
A Season with Florida State
Atlanta
Better Things
Quarry
The Good Place (Most excited about this among the new stuff)
Son of Zorn
Luke Cage
Westworld
Frequency
No Tomorrow

Returning

Stuff I'm Excited For
Rectify
Rick and Morty
Jane the Virgin
Life in Pieces

Stuff I Plan to Stick With
Gotham
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
New Girl
Scream Queens
The Vampire Diaries (thankfully it is the last season or I might have had to think about dropping this)
The Walking Dead (watch this with my brother so kind of must keep going)
Humans
Scream
The Fall
Modern Family

Stuff I May Cut
The Affair
The Last Man on Earth
The Flash (I think I may just shift this and Arrow to summer on Netflix)

Danthrax

Batteries the CRISIS!
You should add under TBD Fall:

Bee & PuppyCat — VRV

...VRV being a paid SVOD app from the Crunchyroll people that is set to launch before the end of this year.

I really appreciate the time and effort that went into doing all those links Ratsky.

It's a shame people ruin some of it by geolocking them. I mean what's the point in restricting trailers?

I'm going to watch every episode of every show on that list, and then I'm going to kill myself.

But seriously Westworld, Ash vs Evil Dead and Samurai Jack are the three things I know I will watch for sure.

Oh right, Rectify is coming back for its final season on October 26th! I thought it was January for some odd reason. So yeah, that!
