Very interesting. Delayed for being too repetitive, and they also had time to flesh things out (codex entries, animation, hacking etc).

Honestly I wish this happened with more games.

You're nuts. Sleeping Dogs is the best looking last gen open world game. This game blows that away. Its better in every way graphically.

Don't really care about the graphics because overall it looks amazing. To be honest, I am having trouble distinguishing too much the difference between the version that was shown at E3 2012 and this trailer. The only thing I really hope they still have is the little things like the wind blowing cans and leaves as you walk around the city.

I did like this passage:

Initially, I just ran around exploring the open world and digging into the tantalizing bits of information you can pull from anyone's phone. One particular passerby seemed to eye me nervously, so I checked out his phone and was able to listen to an obscure but slightly suspicious message. I decided to follow him and watched as he stood in front of a mailbox, tapping an envelope in his hand before looking around and dropping it in.

I spent the next 15 minutes tailing him, thinking that perhaps he was up to something. The more I followed him, the more suspicious he acted until finally, abruptly, he started running away from me.

Visually, it looks good for this gen.

It looks sub-par for next gen or PC.

It's a cross-platform port. And nothing we saw in the initial reveal trailer was anything that can't be done on a PC/PS4/XB1. We've already seen plenty of other games - a few of them open world - which look as good if not significantly better than the reveal of WD. It looked great but it didn't look unbelievable.

This trailer got me hooked and the short gameplay vid suggested a longer mission structure for some things in the game. That would keep me playing.

It's being ported down though isn't it? I thought it was built as a next-gen game that had to be downscaled for PS360, rather than the other way around.

No i'm not trolling, i'm being serious. The gameplay itself doesn't look inspiring. The hacking reminds me of the synchronizing in AC. The original premise has been ruined in my eyes. This game reminds me a lot of AC1.
