Has anyone come across bigpapa979? Just wondering, cos I just come across him online and he couldn't wait to tell us how good he was, how he has won some competition 2 years straight, seriously, told us about 4 times. And, wow, you should check him out on the time trials too. So I did, found some top 50 times but no top 10s (haven't checked every leaderboard), so not quite sure what he was on about.

Lol.

Highly competent, 1035 stars, lvl 65, and some very good times. Better than me, no doubt.

But holy shit, "hey everyone, can you all hear me? Just letting you know you're racing with bigpapa979, one of Driveclubs best racers. I've won the something something 2 times straight. Hit me up on psn, I'll give you some tips." Like 4 times over during the race.

Here's farmerboy's tip for you bigpapa. Stop being SUCH A TOOL.
ahem, he won that race though, gotta give him that

This almost makes me want to play properly again just to troll the fecker. :D

Yeah mate we've run into Big Papa 979 a few times. He loses most races with us, even after trying to take us out. He jumped on chat in the lobby and told everyone he was some social club worldwide championship winner, I've never heard of this.

He's dirty too and then claims he isnt.

He also claimed to a team mate of mine that he is in fact Sebasitan Loeb...the WRC champion. Just to show you how much bullshit comes out of BigPapa979's mouth.

I'm giggling like a little kid here.

And shit, AnythingButs outta the woodwork. This means trouble.........

Sprints! Nice, I might actually be able to get some decent times, I can usually do sections close or on par to the top people but the whole track I always fuck up in one or two of the sectors.

Only thing I can think of to do with a "social club" is if it were in Midnight Club LA.

In other news, finally got to put in some good time into DC after quite a while of not being able to. Managed to get the level 63 challenge out of the way (I think. The Audi RS on the reverse Scotland track), kept cutting it really close and just hitting Trolley's time (which was close to the 1:30.5 needed) and then I put in a lap and smashed the required time by a whole second.

This game just gives me them feels that no other does. Still absolutely love it. Curious about these sprint things too.

What level will the game go to in the next patch?

Also, I wonder if they get progressively harder, to the point where you maybe get only 1% of the playerbase reaching that level? I wonder if Evo thinks that might alienate players?

I personally think that would be cool. The top tier players deserve a cap that no one should be able to reach.

I think the level goals are getting progressively harder... the first two or three I think I'd already qualified for, with the RS/Scotland one being a tough nut to crack. The RGT8 one should be interesting.

Mazzanti 1:21.5 and I just snuck a 1:21.488 out!!! Fuck yes!
Nice! I think you'll have the Audi RS Scotland reverse one next. If I can offer any pointers, it's that it's REALLY important to get good, fast lines out of the first major corner and that hairpin. And watch out for that hill ;)
It was a super-fun challenge. I probably only think of it as fun because I smashed it by 1s after coming so close so many times on it :/

I'm 8 seconds short going in cold with the Audi. However, my MO is to run different car classes to get different feels and learn the track. So I ended up running hypers on it and those catch some serious air with the elevation changes. I think I'm loving the FXX K more than the Venom now. That car freaking flies around. Will work on the Audi later, done for the night but one more level in the books at least.

That hill is funny :)

Hey friends I decided to download the Playstation Plus edition to give this a try, quick question though, does DLC work with it or does it require the full version? I wanted to get those Sakura courses.

Still stuck on this, it's a pretty nice challange for me compared to the others which felt easier to me.

This sprint mode looks promising. It reminds me of the many many hours my roommates and I spent years ago on besting each other in old GT license tests. These tests would also often cover just one or a few corners.

Level 65 at least, one fucking trophy to platinum ( the unbeatable trophy of course ).

This game ... it's the one that is keeping me hooked on it for the most time in the last year or so, thanks to the season pass of course.

Every time i pick this up i'm having great fun.

Congrats to EVO for the beauiful work.

( Next time try a little harder on the paint schemes if you can guys )

And the surprise is?

I don't want new Evo made tracks unless they remake the best of WRC series. Course Maker and selling theme packs and cars as this 'service' should have been the future direction of Driveclub.

Evos have failed everyone.

Speak for yourself fellow gaffer. I would never trade the few magnificient and expertly crafted Evo Tracks for tons of fan made ones.

This is rubbish, I'd much rather more Evo tracks than user generated garbage.

Anyway, just got to level 75 - new challenges are great fun, especially the Gumbert lap at Kinloch for level 75

And - the new Renault is so good, planted, fast and roars like a demon

I guess the surprise are the sprint challenges. And, Evo haven't failed me, not by a long shot.
