Tropico 5 is great. I know because I bought it in the Easter sale a few weeks ago. Quite annoyed about the fact it's in Plus after I paid for it and after a year of mostly dreck but hey ho. If you like city builder games check it out.

Because Microsoft is behind and needs to gain ground. It's the same reason Sony offered such great games when they were trying to make up for lost ground. With an insurmountable lead, why would they offer the best? Their product is killing it.

I just went through 7 pages of the December 2014 PSN+ thread and that certainly wasn't the reaction to it. The vast majority of folks who weren't excited already owned it and didn't like fighting games. One person on the second last page said it was bargain bin and was called out for it. I'm willing to bet there are at least twice as many "People are complaining about PSN games again! How dare they!" in this thread than there were people complaining about Injustice in that thread.
In all fairness there's more shit posting about good games in these threads now, but that's likely because there hasn't been an AAA game on the service in a year and a half.
Anyway Tropico's a good get.

Not interested in either I'd rather have Watch Dogs which I already own...
How are the games at fault that you prefer a bad game you already own instead of trying new things that you could like?
I remember people complaining before Rocket League launched so I shouldn't be surprised about that mentality tho
We get so many bad games on PS Plus I don't have the time to play them all, I just add them to my cart and move on. At least with Watch Dogs I'd feel like it's more value than Tabletop. Simple as that.

Honestly? The PS4 games aren't bad for stuff I'd like to try, but maybe wouldn't buy and, quite often, that's the appeal of the service for me.

I hope the people calling Tropico 5 'trash', similar are *never* satisfied by a PS+ schedule. They don't deserve it. Not interested in the line up? Fair enough. But there is zero need to be a cunt about it.

Tropico 5 is a cool enough game for the freebies, if it's anything like the other Tropico's I've played on PC it's a lite city builder with an amazing soundtrack that keeps things interesting enough to tool around with the world.
When I read these threads, I sometimes wonder if people aren't going to be happy unless Sony puts the likes of Bloodborne and Destiny as the freebies. Then they'll complain they already own these highly popular AAA games.

Played the Tropico demo and almost bought it, just wasn't seeing myself getting deep into that genre again and didn't buy it (especially considering it's full price). I guess now I get another chance so that's a good pick for me this month.
Wish Table Top Racing actually was a MicroMachines clone (is there at least a mode to play it like that?).
I must say I'm surprised about the tanking quality of the PS3 lineup. I would have thought in the closing years of the console they could just pump out even more blockbuster games than they already had. I can't imagine there would be many sales lost so publishers could just throw in whatever. Handing out 5 year old minigames w/o even Trophy support is therefore weird to see (LocoRoco is fun though).

Must say I've been happy with Plus on PS4. And it's another cracking month. Been thinking of Tropico for some time so I'm stocked it's now free. Also Switch Galaxy Ultra has a retro Trailblazer look to it, can't wait to give it a go on my Vita.

Table Top Racing seems like a brand new game being released on PS+, which is always my preferred approach, and could be an interesting racer.

It's really not new at all for anyone paying attention to the type of games people have been asking for.
Seems like a potentially good month to me. The two big PS4 games are things slightly out of my wheelhouse so I wouldn't jump to buy them, but I'm intrigued and could end up really enjoying them given the opportunity.
Also, I've always been interested in getting around to Rearmed 2.

Glad about Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. I'd previously refused to buy it due to it having to always be online for like DRM purposes or something like that.
But it is one of the many definitions of AAA these threads generate.
