Though I'd love Carson as VP for Donald, the prior post is right... Trump's VP choice, should he win the GOP primary, could truly be anything.

Personally, I am rooting for Newt.

We all are. Personally I'd like some legislation to talk about.

But that would require Republican to actually do their job. The only other things to talk about would be what legislation Dems have in the works for when they may take the house in 2018?

Gambling on Trump's VP is a fool's bet. Who the fuck knows what's going on in that head? Might as well play dice.

Seriously. Logic already is kinda iffy for VP picks. Add in Trump and it's like playing Russia roulette with only one empty chamber.

Damn, Joni Earnst would be amazing. My mind is still reeling that she was able to win her seat. Just codifies how bad Dems do in midterm elections.

I made a few bucks on Ernst and bailed.

I go out for din din and Bernie yes in Oregon is back up to 75 from I think 60 earlier. Hillary yes is down from 32ish to 25. Why? Tyler Pedigo said something on twitter I guess. A poll showing her ahead 15 points takes days to move that market in her favor but Tyler says something and there it is. I've made quite a bit in there and put the profits in a few other markets. Tyler took a nice chunk out of what I have left so just going to hopefully sell for a profit on tues.

What? Outrageous! I don't have a gambling problem. Shut your mouth, voice in my head!

Yep. He and everyone who supports his dumb ass needs to be embarrassed.

I think it's important though to remember that Trump losing an election doesn't make his supporters magically disappear. Even if Trump gets blown out in the general and gets 30% of the popular vote or something, that's still a massive amount of people who either support his platform enough to vote for him, or dislike the Democrats enough to vote against them.

Careful, he once compared FDR's ability to get things done to Bernie's. You know, FDR, the most "establishment" democrat there might ever been, to the independent Senator who became a democrat just to run for president. Comparisons from the alternate dimensions, really.

Ironic being that Obama is our FDR and FDR beat out their socialist populist of their time.

Just in case anyone thought Nader was at all someone that should be listened to.

Former Green Party presidential candidate Ralph Nader predicted Friday that Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton will win the general election "by dictatorship."

"She's going to win by dictatorship. Twenty-five percent of superdelegates are cronies, mostly. They weren't elected. They were there in order to stop somebody like Bernie Sanders, who would win by the vote," the five-time presidential candidate told U.S. News, adding that believes Mrs. Clinton is a "corporatist, militarist Democrat."

Mr. Nader, 82, praised presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump for bringing some important issues to light.

"He's questioned the trade agreements. He's done some challenging of Wall Street - I don't know how authentic that is. He said he's against the carried interest racket, for hedge funds. He's funded himself and therefore attacked special interest money, which is very important," Mr. Nader told U.S. News. "But he's lowered the level of political debate to unheard-of depths of salacious, slanderous and vacuousness, garnished with massive self-boosterism and repetition.

....

"I think he made very few mistakes. He raised a lot of money, so he was viable, from small contributions. He didn't back down on his record of 35 years. He wasn't given enough debates ... he couldn't do anything about closed primaries. And he couldn't do anything about the superdelegates. But he almost won and he would've won," he told U.S. News. "He would've defeated Trump easily, much more easily than [Mrs. Clinton] would've defeated him. He doesn't produce gaffes. He's very consistent and he's scandal-free. What politician 35 years in office is scandal-free?"

Penn Jillette only supports the Libertarian Party.

Well, in the sort of way that not voting for the only real opposition to Trump is a vote for Trump, Penn probably will be voting for Trump :p. Yeah I bet he votes Libertarian every time and feels all smug about it too.

I hope Tom Perez is Hillary's running mate. I'd actually vote for her and she'd do a good job of courting Bernie supporters with that.

Would you not vote for her if she didn't pick Perez? What about Perez changes your decision

I personally don't visit the thread much anymore, it's been wrapped up since Illinois primary for me and the only thing of notice since then was the death of Cruz and the now maybe destruction/revamping of the GOP. The conventions are in July, otherwise it's going to be a boring couple months till then...unless something terrible happens.

But haven't you heard?! Something terrible has happened.

Absolutely nothing changed in Nevada, fraud is everywhere!

Been said a few times in this thread (by me, probably), but as soon as I heard him on Keeping it 1600, I knew it was going to be/had to be him. Very progressive, stays on talking points without sounding scripted, undeniable demographic advantage, and doesn't put any existing Dem Senate seats at risk.

See I don't know, I want Perez to be President someday to be honest. He's progressive, he has a radical touch to him while still being pragmatic, he's charismatic, and he seems to reflect the diversity of modern American society. He should be the direction the Democratic party is going in, Hillary seems like the Dems are going backwards because it's her turn tbh

I had never experienced pure visceral anti semitism until last week.

As a Jew I was lucky that that shit was hidden. But last week a dude, to my face, ranted about my how Jews were "ants" (actual quote) how we were controling the media, how we were subjugating white people, etc...

I've been Jewish my entire life. I had never experienced that until last week...

Thanks trump!

Hillary's election would be just as historic as Obama's.

I'm sorry, MetsFan :(

The writer of the Nazi article is also a Trump delegate in California.

And at the grocery store today I saw the Enquirer publishing "Hillary covered up Bill's sex crimes!" and realized that, yeah, a tabloid rag being used by a presidential candidate is a thing that happens now.

I know it's beating a dead horse to talk about how Politico is shit, but they really are shit.

Headline:
Hillary Clinton's 'Delegate Hell'

actual article:
Locking up virtually the entire Democratic Party establishment has been a boon for Hillary Clinton in her fight against Bernie Sanders. But as she closes in on the primary finish line, she’s grappling with one big downside.
It’s what one top aide referred to as “Delegate Hell.”

Thousands of high-powered Clinton loyalists across the country who have worked hard for the Democratic front-runner now expect to be chosen as “at large” delegates or PLEOs (party leaders and elected officials). And there aren’t enough available slots to accommodate them all, turning the process into a competitive game of musical chairs.

“For every person that gets to be a national delegate, there’s probably going to be 50 that are qualified and deserve to be delegates as well,” said Gary Mauro, a longtime Clinton friend and operative who is overseeing delegate selection in Texas. “We won’t make everyone happy. There just aren’t enough slots to go around.”

Oh no! We're too popular!

You know the people who can't get it through their skulls that if you file a lawsuit with the aim of breaking a major federal program, the people who inevitably suffer when the program no longer functions are suffering because of your actions?

Those people are vermin. Just absolutely vile, shit-sucking scum.

I've read so much, "Should have read it to see what's in it!" gloating today. Or people saying that if poor people can't afford healthcare after this ruling, it's Pelosi's fault. And honestly, not even taking into account that their logic makes no goddamn sense, it felt like looking into the face with of true evil.

I've never had this experience ever until Trump. Trump isn't funny. He's scum. Racist scum. I can't imagine what Muslims, African Americans, latinos have experienced. Fuck trump and his racist bullshit.

I'm actually shocked that many republicans are actually realizing what they're party has brought.

I actually appreciate tweets like this

You're talking about the risk pool reimbursements, right? The whole point of killing Obamacare is to replace it with market-based, individual-targeting healthcare legislation with tort reform. I'm not saying that's better, but from their perspective, they're trying to save people from a bad law that won't work and usher in a better law, sooner. That's hardly evil.

In case anyone cares or is keeping track, the age of the Berniebro is over. Shills for Hill and Berniebros were never meant to be together. Etc. Etc. Etc.
