Yeah, I remember that from the older thread. After Kolin and Ed, I'm still willing to bet its Satsuki.
I wonder if this makes the next guess, Abigail from Final Fight, less plausible?
They have put out other preview silhouettes, that's a fan compilation of them. Ed looks a lot like Iori + Boxing Gloves.

Ed was the one new character I wanted. It's the other minor characters/NPCs that I didn't want.
Beta is gonna be soon and he'll be playable i heard
I'm more confused how he went from like 6-7 years old to like borderline 18 years old in the course of 2 years max.

That's a really huge character design change from the story mode if true. Doesn't really make sense.
If boxing was his main way of fighting, then why is he here in the story (in a very important mission) relying entirely on his psycho powers? You'd think he would be equipped fully, just in case. Weird.

He's a spare body for M. Bison. His growth is accelerated so that Bison can possess him should wishes to switch bodies.

I'd really like it if this ends up being the case. We always need (even) more Jojo in SF. Imagine a psycho powered Star Platinum style stand hovering in front of Ed that does all of the attacking while he keeps his distance by dodging and whatnot to protect his still relative weak body. That might be cool imo.
I mean apart from a fake-out to throw us off, which I believe they haven't done so far going by the fact that the other silhouettes ended up being good hints in hindsight if memory serves, I can't see how this silhouette can line up with Ed's design seen so far. Unless he's actually grown older or something due to his special body.
That would be fantastic indeed as I for one have been clamoring for an Indonesian (The Raid based) character! That said, my money for now is on a scenario where all of the new characters are people we've seen in the cinematic story mode. That seems to make the most sense, even if it might be disappointing to some.

I'm not seeing how this is Ed unless he gets a huge makeover and somehow packed on 25lbs of muscle.
I want to fuck this game too with all the brand new characters. Maybe even make sweet love to it.

I'm actually kind of happy about this, as I found Ed to be one of the few halfway interesting characters in the story mode. When they announce Guile's boring commander as the next character is when I'll be ticked.

I don't agree with what the poster you are quoting said but what you said is not a consensus either, i personally don't like this version of Akuma that much compared to other versions of him and judging from other threads a lot of people feel the same way. I thought Kolin was ok.
I like ed's design though, it is a nice change of pace from the pretty early 20's female or buff 25-35 male.
Eisbahn is a deep cut reference to a Capcom mobile game. Ed is the kid that Balrog saved at the end of SSFIV who showed up in the SFV story.what if Ed's last name is Eisbahn
