Looks generic as hell.
I know who it is. It's Ed. It doesn't look like Abel. They're not reusing models. The story mode models don't look as good as the in game models, Ed doesn't look like Abel and he doesn't look like he did on story mode.

SFV going back to the series' generic character roots. All the new characters in this game have been such a fucking snooze.
The newcomers of the SF3 and SF4 series were visually much more interesting. Well, half of the new SF4 characters were, anyway.
But Oro, Q, Necro, all so cool. Fuck, SFV even managed to make Ibuki more generic. Sucked all of the style out of her.

But yeah, it is disappointing that he now shares the same body type as most of the male cast. We need Gen and Rufus.

His teenager design had me thinking he might be a pretty cool keep-away boxer with back sway, flicker jabs, etc, amplified by psycho power. While he could still play interestingly, this just kinda looks like any rando hard-hitting punchman.
Yeah...I hope to be surprised by his moveset.

The one teaser Capcom did post had Balrog suspended in mid-air with psycho power (with focus points around his wrists and ankles), so I wouldn't assume too much about his playstyle yet.
