Ordered mine as well. Looking forward to it!
Wanted to say "Thanks!" to Vic and to chime in my support for this project. I was one of the original Kickstarters and am glad to see the project finally about to come to fruition. My order is in!
Any word on when this will be on the PSN store?
Got my Kickstarter version ordered last night. I have to admit I was battling with which version to pick up since the non-KS version's cover matches the original Class of Heroes cover much better. In the end my collector urges got the best of me and I went with the one that is more likely (?) to have fewer copies printed.
It's pretty exciting knowing we'll own copies of a game with so few copies printed.
No lightgun support on PSOne emulation on PSN, or EGB would already be there.
I remember your dad (Isn't he Paul?). He has a great deep voice.
Vic, do you have any of the potential designs of the failed deluxe version? Particularly the embossed box and the leather manual or even the design of the bank or watch/pendant? Or were these not even in the design stages yet when the KS failed?
Ahh you know, I didn't even think of that.... and even worse, I never tried EGB with a lightgun. Damnit!
And yes, that's my dad! He does a radio show for JPR right now every other Saturday if you ever catch that. Let us know if you ever need another great deep voice - he and I have similar voices and are always interested!
Ordered
A PSP's swan song
42$ for canada though... I hope you appreciate our support
Ironic that in a time of wanting to get rid of physical releases and go mainly digital, I want to make sure I get the physical release.
WD nostalgia, and searching flea markets in the 90s for Dragon Warrior 2 are at work here.
Each and every sale is absolutely appreciated, and that's another reason the fans getting a full color manual instead of black and white or no manual. Reciprocation - a fading art in game publishing.
I have bits and pieces of the design for various parts of the box and items for the deluxe pack, but no prototpyes, if that's what you're asking. I'm saving it all for some future project, because the detail and features of box will blow minds.
Ah, interesting. Hopefully the inevitable success of this project allows for some future mega-collectors edition of some great games.
Probably won't be a PSP game, but I'm looking forward to doing another that makes fans just want to caress it.
Idolm@ster 2 deluxe CE confirmed.
Not sure we could get support for a full out deluxe pack IdolM@ster 2, but I would so like a crack at doing the game. I think I could make it work in English. It's been discussed briefly with Namco.
If that has to be your next Growlanser Generations-scale endeavor, you could do worse.
I'm sure this has been asked before, but what are the key new features/changes/improvements in COH2 verus COH1? Is there still a lot of level-grinding?
Off the top of my head (might forget a few)...
1. Appraisal system is GONE.
2. Less level grinding
3. Party money is pooled instead of that crappy discrete money system
4. None of that confusing, annoying multi-random dungeon entrance stuff. Every labyrinth's entrances and exits stay the same.
5. Class is tied to races
6. Main story arc is more engaging
7. Graphics are a bit better
8. Indoor and outdoor labyrinths (1 is quite claustrophobic)
9. Alchemy instructor is much sexier
Basically, they took almost everything there was to hate about CoH1 (there was a lot) and removed or improved it. As a result, CoH2 is a much more enjoyable experience.
CoH2 gives you a bonus if you import your CoH1 save at the beginning, but I wouldn't recommend playing CoH1 if you haven't. It's just too abusive and might turn you off of CoH2 before you even start.
How much longer is the preorder open?
Do you need a CoH1 clear save or just any save for the import bonus?
Probably won't be a PSP game, but I'm looking forward to doing another that makes fans just want to caress it.
Goemon PS2? lol
I pre-ordered the physical copy from Amazon. To be honest, I'm not dying to play the game, but I dig first person dungeon crawlers enough to check it out, plus I just want to show my support for a great cause. More physical copies of stuff, please! =D
Very sorry if I missed it already but is this playable on Vita too? I am thinking of getting it and saving the hard copy for the future but wanted to make sure.

Don't let Kotaku hear about this

Yet another post about the Kickstarter backer verification. Just want to be absolutely sure I'm getting this right....
I'm using Gmail. I registered my Kickstarter account using the aliasing feature; that is realemail+kickstarter@gmail.com. I also used my pseudonym as my name.
If I logged into Kickstarter right now and changed my email address to realemail@gmail.com (same as I have registered on Amazon) and change my pseudonym to my real name as filed on Amazon, and forwarded the verify email using realemail@gmail.com (as opposed to realemail+kickstarter@gmail.com which the original was sent to), I'll be in the clear for the Kickstarter version?
Yes. Although matching emails would probably be enough for us to figure it out. We weren't expecting the alias/pseudonym issue with Kickstarter. It's been a pain.
My pre-order is in. シ
I hope this thread keeps on the first page. I never saw this thread until today. I would have missed out on this. I'm betting there are a number of JRPG GAFfers that would be interested.
Goemon PS2. We looked into putting it on PSN
Growlanser II should be on PSN, that would be epic
Growlanser II should be on PSN, that would be epic.
That's on Atlus. They won't re-license GL II + III for PSN, or any Growlanser for that matter to us - we've asked. Assuming they're tired/afraid of being shown up, but it really only hurts the fans and the series itself. Dunno. Maybe if their parent Index Holdings gets deeper in their financial straights they'll consider free money deals like we've offered.
