The launch games are MORE. Whether or not their better that's ur opinion. I don't see anything special with either console at launch in terms of exclusives. The launch games are better on the X1 in my opinion.
why ryse or killer instinc are better than knack or killzone?
If you´re a fan of half assed/rushed games made by c tier developers you´re certainly going to have a blast with the Xbone launch lineup.
For me, the software difference at launch isn't even debatable which I'm happy EDGE pointed out. The PS4 software doesn't interest me at all. It's interesting that people are holding onto hope that a game like Knack will get mass penetration.
I thought it was a bad ideab buying a console for the sole purpose of waiting for the better games to release. I mean, look at PS3 and the Wii-U.
The point still stands.
I give you Turn 10 but Crytek....... And Guerilla and Evolution both have a track record ranging from solid to pretty good. Can´t really say that about Double Helix, Capcom Vancouver or Crytek.
The launch games are better on the X1 in my opinion.
Since the PS4 will have the bigger install base anyway, if will have better support from developers on the long term (especially Japanese developers and indies) and overall you know you can't be wrong with that console. It's the one console (no pun intended) everyone will be playing.
Buying an Xbox One is to bet on an uncertain future.
Because... tastes? In my case, for example, Killzone never managed to overly excite me (played them all), while I've got zero interest in Knack and KI. On the other side, I absolutely love everything I've seen about DR3 so far. Well, except the slowdowns which I really really hope will be fixed.why ryse or killer instinc are better than knack or killzone?
I honestly don't understand this line of thinking. You're talking about a 5 year investment, launch titles have almost no bearing on which console I choose. I want the best hardware for the best price. Also with the consoles launching at the same time I don't think MS will be able to throw money at third parties for as long as they did with the 360, it will simply get too expensive. The launch games are better on the X1 in my opinion.
I still wonder why people put so much faith in Guerrilla, but I've been wondering that since before Killzone 1 came out. Even before they had a track record they were held up as a messiah.
PS3 turned out amazing though.
I just think it's weird that people are making choices based on games that no one is going to care about 6 months from now. When was the last launch game that came out that was truly great and had staying power?
Guerrilla and Evolution are wayyyy better than Crytek.Turn 10 and Crytek are no more "c tier" (lulz) than Guerrilla and Evolution, that's sure. But it all comes down to tastes. I'll get both consoles at launch, but I'm much more hyped for DR3 than any PS4 launch game.
This doesn't mean I don't believe PS4 won't have fantastic games: it undoubtedly will, starting with Infamous.
PS4 launch titles aren't all that bad too.
I don't think Microsoft can keep paying other studios to make games temporarily exclusive/exclusive for them...
Compare theirs with Sony's... it's not even fair. Long term, PS4 will have much better games.

Apparently the Xbone has almost caught up on pre-orders?Edward Woo, senior research analyst at Ascendiant Capital Markets, agrees but still sees one format ahead of the other. The race has turned from PS4 favour to nearly balanced after Xbox One backtracked on the internet requirement and used games DRM, Woo says. The free offer of FIFA in Europe helps close the gap considerably. I think price will still turn the favour to PS4, though.
Enough said. Conversation over.
Since the PS4 is guaranteed to have the bigger install base anyway, if will have better support from developers on the long run (especially Japanese developers and indies) and overall you know you can't be wrong with it. The PS4 is the one console (no pun intended) everyone will be playing.

Killzone 2, despite it´s flaws, was a pretty good game and it looks like they are improving the old Killzone formula a lot by adding much more freedom and bigger levels for example.
Not even talking about the gorgeous graphics.

So then why are you in this thread? Why do you even talk about next-gen considering hardware is literally all there is to discuss so far?
PS3 turned out amazing though.
I just think it's weird that people are making choices based on games that no one is going to care about 6 months from now. When was the last launch game that came out that was truly great and had staying power? Mario 64? People buy Sony and Nintendo consoles because they know they're going to get a certain level of first party support even with bad launch lineups.
I´d be much more worried about first party support than some indies or third party support in general (a few japanese games aside) if i´d buy an Xbone. Microsoft has already proven that they are not willing to support their console with a diverse and substantial lineup.
No, not really. I still don´t see a single reason to buy an Xbone over a PS4.
I'm not sure if you're intentionally missing the point. You can talk hardware comparisons until the end of days.
Having better hardware performance does not guarantee success.
Im disappointed GAF. Wheres the, "Microsoft paid these guys to publish this article", post at?
As if anybody still pays attention to Edge.

The game libraries between the two consoles are not sufficiently different to have a meaningful impact on sales.
Better hardware? That one can't be argued buddy. Even MS acknowledges.
That aint no opinion.
You could, but it wouldn't be correct
Hotness

You're arguing against a claim no one has made in this thread.
Aye. The redhead's cute too, tho
