Did anyone here order an "early copy" from that ebay guy in Texas and get any further response or tracking? Thinking it might be a scam at this point. Guys gone silent. Thank goodness for paypal protection. Ha.
At risk of raining on everyone's parade: Every single thing in Verendus's big posts could've been gleaned from watching the footage and reading the previews, and there are a couple of incorrect/dubious things in there that make me think he's full of it. Not saying FFXV won't be a great game, but this is fishy.

Why not go all out: what is wrong and what is dubious?

I'm under embargo so I won't say much, but:Why not go all out: what is wrong and what is dubious?
Instead, I prefer the game from chapter five onwards. It's not the half way point of the game, but at that stage, I was invested in the title and its characters. The first three to five chapters did a great job of drawing me in, and immersing me in the world, but it was after that I really appreciated the journey. Spoiler:Thanks to the way the design suddenly changed on me, it helped me appreciate the open world aspect a little more too. I didn't have to follow that same routine all the way through.
Thanks. Are you allowed to say when the embargo is lifted?I'm under embargo so I won't say much, but:
This part reads as if written by someone who just read all the previews and then made some assumptions.

Ugh. Don't be an asshole, man.If someone like the Kotaku dude says something is fishy you better believe it, he is a professional fisherman he knows these things, years of fishing clicks with click bait articles and news. Verendus proved full of shit right here boys.
This coming Monday or the one after? It's next Monday. That's when reviews are released.

I am sorry Verendus, but I am waiting for Metacritic. Your review is fresh because you are one of the few on this planet who finished it. I remember the same in 2010 when FFXIII was not officially released and someone called that game a masterpiece.
Then 3 months later with the official release, the mediocre reception of the reviews started and a lot of people were dissapointed in XIII.
I hope nobody will be like Conan o Brien for XV or else I expect a lot of people disliking it.
No, I'm saying he's wrong. The thing I quoted makes me suspect that he wrote all that based on previews and assumptions.Jason isn't saying Verendus is wrong. He's just saying there is nothing that he said that couldn't be pulled from all the information out there.

Wait,so it's not true the game has an open world until Chapter 4 then it becomes more linear?

4. Good news for some PC MGS fans, there are plans from the top to bring the HD collection to PC. Not that anyone isn't expecting that, I'm sure.
And we're back to square one. He won't be able to tell you that if he's under embargo

We should praise him for being like that, actually.
If Schreier is actually playing the game and can easily spot some online cheerleading by people that clearly haven't, I think it's good to call that out.
Edge preview already mentioned this change from open world to linear, i don't think he would break any embargo being a little more specific by confirming or denying.
I simply don't understand why would everyone lie about playing the game,it's a childish behaviour, if confirmed Verendus lied.
I understand. It just makes me more frustrated about embargos. There could be a genuine back and forth but, now we gotta wait for it. Frustrating.
