I'm assuming that the hydrocarbons found in stuff like Gasoline make the high that you get from codeine last longer or more intense. There's probably a way to synthesize the drug so that it doesn't rot your skin from the inside out, but it's easier for the junkies to just go to home depot and pick up some paint thinner.

Guys, the reason Krokodil even exists in those other countries is because codeine is legal there. There is literally nothing to worry about. Only idiots will try this.

The kids in Arizona had to drive down to Mexico in order to get codeine to make this. They wasted time and energy and probably spent more than it would cost to get heroin anyway.

I don't know how easy it is to acquire straight up codeine but it's in a shit load of prescription cough syrups which are extremely easy to get prescriptions for. I know from experience but I did have a legitimate reason for getting a prescription.
