Tried watching the first one on blu-ray. Immediately turned it off. I find the cg crap hideous. Why, why, why!?

There have been plenty of great series that initially repulsed me by their art style or character designs: Escaflowne, Monster, The Count of Monte Cristo, Kaiji. Doesn't take too long before you get used to it and stop noticing.

Ugly CG is not an artistic choice, it's a cost-cutting measure.

They still havent said one way or the other. Originally they said they wanted to continue into the next arc, but that was a long time ago.
