I actually think I'm gonna change me primary character from Charlie Nash to Ken in the last minute. I really need to get caught up with his move list and such, because this is gonna be the first time I invest time in a Street Fighter title.

I haven't tried the Fighting Commander personally, but I adore the FC4.

That's good to know. I have heard from multiple players that the FC4 should be really good!

Maybe I should just try playing online. I'm worried I'm going to get my ass handed to me constantly though, which is why I'm hesitant.
I know the feeling. I was pretty nervous playing the beta for the first time. I didn't get to play SFIV a lot since my PS3's disc drive went out and before that, the last time I actually played a good amount of SF was SF2 on SNES back in the 90's.

I say if you do try online, play casual matches first, that way there is no fight money or points on the line. You can just play with your friends and train together.

One thing about SFV compared to SFIV is that it's pretty simple and straightforward.

Also, like another poster said matchmaking is pretty good, so if you do decide to play some ranked matches, you will usually play against someone of the same skill level.

I see they're sticking to crazy online trophies as usual

None of these trophies are "crazy online trophies" really except maybe moving up to the higher leagues... 100 ranked wins/300 overall wins will definitely happen if you play long enough. At least you don't need to beat all the impossible trials or win 10 ranked in a row like in SFIV...

Nice, I'll probably give it a shot then. Thanks!

Okay, I'm probably gonna go for Street Fighter V on Feb 16, and starve for the rest of the month. So which of these two controllers would be best to get?

Fighting Commander (PS4/PC)

somebody recommended Fighting Commander (PS4/PC) here some where maybe it was nosafeforwork

I definitely wish the starting roster was larger. 16 is good for most fighting games, problem is SF has too many iconic characters.

What image about the release order? Do you have a link?

No, no, no. lol.

I thought the original poster meant that this image:

SFV_SeasonPass.jpg

Was not official when they said, "Going to look for an official source."

I'm assuming that, with Alex coming first, that this is the release order of the characters. I always thought this, I just didn't realize Alex was first on the image. I though it was Balrog then Guile.

Gives you something to look forward to while encouraging you to try different characters.

Yeah alex, also yeah savin money.

So i just noticed something about that dlc character tease pick.

It seems urien is wearing pants and shoes.

I know someone in these threads who will be unhappy to hear that ;_;

Hopefully that's his skin or his pre battle outfit. I'm not a fan of how Urien dresses (Or doesn't) for battle, but it's part of his image. Doesn't make sense to remove it.

Ah, I thought there was another image flying around, haha.

It's more details about the Capcom Pro Tour 2016—tournaments, qualifiers, etc.

So they're not talking about all the stuff revealed today? I heard they were

Nice to see PS3 sticks work after countless PS4 sticks were sold. At least I can go back to my Round 2 TE and skip the TE2-S.

They are not crazy.

That coming from a guy that got Platinum in SFIV vanilla... the hard and most time you will have to platinum it are the Trials.

So good there is no Trial this time.

10 ranked in a row was "easy" compared with trials.
Trial Hard took me over 30 minutes for each character... it was crazy... some chars I needed over 2 hours.

Given my experience, I will most likely lose interest before that ever happens.

Only a crazy person would do this lol

I am just now getting into the fighting game scene and I was dead set on getting Mad Catz but I am glad someone mentioned those Qanba sticks and this is PS3 compatible. Ordered a Qanba stick and is for sure arriving in time for SFV, can't say the same for the Mad Catz one I ordered.

This is awesome, thanks Capcom!

If it was going to be shown on a stream, it would be CapcomFighters on twitch. Today is the first episode of 2016.

On PS3 I was using my PS2 Hori stick with an adapter... wonder if it'll work on PS4?

I got a new PS4 stick anyway but it'd be nice to have two for local play.

What's the name of it and can it be purchased?
Looks like a custom PS3 TE stick. It was last generation's Madcatz premium model.

You can probably try eBay. They don't make them anymore. You could also try the buy sell trade thread here.

Yup. The trials trophy was the limiting factor and was brutal. Unattainable for most people. I don't like online win streak ones, but better than the alternative.

Also the C to shining C trophy was one of the best online trophies ever, because it encouraged people to play different characters online, and didn't take that many wins to reach C level for a character.

Huge applause for allowing PS3 sticks. Hopefully my PS360+ based sitdown cab will work.

Really hope Tekken 7 does this as well.

I really hope so as well. Tekken is one of my favorites outside of SF and I'm really trying to get back into the scene

I believe any game made before 1997 is "essentially cave man art."
a friend of mine is willing to sell the Hori Street Fighter 4 fight stick PS3 version for 60 bucks. Does this thing work for the ps4? I've never owned or played a fighting game with a fightstick before, would this be a good stick to start off with? This is apparently a japanese model.

I'm gonna go grab a $30 hori ps3 fightpad from gamestop, those are gonna all sell out next tuesday for sure.

Fucking hell yes. Now Harada, do the same with Tekken 7 pls.

BTW, does anyone know if ps3 sticks work in the ps4 menus or do you have to go back and forth?

The only way Sony allowed that driver previously was because it was sandboxed in-game as a security thing. So, unless they changed their policy, it will likely be the same.

You can actually get the Amazon Prime discount with the digital copy they offer.

How? It shows up full price in my cart.

Yes, please elaborate. I checked previously but no discount.

Loooool, 2000 wins for a DLC character. Looks like I'm waiting for the game to hit $30 so I can pay another $30 to play as characters I want.

I am lucky that my main is in the starting roster. I wonder what my view of this game would have been if I had to wait for Cammy DLC.

So there's no Sagat in this game? What happened to him in the story?

He's as integral to SF as Ryu or Ken.

Saving him for DLC along with other big names that aren't in at launch. No one quite knows about the story but considering he wasn't in SF3 then maybe we'll find out down the line.

I'm guessing he's in the next season / expansion after the first 6 DLC characters are released. I'm assuming he'll come along with new stages and mode updates a la Super.
