NeoGAF PlayStation Trophy Thread | December 2015 - 100ft Robot Trophy Hunting

I'm currently working on the Yakuza 5, Witcher 3, or Demon Gaze for my next platinum. All long games.

I've been working on Yakuza 5 for like a month and a half (though I did get sick TWICE during that time, as well as take breaks and finished a couple of short games in between). The number of minigames and side missions is insane, it feels like an even bigger effort than Yakuza 3, though I'm pretty sure the minigames were harder in that one.

I should hopefully get the plat this weekend though, so yay! Then I guess I'll start Book of Unwritten Tales 2, Talos Principle or The Witness because I need to follow this up with a chill game.

Hmm, there doesn't seem to be any English trophy guides for Yakuza 0 at all. Seems I missed some of the story trophies.

Congrats! What ended up being your 10000th trophy?

Legend of Korra Plat, wasnt planning on that just the way it went.

Video game bender it was called lol

Timet to quit now. Or to power through to 100.000.

No way i'm going for 100000, Took 7-8 years to get 10000!

Wont stop will just stop doing just one game at a time so i can get through more. My daughter is at the age now where she wants to play with me on things so I've started Armello (great game btw let down with lack of a campaign or story) While i do an area a night with her on Fat princess which is also pretty damn fun. Might be time to start getting the console lego games to play with her. Enjoyed the vita ones.

There are two of you now, so it is just half the time.

Platinum #128 - LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. A little more than 11 hours to finish it. Getting me up to level 34, 60%. Reaching level 35 as one of my 2016 goals seems more realistic now.

I'd love to do the UC3 MP boost, as I did it to 100% UC2 years ago and I'd like UC3 to match. Alas I only own vanilla and definitely don't want to have to buy the DLC.

EDIT: I got the three map packs (seems they're free). Looks like I just need The Fort Co-op Adventure and Co-op Shade Survival Mode. Both of which are $1.49 seperately, but appear to be part of this pack together for the same price? https://store.playstation.com/#!/en...ndle/cid=UP9000-BCUS98233_00-PS3U3MMDLCBUNDLE

Got 2 more plats the other day,

#101 R&C: All 4 one. Pretty boring game to be honest. I played some co-op which was fun, but for the most time it was a slog to get through.

#102 Alice: Madness Returns. This was a fine game. I loved the art style & atmosphere.

Got the Diablo 3 UE plat yesterday. Never. Ever. Going to touch a bounty again. Luckily i read up about the Zoltan kulle Act 2 "shortcut" when i had around 250 of the 500 bounties so it got it a bit faster from that point. Enjoyed playing all chars till lvl70 and the other trophies are fair game too. Just the damn bounties were a chore. Fourth plat after DeS, DaS qnd Bloodborne. Next is BB Old Hunters.

Are midway into DaS II PS4 but don't know if i want the plat there. Doesn't grab be like the others. Any major pains for the plat, like pure Bladestone grind?

With me moving to Newfoundland I had little to no time to play games. So now I'm just waiting for my TV so I can start Digimon and The Witness ):

Ugh, I've just realized that I didn't need to do all assignment for the Second Assault and Dragon teeth DLC from BF4 to get 100% trophies... I've already spent a lot of time grinding those, oh well...
Oh and fuck those Final Stand assignment, really.

Other than that, the game and its dlc are damn good :p

Nah the plat is very quick and easy to get (there are maybe the sunlight medal that are a bit annoying to farm). NG+ and NG++ are a breeze, you can either rush the 4 great ones or farm the Rotten.
I also thought the game was the weakest among the Souls games but I still like it. You can try a different build for your NG+, since you can respec. Go the total opposite of what you're playing now. It was fun moving from a DEX build to a magic build.

Wanted to get Baseball Riot out of the way today, but I can't get it right in world 6. Vita doesn't seem accurate enough.

Where did the time go? It's the end of January and I've only gotten 4 trophies the entire month. That's no way to play.

I guess that's better than getting alot of trophies but then feeling you'll be under the top leader so you stop playing because you want to save games for the other months like I always do. It's the same this month. Still I did a much better showing then in January.

Vita 100% - Baseball Riot. Got hard at moments, I remember Tennis in the Face as easier. Who knows, maybe I complained back then as well.

Getting curious how high I'll end up in December and January. Hope to be high in December and very high in January.

Wow I want to get on this. I had a blinding Dec and got 7 platinums. Think I might enter this (no hope of repeating December though)

I didn't sync my PS3/Vita trophies for a month because i keep both offline, so today i finally did so and im pretty happy with the amount of stuff i got done over the last month. Think i'll take a break from lego games for a couple of weeks now though. I still have Dimensions, Clone Wars and The Lego Movie left but i really can't play more Lego games lol

Hoping to finish up tlou mp trophies by mid month (those journeys are a pain) after that finish my survivor+ run (which is half done and I'll have the plat. Meanwhile busting it on siege which will get grindy once I get to terrorhunt. Still planning on finishing hit man absolution since I have almost everything except challenges and evidence for that.
I keep thinking I'll go back and plat battlefront but Idk if I have the desire to do it anymore.

Platinum #36 - Dark Souls II

Man.. What a great game. Getting the plat in Bloodborne convinced me to give this a shot and I'm so glad that I did. I thought this game was incredible. It took me a long time to platinum (around 80 hours if I remember correctly). The only area I disliked in the whole game was the Amana water crap. I know this is sacrilege, but I haven't played Demon's Souls or Dark Souls yet so I'm hoping they release a PS4 version.

I got the uncharted collection recently (I never played them on PS3) and I've been working my way through that, so those will hopefully be my next 3 platinums. I've already beaten 1 and 2 on crushing and I'm on the last chapter of 3 on hard, so I've got the brunt of the difficult trophies completed.

Battlefront platinum is 1 master difficulty survival mission in less than 35 min away.

Halfway? through Dark Cloud.

Making progress through FFVII when I can.

The Order 1886 is on deck.

Then Firewatch and hopefully the witness before getting back to the backlog.

January was a good month for me. February probably not as good.

Edit: Battlefront Platinum achieved

Got my 14th plat from Tales from the Borderlands. Trying to finish the following games:

Tearaway (new playthrough as my last one was glitched, preventing me from reaching a collectible)
Transformers Devastation (now started)
Bloodborne (backlog; started last year and never finished)
Dust: An Elysian Tale (backlog; same as Bloodborne)
Telltale´s Game of Thrones

Also playing Episode Duscae thanks to the FFXV Nifelhelm base vid (also so I can clear some hard drive space).

Fat princess adventures platinum 157.
Was alright. Grindy trophies. Playing through it with the daughter was very fun. Wouldn't recommend it solo. Difficulties don't stack but you basically need to play it through 3x plus a shit ton of grindhouse mode anyway so wasn't like you could avoid it.

I'm one trophy away from platinum on Mad Max but I've realized that one of my challenges is glitched which renders me unable to complete the Platinum. :(

Now to decide if I want to invest another 60 hours to get the last trophy by doing it all again.

No glitch solution to be found?

There is something funny about only 95% of the Final Fantasy VII players having succesfully completed a single fight. There are people that played the game and that didn't even finish that fight.

Probably loaded it up and then turned it off before playing it. I have a bunch of 0% games on my list like that.

So I got that Homerun trophy in Fallout 4 and feel like and idiot. I thought it meant I had to level up my melee weapon skill and knock somebodies head off, I was way wrong lol.

No news on the new topic?
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is going so slow by the way.

Don't start are he'll snap at you like he did me two months ago. But yea I always expect new threads on the 15th or later now so I don't get dissapointed and since it's not the 15th yet I'm not bummed. It sucks though as I do like these threads and I thought the OP said he found a faster way to do things that he would start in January forward.

Need for Speed platinum is now mine! I'm trying to average 100 trophies a month, I'm kind of sort of keeping to that. Should be August or September when I finally hit 5,000 trophies!

Compared to some here that's nothing, haha, but for me it's a good milestone!

Just another five paragraphs about how hard it is.

Maybe instead of whining you guys could volunteer your time to helping him get through all the work required to make the thread?

I think this is the year I really drop off collecting trophies. Yakuza 5 already stole almost all of my gaming time in January and it just seems like there's a hundred JRPGs I need to get through. Trails in the Sky FC and SC are up first, then there's a dozen other ones already in my backlog (FFX HD, FFX-2 HD, Tales of Xillia 1 and 2, Ni no Kuni, etc) or that I really want (Persona 5, FFXV, NieR Automata, World of FF, etc).

#46 Wolfenstein TNO. Very fun game, and Uber wasn't even that bad. People kept mentioning a difficult "bridge part", but I never got to it.

It was especially interesting playing this game after playing the TOB DLC, starting the game with the same weapons in a familiar setting then being transported 14 years later. One of the cases where I'd recommend to play the DLC before the main game.

#47 is about to be Minecraft Vita after I get the last 2 trophies. Just need to snipe a skeleton from 50m and deal 9 damage in 1 hit, which is proving to be a pain in the ass to get; I'm literally just killing everything in sight grinding my XP to level 30 for enchanting.

EDIT: Took me a few hours but I got plat #47 which happens to be my 3rd (and final!) Minecraft platinum.
Until I platinum Minecraft Story Mode.
Nothing too difficult, but damn the vita's technical limitations that kept on despawning the skeleton when I got 50m away.

#50 is gonna be Hotline Miami just because I like the name of the platinum. But my next 2 plats and beyond? Who knows. Might make them Tomb Raider PS4 & Grim Fandango/TWD.

100%ed Blacklight:Retribution today. Didnt think i'd ever say that... Good thing they patched the trophies. Getting to max level otherwise would've taken too much time for a lousy silver.

I try not to care about trophies as much as I did, but I'm still glad I finally managed to reach 75% completion after playing 149 games!

I still don't know what the 150th game will be...

Anyone else fucking sick too death of how developers of open world handle their trophies?
Most open world games are full of useless fucking tat as it is, but this "collect EVERYTHING" attitude towards their trophies is just so mind numbingly fucking bollox.

Yeah, currently going through Mad Max and while a suprisingly half decent game would of been so much better if it was not for above issues, should of been more like wind waker but with sand, considering it is a desert (sea bed) there is a awfull amount of fucking tat within short locations of each other, yes it would of had less too do my way, but it would of been more authentic and less "fuck the player, make him own the game longer"
