wienku may be an animu, but he's no fuckin Pats fan.

You can't be going out to sushi without having a beer with your meal. Common man!

Was Fire Emblem Awakening's story as bad as Fates? Also nobody answered me, Earthbound or Link to the Past?

Link to the Past obviously

He struggles reading defenses and his progressions are slow. See a lot of staring down his first read and then forcing the ball or going to the check down. Even worse, sometimes he'll get stuck looking for his receivers. That's from watching the tape. NFL defenses will be much faster and more complex than those of teams in the FCS. Physically, he has all the tools. No question about it. Does he have the mental make up to progress to NFL star? That's why teams do all these visits and workouts.

I hope he makes it. Seems like a good guy. But there's no way I'd put him down as a sure thing.

I know that's the narrative on him, but I don't buy it. Or at the least it's way overblown imo. I've seen him getting to his third read plenty of times, other times it's a half field read, so it may look like he's staring down before he comes back to the easy checkdown or pre-snap read.

Wentz didn't play in a pass happy offense. You actually have to watch tape, not just read game logs. He averaged 26 attempts per game in a pro-style run first offense that featured west coast concepts. He made all the protection calls and pre-snap reads, his OC used NFL verbiage to call plays. The kid is a day 1 starter. The only thing he is gonna struggle with is the speed of the game, but that's what rookie years are for.

Everyone agrees, on paper the kid has it. We're just all wondering if the level of competition will hurt his transition to the nfl. If he did that in the big 10 or SEC he would be the next Andrew Luck. whoopity doo, you played Youngstown State, South Dakota, Montana and Weber State. The biggest name he ever went against was Iowa State. I mean QBs that come out of the SEC struggle and theyre used to playing elite college defenses. Kas made a great point, Big Ben played in a garbage conference but completed 70% of his passes. Wentz is doing like 62%.

Bruce Arians
So how do the NFL evaluators take into account those game tapes that Wentz produced against FCS teams, when an equally alluring prospect like Goff was putting together his resume against Oregon, Stanford and USC?

"Do they dominate?" Arizona head coach Bruce Arians said. "They need to dominate at that level. They can't just be a good player at that level. They have to dominate the competition, and they have to have a swagger about them to be able to come into a locker room of SEC guys and other guys with a chip on their shoulder."

You know Wentz compares a lot to Derek Carr. I always bag on Carr because he too is slow on his reads and will usually check down if the #1 option isn't there. He got a lot better last season at being more patient, but he was still a first look and go kind of mentality. Physically they're both there, they just need more time. Carr got obliterated every time in college against big time schools.

Awakening's story was pretty bare bones, but Fates is even stupider.

LTTP then get Link Between Worlds which has pretty much the same exact world map.

I beat Link Between Worlds last year? Or whenever it came out, that game was a blast.

I understand that...if it somehow gave the Rams any kind of advantage or disadvantage, but what the Browns do with their pick has no impact on the Rams, so it just seems weird that they would waste time trying to prevent that rumor from spreading when it literally doesn't matter at all, in any way for the Rams, it just doesn't. But I think I'll follow your advice regardless....hey mech...PM your address...

My thought process was that they intentionally want to keep people guessing about their draft pick because it will generate publicity and interest about the Rams in general. With the move to LA and Hard Knocks, they want to do everything possible to publicize the team and promote them to both the LA community and on a national level as well, so maybe keeping their preferred pick under wraps is honestly just a marketing move so that the media will be forced to talk about the Rams and who they're going to pick, thus keeping the Rams in the headlines. It's a silly reason, but it wouldn't surprise me if marketing played some sort of role in this.

At the same time, there's still the small possibility that the Browns would want to trade up with the Rams in order to fully guarantee that they get the QB of their choice. A very small possibility, but still a possibility nonetheless, and I imagine that there's no real reason to eliminate that possibility by showing your hand in advance.

Basically, it comes down to the point that there's really no benefit to disclosing their pick.

All in the eye of the beholder I guess. Everyone sees different stuff.

That's not really a valid comparison if you look at passing charts, different schemes etc. There's no context there.

I mean thats Bruce Arians fam. If you think he needs context i respect that. But i think you want all these different factors to somehow fit and support your arguement. I just say, he played lower level competition, he locks on to his first read and he doesn't follow through with progressions. Thats about 90% of QBs coming out of college. Tannehill, Kaepernick, and Cutler are still trying to figure it out.

Close but way off - Tony Romo injury pool!

Pick a week, any week! Maximum of three people can pick one week, so act fast!

Week 10 - DeaconKnowledge

This is so disrespectful, I will not forget this.

<3, still debating going to the final auditions....

Ok the marketing thing makes more sense,

Also I'm not sure what y'all are seeing with Wentz any breakdown I've seen dude is no bueno and easily 3rd behind Goff and Lynch.

I mean just check out this timeline https://twitter.com/Cianaf for good examples but there are plenty more.

Week 3 Color Rush between HOU/NE will feature the Texans wearing Columbia Blue and the Patriots wearing Red.

No way in hell this happens. NONE. That is an Oiler/Titan color!

Week 4 NFL Color Rush will feature Dolphins wearing Orange and Bengals wearing White or Black (Bengals Color rush still in prototype stage)

Fan mock ups are not hard to find:

The only way I will accept this is if they change the helmet rule and allow both teams to wear their old helmets. But then again, the Oilers colors/helmet/etc are owned by Bud Adams, right?

Texans? The franchise has absolutely nothing to do with the oiler name or colors. they have done everything they can to distance themselves from it. Yes the Oilers history left with the franchise.

@DXTex Can't confirm how the final design yet, these are all in final prototype stages. The front runner design for HOU is a Oilers throwbak

He is just wrong.

Safety issues not withstanding, they probably don't give a shit about the helmets because fans don't buy helmets.

It's all about making die hard fans buy another jersey.

Talking about Kas's point not Arian's.

I'm just giving my opinion. I don't have a dog in this fight, I love my QB. I'm not a huge fan of Goff but I think he's a solid prospect that does a lot of good things.

Just imagining these uniforms is making my head hurt

Not all of them are bad. The Cowboys/Panthers ones from Thanksgiving last year weren't horrible.

nfl-color-rush-cowboys-panthers.png

Well the cowboys one reminds me of the normal thanksgiving ones they use with the star on the shoulder, those were nice but the vast majority have been ugly ass bright colors that don't look good and judging from the leak Rams/Seattle pic that trend is going to continue. If the Dolphins use the orange color it'll probably look like this but neon orange and full bodied...that's ugly
