Nintendo marks will defend literally anything. If Nintendo announced the Switch gave you an electric shock at random intervals Nintendo stans would defend it by saying it 'keeps you on your toes or is 'more immersive feedback' or something.

This game looks all kinds of ridiculous.
I inadvertently started a brawl at a bar/pub once. The owners sold the pub and were leaving, me being the seasoned drunk that I am became close with the owners of the pub. Their son used to often come up to my place after they'd close on weekends too and we were good friends. Long story short, at their going away party I got free drinks and their son just kept bringing out drink after drink after drink. God only knows how much I drank, I was stumbling around like a pisswreck in the gambling area and dropped my glass on the ground. One of the bar staff came out to sweep up the glass and some dickhead decided to say "look at you on the ground cleaning that shit up like the dog you are." It was so crazy, fucked up and it came out of nowhere. Their son went full "don't talk to my staff like that you fuckwit" and beat the shit out of him, then about 15-20 other people jumped in and fucked each other up.
I didn't shoot on anyone though
because I felt so bad and shooting isn't in my nature/I am a coward.

I mean, I like the idea of keeping all that stuff on my phone because I always have my phone with me. My Switch might not always have online where I am, but my phone will.

They don't really have a history of putting their title on anyone who'd be eligible for the UK Title lol

The way I see it, with the Switch battery life being what it is, I'd rather have messaging and friends lists and all that kind of stuff on a secondary app. It's the same with people complaining about no Browser or Netflix. Why would I want to use my Switch for these things when there are better suited devices right next to me?
Because I won't get game audio.
I'd also rather browse the web or use Netflix on my Switch as it has a bigger screen than my phone and I don't always have my tablet on me.
Battery life is a non-issue for me, I have a powerbank, it has USB Type-C, we're good Switch, we're good.
I actually like that they use the smartphone, I already have way too many headphones because my fucking 400 dollar Sony MDR-1000X bluetooth headphones won't work with consoles since they don't support it. Nintendo are actually the first to actually let me use my existing headphones with their console, so that's nice.

Not hearing the game doesn't bother me that much, I always turn down the game sounds when using voice anyways, but I also don't play shooters where game sound is needed. Not sure what they're doing about that, haven't even thought about it, heh. Yeah, that's a thing. Maybe it puts the sound through to the app? That seems too advanced for Ninty.

I feel like there's a disconnect between "issues" presented by Nintendo and the reaction from the non-Nintendo fanbase.
Looking at that list, and knowing the types of talent RPW book, it's pretty impressive how they manage to play both sides of the NJPW/WWE dynamic.

I honestly only ever really play games with friends I know in real life and I barely do that. The only multiplayer game I really care about is Monster Hunter. I won't pay for MP so I will just play locally with my friends (although now we are reaching/in our 30s, it is getting harder but still..). If the Switch gets a MH game and they remove local MP, I just won't play or buy any of it. I honestly don't care about anything else. Most of the stuff I really enjoy is weird indie shit on PC and most people I know (including me) are transitioning to board games for social stuff anyways.
Saying that, I completely understand why all of this is shitting people off.

I think it would be hard to sync the audio that way unless you bluetooth the phone to it, but then battery life again if that was the issue they wanted to solve with this.
Eh, I don't feel that way. I've gotten all Nintendo hardware day 1 since the GC and the Switch is no different. but it feels like an issue that it's not on the console itself. I feel like the OS is going to be half baked at launch and eventually they'll come and say "Hey, we listened, it's in the console now!"
I'm not against the app as a secondary thing, it could be cool in some use-cases. But if I don't see my friend playing MK8 pop up and can go join him, it feels wrong.
I don't play multiplayer outside of randoms that much anyway, so it's not a dealbreaker as long as I can click quick match and go, but for the few times I use it, it's a bummer.

This mentality is so juvenile, it literally puzzles me why anyone would care. If you don't like the device, don't get it. Why would you want it to do bad, as if that makes any difference to you - who doesn't want it anyways.
The device itself is great, and since nobody else is making handhelds anymore Nintendo is the only option.

Because I'd like to think that after a second bomb, they'd take a step back and go "hmm, maybe let's not tie a feature that was available on consoles 15 fucking years ago to a phone app". They're launching with a half-assed online infrastructure, IN 2017! It's barely an improvement over the Wii U.
