Tony's the leak! That's how he's gonna tie into this season.

Bad move taking her guys. Carter's gonna be on the warpath.

24 bad guys never learn. Never take a family member. It just ends up with you dead. Possibly missing limbs and/or your head.

EDIT: "I have your brother as well." "That doesn't mean as much as you think."

Dat Tonyface.

Next week looks awesome. This week was awesome.

Even if we don't get more of this 24, I'm at least glad we got this much.

And of course the old blackmail strategy. This happened like 15 times with Bauer.

;)

I hope Carter offs these dudes in the worst way possible. Just go fill Kratos.

Yep!

If you've enjoyed the series so far it's still worth watching.
It's got the same pacing and action style from the end of Jack's run (realtime but with some skipped time to keep things moving) so it's still quick and exciting.
Still a work in progress on getting the audience invested in the new characters, decent job on the lead so far.

Thanks!

I'm just happy that these two subplots are finally over and done with so that Tony can be the focus again.

TONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it didn't work for Dennis Hopper, then it's not working for Marwan-If-He-Went-To-Oxford.

Man... Habib Marwan was such a boring villain I swear. Sometimes I thought he was going to use his mummy powers and dematerialize and reappear somewhere else, lol

That's how I remembered that season.... that was season 4 right? That's when Tony made that surprise return to save Jack's ass. Then he went home to watch soccer and drink warm beer.

Do you really need the "go!" signal for 15 other terrorist cells, if they just broadcast on TV a terrorist blew up a bridge into NYC? Wouldn't that kind of be the signal to the other 15 terrorist cells to go ahead and do their own thing... especially as it gets revealed the terrorist was a girl who just came into the country 2 years ago, you know... the same time you came into the country...

RIP Bridge cop, he was the true hero of the episode.

This episode was great (and hilarious).

The terrorist's name is ridiculously long, and him escaping through the trees, seconds before the attack squad arrived was just incredibly dumb. Surely they must have some sort of invisibility cloak. I thought at the very least they'd try and say they escaped through an underground tunnel.

The high school subplot continues to deliver, with the woman getting second thoughts, the teacher planning an escape incredibly half-heartedly, the brother dying instantly after a shot to the lower abdomen, the teacher being stabbed in the back and also dying, and the woman becoming incredibly committee all in the space of ten minutes (also, their target is a bridge?). Also they truly have a crazy amount of explosives in that truck. At least it's over, but why on earth would the police officer just shoot into the truck and not ensure she's dead, or at the very least yank the detonator from her when he saw it?

The Teri Bauer subplot is also 'shocking'. At least it confirms the presence of another mole in CTU. Taking the wife and brother (also, they subdued the brother by hitting him with the van? Weak, Carter was hit by a car and literally walked it off) at least gives them more non-crazy-girlfriend related to do for the next while I suppose (no doubt she'll be back though, maybe she'll be the level-2 terrorist), but that's so unnecessary; surely they've another terrorist IT person. It does give us a very Season 1-like Carter plot though I guess. I like the way that nobody at CTU thought it strange that the agents to pick up Carter's wife never reported in.

EDIT: Also (preview)
I've not seen it but there's a lot of talk here about Tony appearing in the preview? I've no idea how they're going to get him involved. Carter knowing of Tony and using him as the 'IT person' maybe?

Nah, he
appears to be some kind of expert interrogator (torturer) and they get him to get the info out of the dad

Jimmy Smits asks who is going to handle the torture of his father or whatever they're going to do with him. Lord of the Rings lady says Tony Almeida is going to do it. Then it just shows a few scenes of Tony looking awesome.

That is one ridiculous reason to bring him back, for several reasons. But especially since he didn't really torture a lot of people, unlike Jack.
