Paul Ryan would be saluted as a national damn hero if he managed to both remove Trump and preserve Obamacare (by accident).

That's the standard that we have now.

My guess is that sally was going to say she told Pence about Flynn.

They are trying to plan for the fallout on that.

So yeah we kept him on for three weeks, then made up a story about Pence not knowing about it, so we could make it look like that was why we canned Flynn and not the "fake news" Russian story.

He's just going to keep failing upwards despite him being a fucking idiot of the highest caliber. The best part is that he was the only Speaker that made sense in the House and he couldn't get it to work, so if he's gone the House falls apart.

I don't know. Pence was good at feigning ignorance when it came to developments that he had to have known while he was governor.

Funny how just this morning there was a R senator (forget her name) on CNN saying the Senate side is way more bipartisan then the house so hopefully this joint conference is good

Yep. To add to that, Clinton's email shenanigans wasn't a conspiracy either. It was a legitimate investigation into whether Clinton violated the law as SoS, ultimately finding that she did not, nor would have anyone in her place. Some parts of the coverage around it got a little conspiratorial, just like some parts of this coverage get conspiratorial, especially tweets from randoms that sometimes unfortunately get linked here. However, legitimate news coverage like this is *not* a conspiracy theory, or anywhere near a conspiracy theory.

Also, what Clinton did was wrong, but ultimately a mistake. If anyone in the Trump campaign is found guilty, it wouldn't just not be a mistake, it would be full blown treason. There is a huge difference in the magnitude of the consequences a guilty determination will bring, and thus every facet of the investigation must be taken with the utmost seriousness.

Ultimately, if the FBI and all find Trump & co. not guilty, that is what I will go by, because I would be a hypocrite not to. If I can't have faith in the intelligence community in this country to determine whether or not traitorous actions occurred, I can't have faith in this country at all.

At most, expect an announcement to set expectations. We will not be hearing about the results of the hearing until well after it's occurred in the Senate's own report. What I am hoping for is further calls for an independent investigation.

People don't think the investigation into Hillary's emails themselves was a conspiracy, people think that the way Comey handled publicizing it was completely unprofessional. There's a difference.

He has been attached to trump since the beginning, he only has that job because he was an early trump supporter. Before this, he was a nothing congressman of importance.

Burr was on Trump's transition team as well if I recall. That or some advisory committee.

He might be another Nunes just smarter at hiding it.

He didn't want to do an investigation at first as well.

Whatever charges could potentially come out of this, treason won't be one of them. Russia is not officially an enemy of the US. Doesn't mean this isn't horrible shit, but treason is narrowly defined for a reason.
