She's extremely bland compared to not just the other girls, but really the entire cast. Spring Man at least has that whole unique toothpaste hairstyle going on, plus he's the main mascot, so yea.

Huh, I just realized that Twintelle and Min Min kind of resemble Callie and Marie, respectively. No wonder the waifu wars are so fierce between them.

I think Ribbon Girl has a great design. Spring Man, too. I just gotta give the nod to more eccentric characters like B&B, Min Min and Helix.

I think spring man has been getting more popular lately. His concept art is really charming, and he has a scrappy attitude that actually shows, a rarity for nintendo mascot characters.

Ribbon girl might as well be princess peach in a fighting costume. Her art has no personality, and her official color palette does her no favors in standing out. I mean, just look at these alternates:

Everyone's obsessing over her ass, but it'd be hilarious if that's another reason for her popularity: Her actually having normal arms. Plus we can see them clearly unlike Mechanica.

Definitely should've gone with this, but I guess they just wanted a simple design to pair up with Spring Man.

i don't get the ribbon girl complaints. i think it's a very nice design with a nice color scheme and upbeat personality. i think she's the best of all the female characters by far.

The robots, Mechanica and Byte n' Bark, are my favorites.

I wish I can love Twintelle as much as y'all but I think her design is pretty okay, nothing really special. Her shoe game on the other hand...

Can't wait to see more alternate colors. Wish there was alternate costumes too.

Watching the attract reel in the demo, Kid Cobra is seriously growing on me. His design looks awesome in combat, especially his segmented cobra hood from the back.

I love how the soles on their shoes have patterns.

Twintelle's heels have braid patterns on the soles; Kid Cobra's sneakers have scale patterns on the soles; Min Min's shoes have dragon patterns on the soles.

The attention to detail is top-notch.

Ribbon Girl is as dull as dishwater. Such a generic design imo.

I'd give the nod to Twintelle, but I think Kid Cobra looks pretty awesome in motion.

what? i dont get what you're talking about. im just saying that twintelle sexual pandery design is not exactly ambigous or unclear. i dont think sexualized female characters are evil or anything.
but personally im just a bit tired of them. if people like them thats fine, i just wish it didnt derail threads so much every time a half way attractive/sexualized character is posted.

It's a poll thread asking which design is your favorite and Twintelle is winning by a pretty significant margin. I don't think it's derailing threads to participate in the topic.

It's sacrilegious, since Min Min is clearly superior, but not derailing.

well i just disagree. she may not be scantily clad but i think her body is fairly sexualized imo. i think people constantly focused on her butt kinda comfirm that.

She's a fashion model/actress. She's not going to be ugly. The idea that ANY attractive female character is automatically sexualized is ridiculous

im talking about the derail that happened in this thread http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1375845 when someone posted a twintelle/zelda pic showcasing their butts. there was a lot of posts just talking about their asses.

i didnt say that. i dont ask for her to be ugly. but there is a difference betwen being attractive and being sexualized. i think twintelle body proportions are more on the sexualized side. hence the camera angles.

I mean, I do like that they went for parity with Ribbon Girl in regards to the legs. Good male legs are underutilized and underappreciated.

Not weird at all. All but a few of the characters here are pretty conventionally attractive. Might give you some side-eye if you were mirin' Helix or Barq.
