RIP Roger Moore. The man managed to pull off being James Bond despite being old as fuck. Truly an inspiration for all the olds everywhere.

I don't get some gamers.

While the graphics in RDR2 are not bleeding edge the art is so fucking good in those pictures. I am probably in the minority but I feel like graphics got enough last generation and for me now it is all about the art.

While I think Horizon has the best graphics I have ever seen it is not like the difference between that and most high end PS4 or even PC games is night and day.

Nah graphics can most definitely get better. I do agree that art is extremely important though.

We have reached diminishing returns.

It's like a car getting over 200 mph. You can do it but you have to do crazy shit for each additional MPH.

Also RIP to Moore. Loved those movies as a kid. James Bond movies are weird and creepy now but they were great back in the day.

I don't really think so just yet. I think the leap from sd to all these higher resolutions has slowed down the overall advance, but we've still seen some pretty impressive leaps this gen such as UC4, BF1, the witcher, etc.

Yeah I think we're getting to the point where there's diminishing returns, but this generation was a pretty big leap. Last gen you finally started seeing games appear more realistic, but there were still some gaps that made last gen games go into the uncanny valley. A lot of facial and body animations looked unnatural, textures were blurry sometimes, and lightning wasn't very good (in addition to a lot of games last gen falling into the grey/brown hole). This generation texture work and animations have taken an enormous step forward, and stuff like Physically Based Rendering has made lightning look way more natural. It's less of a jump than SD to HD, but it's definitely noticeable

Edit: For comparison, look at Uncharted 2 vs Uncharted 4. Both came out around the same point in their respective generations, and there's a definite jump

Graphics have been good enough since the GameCube.
Not for realistic graphics. Probably true for most other things as long as you were ok with SD resolution.

I think we are at that point now and it is going to cost too much GPU/CPU horsepower and money to greatly increase where we are currently at.

People that care about how a game looks more than whether or not it's actually fun to play has always been really strange to me.

It is weird. But then again we have weird console fanboys who try to shit on games that don't come out on their systems.

Graphics can definitely sell you on a game, but unless it is a graphics adventure or some slow ass rpg eventually you start to focus on the gameplay and getting past whatever obstacles the game sets in front of you.

Fucking hell no wonder Jerruh wants the weed rule changed. Every time they try to fix the pass rush one of them gets high (unless this is a PED)

Yeah I know right? Like those switch fanboys.

Shit looked real enough on the Gamecube (and the best looking DC and PS2 games, and the original XBOX of course) They had smooth 30FPS/60 FPS running at 480(progressive if you're lucky) and they looked good enough. Everything else since then has been gravy.

Albert Breer @AlbertBreer

Per source, the owners just passed a resolution eliminating the 75-man cutdown. So now, there'll be just one cutdown day -- 90 to 53.

Eagles initial lineups:

Doug says Seumalo first team LG. #eagles

Pederson: Jason Kelce is the guy at center. Will work Stefen Wisniewski and Isaac Seumalo is to get occasional reps. #Eagles

Doug says Jalen Mills, Patrick Robinson are first team Eagles CBs on outside. (Ron Brooks in slot)
Like that Seumalo is the starting G, but hopefully he ends up taking over for Kelce at C. Although if Kelce has Brooks and Seumalo surrounding him, he could have a bounceback year.

CB situation obviously still sucks, but hopefully Douglas can push for a starting spot. Mills + Douglas with Robinson in the slot is pretty bad, but that's going to happen regardless
