I was in basic in 2001, so it probably has changed. All the overweight people were pushed back to another group and were given one more chance to pass the PRT and that's it.
I still can't wrap my head around the stress cards today but I guess it's for the better.

Nazi is not a color, it is a value set and a belief. You choose to be a nazi, you choose to be proud of hatred and violence. I choose to be a liberal, but if liberals believed in killing innocent people you better fucking believe i wouldn't choose to take part in it. It makes me really angry! I hope nobody here will assume that having norse runes or symbols are nazi related!! What nazism did/do, is take other cultures symbols and calling them their own.
A part of the problem is that a lot of people are not familiar with the symbolism of other religions and cultures. The Swastika is everywhere in Asia, adorning Buddhas and temples. It's really fucking sad when you have ignorant tourists who don't know the difference.

Almost today like how Americans will sometimes be proud if they are 1/3 Italians, or Irish or whatever, the Romans saw themselves with an almost nostalgia for the greeks culture as a more pure form of their own.
The story of the revival Gothic type is to me the most powerful examples of nazi symbolism that was able to beat its nazi connotation.
Gothic type or Blackletters are bad ass and unique letters adorned by a very masculine style of fonts. The Fraktur Script was particularly popular in Germany, Norway, Sweden, Latvia and a few other surrounding regions by the 20th century. Today, one of those you'll recognize the most is Fette Fraktur. This is the type of The New York Times, of Corona Beer and many others!
Unlike the Didones who would appear hundreds of years later, the massive contrast between the thick and thin parts of the letters were due to the way the priests had their broad nib pens. Gothic type was originally the dominant bible font. Did it origin in Germany? Nobody really knows, but it is a possibility, so you can see why Himmler thought himself smart choosing this as the official Nazi Type. Everything he did was one big historical and cultural remix to fit everything under the narrative of German superiority.

A "friend" tried to pull the same shit yesterday. He pretty much blamed the protesters for not "protesting properly" and he was coming from a "neutral perspective".
