2012 NBA Playoffs |OT| Tanks for the Memories

The Thunder rolled into Dallas and whipped the Mavericks, 95-79, to take a three-games-to-none lead in their first-round series. That is the largest margin of defeat in history by a team playing in its first home playoff game in defense of an NBA championship

game 3 wasn't a dramatic knicks choke though

it was just the knicks being the knicks

Naw it was a choke, just not a dramatic one really... That was probably the worst Heat 1st half of the year. They got LBJ in foul trouble and on the bench for most of the third. They had their opportunity and couldn't do shit with it. Eventually Wade woke up and dicked em down then LBJ came back rested and the snuff film was back on.

LMAO, just got to catch up and watch game 3 on DVR.

Seriously, why do Knicks fans even bother showing up? Watching your team get blown out of the playoffs in a record setting loss can't be fun.

Ummm as a Dolphins fan I really feel for the Knicks for having to put up with idiot management. Even though they haven't been shit after Marino I stick through my team during good times and bad (as a real fan should)

I just realized how good last years first round was

grizz v spurs
mavs v blazers
pacers v bulls
lakers v hornets
magic v hawks

5 of the 8 were genuinely memorable.

Ohhh shit so that was from last night? Haha... Well we'll see what Cuban does, but I can't really argue with what he did. Even if we had Ty and the others, Dirk just isn't the same this year, which is the reason they won last year anyways. I do feel better though, looking forward to the offseason.

How Bill Simmons Gambled Away His NBA MVP Vote

Which brings us to Bill Simmons, who for all his influence and popularity with the public, has absolutely no effect whatsoever on the outcome of any sporting event, at least not until Caltech eggheads unravel the quantum mechanics behind the Reverse Jinx. He did, however, have to withdraw his NBA MVP ballot earlier this week after some attentive observers started connecting dots that started with him publicly announcing a bet on LeBron James to win the MVP before the season started and ended with his oh-so-public completion of an NBA awards ballot. (You'll never guess who he picked for MVP.) Obvious problem, right? Not to Simmons, apparently, or the NBA.

Stern should just totally mind-fuck everyone and switch Utah and NO. Give the Jazz back to New Orleans and give Utah the Hornets, which is at least somewhat similar to Utah's official insect (the honeybee).

I knew Mavs weren't even going to Finals this year after getting rid of the people that won them last year, Chandler + Barea. Being down 3-0 to Thunder is just sad, although they are a good team. I'm going to laugh so hard if they don't get Dwight next season.

Dwight doesn't matter. Just get Deron and he'll pussy whip Dwight into going wherever he goes.

Due to extenuating circumstances I won't be able to watch the Bulls game tonight. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...

Edit - lol @ Mark Cuban gif

People are saying that Gerald opted out to re-sign with Brooklyn in a deal that would make it easier for Dwight and Deron to stay.

But I have no faith in the Nyets anymore.

Wait, so that means that Deron is going to have to wait another year with the crappy Nets before he gets Dwight? And wouldn't that mean that the Nets have to get rid of Lopez and Hump?

He's the only NBA GM that I know of that goes to the arena to watch each and every game.

Dedication.

For sure, hell I trip when the Mavs lose, I can only imagine how Cubes must feel knowing he has all the power over the team.
