Dear god, yes. Tournaments are awesome. KOTR is awesome. No idea what WWE were thinking getting rid of it in the first place.

I'd be entirely fine with the death of all gimmick PPVs. They're dumb. Leave the gimmicks for feud ending matches, regardless of which show they're on.

KOTR was my 3rd favorite PPV as a kid, right behind WM and Royal Rumble. Loved the idea.

Money in the Bank is played out. Bring back KOTR, slap it in July, and give the King a title shot at Summerslam against an opponent of his choice.

YOU'RE WELCOME VINCE. sandow.gif

What the fuck is a shoot gimmick?

Worded poorly, but Punk's character (face, heel) revolves around being "real". All the backstage references, fourth-wall references, etc. are part of what Punk does.

It wouldn't even be the first time Taker was revered to as Mark on screen. It happened during Ministry Taker days when the story was that Mark got too into his gimmick and didn't realize it was a work, so Vince was all like "Mark, dude, seriously, you aren't really the devil, this isn't real, chill out". Then again during the Invasion where Mrs. Taker always called him Mark on screen.

Yet CM Punk's sister calls him Punk on camera.

Idk, but the storyline was that Undertaker started to believe his fake wrestling gimmick was real and a SHOOT and he really believed he was the devil. Then he showed up at a random show on a bike and in jeans and vanished until he reappeared as the Biker Taker for real.

It was an odd time. I feel like that was at the very tail end of Russo's WWF run.

I like these wise words! King of the Ring was great, as it was a month of investing a bit of interest, booking and momentum (usually) into a 'new' star.

But still. Do any of you even want to see Punk vs Taker? I don't tbh.
I'd rather he not even be on the card. Punk is best on the mic. Underbaker (as someone called him) wouldn't keep up so promos would have to be Punk breaking the 4th wall like with HHH.

Punk had to carry RR and EC against a washed up scrub and I see no reason for him to have to do it 3 PPVs in a row just to be rewarded with jobbing to Cena's 435 day reign

Punk is fantastic at never breaking the logic of the story being told while still appearing to be shooting. I'm sure people can find some random examples, but his big "pipebombs" always walk the line between work and shoot perfectly. He's not the kind of person to undermine the Undertaker gimmick. Most he'll do is talk about how rarely he wrestles, his age, how he can't hang with someone who isn't old like HHH and HBK, etc.

Mark my post down, John Cena will not have a title reign longer the 434 days.
hope your right but when it comes to Cena i always expect the worst.

even in losses he still comes out the winner. wouldn't put it past Vince to have one last FUCK THE IWC before he steps away

Flair needs some money

Earlier today, PWInsider.com broke that WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair would be appearing on ABC's "Celebrity Wife Swap" with his girlfriend, former WCW personality Fifi the Maid being swapped to go live with another family.
This afternoon, we confirmed the other family belongs to another WWE Hall of Famer: Roddy Piper.

The premise of the show will see Fifi go to live with Piper's family while Roddy's wife goes to live with Ric's family so the two sides can compare and learn from each other.

The episode was filmed the week of 2/14.

At the current rate they're going, there should soon be enough dancing wrestlers for a WWE version of Dancing with the Stars.

Oh man, a WWE Wife swap would be a glorious train wreck. Then we can get a Real Housewives of the WWE. Wrestler Wives. Come on WWE, you're sitting on a goldmine!
I think an Ex-Wives of Wrestlers would be more fun

They kind of do that with WWE Classics on Demand, no?

There's way too much shit to sift through, I'd prefer a curated show like Botchamania. In fact, Botchamania is enough for me, just get rid of the Indy crap he adds as filler and It'd be perfect.

Anyone have a Cenabomb gif?

he should use that more often

in fact, he should use any kind of slam or powerbomb or whatever

everything EXCEPT a hurricanrana

he's done it twice now, and it was actually WORSE the second time

actually, here's the question of the hour. Which is worse, Cena's hurricanrana or Miz's figure four?

Miz easily.

Cena's got heart. But yeah I would like to see him use more slams. I would like to see EVERYONE use more slams though.

I want WWE Network so bad because they own so much amazing non-WWE/WWF TV I want to get my hands on. Original WCCW! Smoky Mountain! Memphis!

WCW Saturday Night #3 (1 hour show on F/X)
12,786@ Williams Arena

Dark Match: Shark Boy v Yun Yang
In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Yun Yang defeated Shark Boy in 8:08 by pinfall with a Michinoku Driver II. (E+)

Dark Match: Air Raid v Jindark & Stasiak
In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Air Raid defeated Jindrak & Stasiak in 7:38 when Air Paris defeated Mark Jindrak by pinfall with a Diving Leg Drop. (D+)

Dark Match: Crowbar v Dustin Rhodes
In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Dustin Rhodes defeated Crowbar in 8:04 by pinfall with a Bulldog. (C-)

Dark Match: Konnan v Mike Awesome
In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Mike Awesome defeated Konnan in 12:05 by pinfall with an Awesome Bomb. (D)

--

Show Start

- Show opens with Scott Steiner in the ring. He's ranting about Booker T. Steiner calls out Booker T, claiming Booker has been ducking and diving him ever since he proclaimed himself a fighting champion. (B)

- Booker T appears at the entrance ramp and replies to Steiner. Booker says he hasn't been ducking and diving. He'll fight anyone who deserves a title shot. Simply put, Sucka, you don't deserve it! Booker says that Steiner has tried to bully his way to a title shot, and he's not going to accept it. If anyone deserves a title shot it's Lex Luger. Booker T says he'll fight whoever wins a #1 Contender's Match next week on WCW Saturday Night between Scott Steiner and Lex Luger at Bash at the Beach. (B-)

- The show returns from a break. Shannon Moore is in the ring. He blames Jamie Knoble for costing him the Cruiserweight Title last week in the 4-Way Match. Noble answers that by making his way down to the ring for a match. (E+)

Match: Shannon Moore v Jamie Knoble
In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Shannon Moore defeated Jamie Knoble in 7:43 by pinfall with a Mooregasm. (D)

- Norman Smiley makes his way to the ring. Apparently over the last few weeks he's been asking around the lockerroom if anyone would be interested in forming a tag team. Finally tonight he's ready to announce his new tag team partner... ALEX WRIGHT! Alex Wright joins him. Smiley announces that they'll be now known as Team Amazement. Wright protests, clearly he had a different name in mind, but Smiley ignores him. (E+)

- Team Amazement are ready to show the world how Amazing they are... with their incredible dance moves! Norman Smiley and Alex Wright start to dance really badly in the ring. The Big Wiggle and German Techo moves for everyone! (D-)

- But wait... Natural Born Thrillers... they hate dancing! They storm the ring and throw Team Amazement out. It looks like things are going to get totally out of hand when KroniK soon invade the ring too, trying to get their hands on the Natural Born Thrillers! They want another title shot, or perhaps they enjoy German Techno Big Wiggles. (D+)

- The show returns from the adverts. Buff Bagwell is in the ring looking especially oily and cocky tonight. He says he's ready to show Billy Kidman, who's sitting at the commentary table, he's THE STUFF and should have the US Title. (D)

Match: Johnny Swinger vs Buff Bagwell
In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Johnny Swinger defeated Buff Bagwell in 9:35 by pinfall after stopping to taunt and pose in front of Billy Kidman. (D+)

- Eric Bischoff makes his way to the ring. He wants to apologise to Sting. He's seen Sting in the rafters watching the last few weeks. Bischoff says he understands why Sting might be reluctant to return to WCW after all the problems Bischoff caused him over the last 5 years. He leaves an open invitation to Sting to return to WCW, to come rejoin the WCW family. Bischoff promises that things won't be the same this time around. (C+)

MAIN EVENT - WCW Tag Title Match: Fit Finlay & Hugh Morrus v Natural Born Thrillers (c)
In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Natural Born Thrillers defeated Fit Finlay and Hugh Morrus in 13:11 when Sean O'Haire defeated Fit Finlay by pinfall with a Double Superkick. Natural Born Thrillers make defence number 2 of their WCW World Tag Team titles. (D+)

Show End
Final Rating: C-
TV Rating: 0.26 (down 0.1 from last week)

Tried to get Shark Boy and Yun Yang to work the crowd in the dark match and it actually bought the crowd's mood down! 8 minutes was too much for the jobbers! D'oh.
Bryan Clark and Brian Adams both officially turned during this show from 'Heels' to 'Faces', after they ran in to save Team Amazement.
Johnny Swinger and Buff Bagwell had good chemistry in their match. Seemingly Johnny Swinger can have a good match with anyone!
It has become increasingly clear I'm having a hard time building 'heat' during the shows. I think this is in part due to the crowd wanting to see more bigger names, rather then solid in-ring action. Could be time to heavily promote the new Modern era of WCW.
The general feeling is that WCW don't have enough interesting storylines at the moment.

Will Sting return to WCW after Bischoff's open invitation?
Can Eric Bischoff be trusted? He promises he's a changed man!
Who will next week on WCW Saturday Night to face Booker T at Bash at the Beach; Scott Steiner or Lex Luger?

Hey Mr. Luchador!

Out of curiousity, how much of what's above in your post is auto-generated and what did you have to literally write out or put into the show?

Matches are auto generated. Segment ratings are generated. Angles are written out, you get an in-game text, but it's very generic. However, I try and use angles as close as possible to what you see in the text written out.

Was just kinda wondering how easy it would be to set up the GWF. I own TEW10 but nothing after...

Luchador, how do you deal with picking out all the angles? Even in the new version, it's too clunky and tedious for me to do more than a few shows without giving up on the whole thing.

In TEW13 there are more filters, and you can set up a 'favourites' list of most used angles.

Shouldn't be too hard to do after you've created all the data for GWF. However, that's the most time consuming thing, really. Modding is a pain, I tried it once and I've never tried it again!
