February WrassleGAF |BO-T| And Bo-ing is Half the Battle

From Wikipedia:
Professional wrestling (often shortened pro wrestling, or simply wrestling) is a mode of spectacle, combining athletics and theatrical performance. It takes the form of events, held by touring companies, which mimic a title match combat sport. The unique form of sport portrayed is fundamentally based onclassical and "catch" wrestling, with modern additions of striking attacks, strength-based holds and throws, and acrobatic maneuvers; much of these derive from the influence of various international martial arts.

But more than anything else professional wrestling is a good excuse to get extremely sad a few times a month when your guy loses or one of the cokeheads you admired as a child passes away.

So who are the major players in this field?

World Wildlife Entertainment is the pre-eminent sports entertainment professional wrestling company in all of the WWE Universe. Best known for their high production values and low fanboy-satisfaction levels, the WWE is the main focus of the Neogaf wrestling threads.

WWE’s secondary World Champion is the villainous heroic Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio is a wealthy businessman respected luchadore who is hated cheered for his Mexican heritage, his wealth philanthropy, and for the abuse friendship of his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez.

In February the WWE presents the Elimination Pay-Per-View. Wherein there are two matches where six competitors battle for the top prizes of the WWE, this won’t happen this year because they won’t put a movie star in a dangerous match but it usually doesn’t matter anyway because the Wrestlemania line-up is already set. On a personal note I would rather this pay-per-view were moved to where Extreme rules is so that we stop getting a rehash of Wrestlemania at that show and they use the opportunity to actually shake things up. But I’m pretty fucking stupid.

Thith yearth competitorth will include a returning Jack Thwagger who will attempt to win hith thecond World Heavyweight Championthip.

It will also feature WWE “Champion” The Rock taking on former World champion/gas jockey CM Punk.

Also expected to appear are diverticulitis survivor Bork Laser, 2016 Presidential candidate Bo Dallas, and Ryan “Ryback” Back.

Tell me more about the NeoGAF wrestling community:
Okay!

According to recent scientific polling data WrassleGAF does not enjoy the WWE product, they disliked the Rumble and think Raw was better at this time last year back when it was all about John Cena and The Rock. Despite this they will overwhelmingly come together to watch Wrestlemania, WWE’s annual Mania of Wrestling.

NeoGAF’s two favourite wrestlers at the moment are Antonio Cesaro and CM Punk. Antonio Cesaro is the Swiss born United States Champion who hates Americans with a passion, CM Punk hates all of his fans an d thinks you’re stupid for liking him.

From all of this we can determine that NeoGAF is a pit of self loathing.
Enjoy your stay.

Nice thread Persp, i'm going to shake your hand with respect.

Bo Dallas on the other hand gets no handshake, that's how much I disrespect him.

D-Bryne love hasn't fallen off, it's just that Claudio has been on such a roll and probably has the most in ring TV time int he past two months. Now that Hell No is coming to an end, I'm hoping that he and Claudio have a feud if he isn't going to go back to the WHC title scene. If we could get a 4 months Punk vs Bryan feud, I have hope for an American Dragon vs Claudio Castogcanoliano 15-20 minute match at Summer Slam.

I saw those two wrestle once at a Ring of Honor show in Nashville once. Bryan won with a triangle choke using a belt....it was No DQ.

Best match of the show also.

For some reason, I started laughing like hell reading this.

Re-watched PWG's Guerre Sans Frontieres show from 2009, gotta say it's one of the best PWG shows I've seen. There's a lot of fun stuff on the undercard, I really enjoyed Human Tornado vs Scott Lost and Roderick Strong vs Karl Anderson, which had an amazing finishing stretch. Strong is so good in PWG in front of a crowd who are firmly behind him. The final 3 matches are all top tier PWG. El Generico vs Shingo is a crazy back and forth match that never lets up the pace, CIMA & The Motor City Machine Guns vs Brian Kendrick & The Young Bucks is a crazy PWG spotfest tag match that is a ton of fun but probably goes a bit too long, while in the main event Chris Hero & Bryan Danielson put on an absoultely brutal and epic war for the PWG Title. Really good show all round, but Generico vs Shingo and Hero vs Danielson push it over the edge.

Highspots have the MP4 download and a bunch of other PWG shows for just $8; http://www.highspots.com/p/25860.html
