Wow, this is just masterfully launched looking at the names involved. Development staff of a bunch of Megaman vets + Inti Creates. 8-4 LTD, 2 Player Productions, Humble Bundle, and Fangamer all involved as well.

Can you add more funds later or is it a one time one tier donation? I want to donate enough for the signed art book but might only be able to go as high as the retro box art right now.

Hopefully I'll be able to upgrade to the $250 tier by the end of the month.

As long as it's within the 30 days, you can.

I think ZXA was the straw that broke the camel's back. As I recall, it had a really soft goal of two million world wide and didn't come anywhere close.

It was great fun, but ZXA wasn't a megaman game. Capcom can't expect all mega man fans to buy into all aspects of the franchise. The core games sold well, if the extensions don't....stop making the extensions.

I really enjoyed all of the mega man references in the kickstarter video. Quite amusing indeed.

Looks good. I'm down for this for sure!

I'm a bit amazed by the stretch goals for it coming to consoles. Seems a bit excessive but I no nothing about development so its probably just fine. Regardless well see where it goes. I'm certain it'll get the 900,000.

360 isn't going anywhere anytime soon and the Wii U is just hitting its stride after being out for a year. Lack of PS4 is surprising.

Flatlining and hitting a stride are two different things. Wii U is surviving, and just barely

Whats wrong with the choices of consoles?

The majority of the hardcore crowd that wants to play a game like this will have moved on. It's already not going to have much visibility by the very nature of being an indie title.. Would've been smarter to go with PS4/XB1 while the platforms are young. They're especially catering to the hardcore and the competition pool is much smaller.

It shouldn't be hard to get the game configured for the PS4/X1, or at least I wouldn't think so. They have plenty of time to do so, given how far our the release date it.

I love all the information they put out, and hope for the best. Maybe someone can make a "Mighty No. X" super boss for the New Game +, if they can reach that goal.

well of course i want another 2d side-scroller by inafune and the more kickstarters from japanese game designers the better... but they really need to sort their shit and be more efficent like western indie developers...almost a milion dollar and a release date of 2015 for a 2d side-scroller? really ?

This looks pretty rad, but 2.5M for consoles? Damn, this game better be like Megaman 2, Megaman & Bass, Megaman X and Megaman Zero 3 in impact and content for their time.

Yeah, but it seems like there are a lot of professionals on the payroll though.

It's japan. Development costs are ridiculous over there.

Donated $60, first kickstarter ever. Fuck you Capcom.

Sucks that console ports are sitting at 2.5 million. Which makes little sense considering the X1/PS4 will be out by then. But I'm guessing that may be the hidden ??? stretch goal before it though.

I'm in for $20. Also tweeted at @giocorsi to see if he can fast track this to PSN, he DID say we should ask him for any game!

$20 basic tier for a copy of the game is not overpriced IMO if they're shooting for a game with good production values. You're basically backing the creation of a Capcom-free MetaMega Man under the control of the creator. The team looks to have the talent to create a great game.

People easily paid more than that for Mega Man Powered Up, which was just a remake of Mega Man 1.

Welp Megafans, here's your chance.

The stretch goal for console versions is a bit out there, I think. We'll see.

Considering how easy it's supposed to be to port PC games to the PS4/Xbox One, one of those mystery stretch goals have to be for those versions.

Have never backed anything through kickstarter. I am backing this though.

Time for mega man fans to put up or shut up.

I'm kinda worried they might get hit with a cease and desist from Capcom. Game looks waaaay too similar to Megaman. So far at least.

Regardless, I'm in for $60. Quite possibly the most thoroughly interesting kickstarter I've read.
