WWE TLC '13 PPV |OT| Don't Go Chasing Bigger Draws

Imagine him wrestling in front of actual crowds again? I think he could return on a limited schedule, like HBK did.
Eh...

I don't doubt that he could put on a show, I just worry about his health at this point.

How about 2014 Kurt Angle?
Jesus.

He's been fairly actively trying to kill himself for the last decade. No thanks.

I really thought Kurt was going to die when WWE fired him.
My sentiments exactly. I also thought Kurt was going to die when WWE fired him and was so surrpised that he went to work for TNA not too long after being released.

Sucks, Kurt is one of the best in the ring, too.

So is this Cena/Orton match just going to be a one-off, or are they really going to do Never-Ending Cena/Orton Feud of Pain & Misery Vol 8: The Threat is Real? Last time they felt that both an I Quit match and a Hell In A Cell weren't enough to settle it, so whatever stips they have to come up with to make this even remotely interesting again are going to need to be CZW tier stupid.

The ending to Raw gives me hope that they've realized they need to end this relatively soon and move on.

No doubt Royal Rumble rematch at least. Maybe even with a gimmick stipulation.

They're probably going to feud for a bit, I'm afraid. I know Cena said Bryan will be his next opponent, but I think he'll be stuck in a triple threat with Cena and Orton at the Royal Rumble.

The one thing I love about raw and smack down is I can watch both shows in about 40 minutes. Fast forward through all the crap which is the majority of both programs.

The Rumble WWE title match tends to be throwaway more often than not (with the rare exception like the Rock's match last year, or the Cactus Jack street fight in 2000) since the focus is on the Rumble itself, so I can see a rematch of Cena/Orton at the Rumble with no change in champion.

Cena saying that = Orton wins, Cena probably wins at Rumble.

The money match is Cena/Bryan II.

Foley vs HHH was awesome. One of the few I remember.

Speaking of CZW-tier stupid, CZW have their annual CAGE OF DEATH iPPV this Saturday, for only $15 and - honestly - despite the bad rap CZW gets, I'm betting this is going to be a great show;

3JfjxFq.jpg

http://www.rfvideonow.com/czw/ - $15

. Cage of Death: Danny Havoc, Devon Moore & Lucky 13 vs Drew Blood, Matt Tremont, Ron Matthis & Rory Mondo
. CZW World Heavyweight Championship: Drew Gulak (c) vs Chris Hero
. CZW World Tag Team Championship: Ruckus & BLK Jeez (c) vs JT Dunn & David Starr
. CZW Wired Championship: Alex Colon (c) vs Shane Strickland
. Special Singles Match: Davey Richards vs Chris Dickinson
. #1 Contender for the Tag Titles: Azrieal & Bandido Jr. vs Alex Reynolds & Johnny Silver
. Showcase Scramble: AR Fox vs Andrew Everett vs Caleb Konley vs Latin Dragon vs Chuck Taylor
. Tag Team War: OI4K (Jake Crist, Dave Crist & Nevaeh) vs DJ Hyde, Sozio & Biff Busick
. Special Singles Match: Greg Excellet vs Freight Train
. Women's Match: Christina Von Eerie vs Kimber Lee

The Cage of Death itself will provide the sort of hardcore wrestling this Sunday's WWE PPV only promises in name, while there are a number of other excellent looking matches on the card. Namely, Drew Gulak vs Chris Hero for the CZW Title. Gulak is one of the best technical wrestlers on the indies today, while Chris Hero (recently released from WWE) was one of the premier stars of the scene before he was signed. Elsewhere, Davey Richards vs Chris Dickinson should prove to be the sort of intense, hard-hitting match-up that the CZW crowd will love, while the Showcase Scramble and Alex Colon vs Shane Strickland have the potential to be two great high-flying contests. Rounding out the card with a women's match between two of the better US performers today, Kimber Lee & Christina Von Eerie, a comedy encounter between Greg Excellent and $5 Wrestling's Freight Train (CHOO CHOO!!), a tag team war between OI4K and DJ Hyde and BLK OUT defending the CZW Tag Titles, this looks like it could be well worth your time this weekend.

I like how WWE tease with Cena standing tall over Orton with Triple H and Kane on his side. It's like "we heard you want Cena to turn heel".

I didn't take it that way... I thought it was a poorly executed "Orton has crossed the line because he hit Stephanie" and they were all standing there in mutual shock and disgust... I think the camera work and staging were just too poor to sell it.

Well, i'm going to be at the event live, so I hope it's good.
Last year, Sami Callahan (now under WWE contract), used actual human feces as a weapon.

I thought it was more like Orton constantly realizing the authority doesn't have his back so he can become that lone-wolf heel again who hears voices and punts people. [Also Cena playing Meta heel] I don't think it's a big deal if Steph gets hit in the WWE lol

Orton didn't really mean to though. Bryan pushed him and he ran into stephanie and he looked concerned aftee what had happened. It would be pretty amazing to see Orton being used as a pawn just so he could be fed to the REAL face of the WWE John Cena.

what happened? I thought Dolph Ziggler had finally broken through and won the World Title and now....he's basically on the undercard wrestling some guy named Fandango? Oh, WWE!

Kurt Angle in 2010/2011 looked worse than just about at any other time.

I think that was 08/09 maybe. He looked super gaunt for a few years there and was pretty clearly in the throes of addiction for much of 2009/2010. Dude was in bad, bad shape mentally and physically. Actually, for the majority of his run in TNA, the only difference between him and Jeff Hardy was that he didn't come to the ring fucked up.

He went fucked up everywhere else, though. TNA has been toxic for Kurt. Lost his wife and kids, "driving while operating privilege is suspended, prohibited acts-possession, harassment and prohibited acts", went from using excessive pain pills in WWE to full blown addict within months, multiple DUI/DWIs. Countless injuries. I believe he's had 4 or 5 arrests in total since jumping to TNA and a few rehab stints. It's been very depressing no matter how well he was doing in the ring.

"So what does the card look like going into this week?

"Really? That's all we have? Shit.

"I dunno, throw literally everyone else into a tag match."

I'm confused about three things regarding the tag match.

1 - Why are Big Show and Rey teaming up? Or is it a "we got nothing for either man" situation?

2 - Why not just put the Usos in the tag match? They've actually done stuff as a team over the past few months.

3 - So the whole "Big Show vs Authority" angle was pointless in the end? Ugh...

if the WWE was a football team and this was the season ender, the owner would have a bloody monday and fire Vince, Triple and Steph in one move.

I think Natalya is going to beat AJ so they can further push the Total Divas taking over angle. AJ having to fight the power and doing some not selling out shtick sounds about right.

Except they haven't done that for half a year now. It's possible, but they would've gone with Brie if that was the idea.

Besides, they've been putting over Natalya in every match against her and Tamina for a month now, WWE booking 101, if you go in looking super strong, you're not winning.

Gonna be a good match though if they get ten minutes, looking forward to it.

When Aiii can't be arsed to bother with full on predictions for a PPV you know we've hit a really rough patch.
Yeah I can't be bothered either, I expect the PPV fallout to involve lots of hilarity over how bad it was.

I will predict in here that we will not be getting Undertaker returning (it's way too early), but an Undertaker bell chime distraction will allow Punk to pin someone and win.
